Golf Tournament Gifts and Golf Day Prizes: 18 Ideas for Every Budget

Golf gifts laid out on a table: a dark green tumbler, cap and towel, a notebook and three golf balls

You've booked the course, sorted the format and chased everyone for their handicaps.

Then someone asks the question every golf day organiser dreads: "What are the prizes?"

However, the prize table is the bit everyone remembers. Get it right and the day feels generous. Get it wrong and the winning team goes home with a bottle of supermarket wine each.

The best golf tournament gifts give every player something they'll use, like logo golf balls, a towel or a divot tool, and save most of the budget for the prizes: a dozen Pro V1s (£52 / $58) or a pro shop gift card for the winners, a trophy for nearest the pin and longest drive (from £9.50 / $9.99), and a novelty trophy for last place. At a charity day, a bigger raffle lot, like a St Andrews golf package (from £395) or a club fitting, does the fundraising.

Below, I've split the ideas into tee gifts for every player, prizes for the winners, nearest the pin and longest drive prizes, booby prizes and raffle prizes, then covered how many prizes you need and what to spend. If you're still planning the day itself, our charity golf day guide covers what everyone should wear.

Golf Tournament Gifts and Golf Day Prizes at a Glance

The short version, from a tee gift for every player to the prize for first place.

  • Tee gifts: logo golf balls from £35 / $40 a dozen (minimum six dozen), or logo towels and divot tools from about £4 / $4 each.
  • Winners: a dozen Pro V1s (£52 / $58), a dozen TaylorMade TP5 (£47.99 / $57.99) or a pro shop gift card.
  • Nearest the pin and longest drive: a trophy from £9.50 (UK) or $9.99 (US), or a £5 visor clip.
  • Booby prize: a novelty trophy from £4.99 or $6.49, or a pack of joke golf balls.
  • Raffle lots: a St Andrews 54-hole package (from £395), a club fitting (from £100 / $99.99) or a golf break voucher.
  • Before you buy: in a handicap event, amateurs can't accept prizes worth more than £700 ($1,000) per competition.

My top pick: a dozen Titleist Pro V1s for the winners. Golfers lose balls every round, nobody turns down a free dozen of Pro V1s, and at £52 ($58) it looks generous without blowing the budget.

Prices were checked on October 27, 2026, directly with each seller. Logo and engraving prices depend on quantity, so I've given the starting price and the minimum order where the seller lists them.

How I Picked These Gifts and Prizes

Golf day prizes do a different job from normal golf gifts, so I judged them differently:

  • Cost per head: tee gifts get bought by the dozen, so every pound saved per player adds up.
  • No sizes: you rarely know the winner's size in advance, so most of these fit anyone.
  • Logo or not: I've said which ones a supplier will brand with your event or sponsor's logo, and the minimum order.
  • Where you can buy it: most prize suppliers don't ship across the Atlantic, so I've listed UK and US options separately.

Three Putt is my brand, and it doesn't print logos, so we only appear in the prizes section. No other company paid to appear, and none of the links earn commission.

Tee Gifts for Every Player

A tee gift is what every player gets just for turning up, so the price per head matters more than anything else.

If you want your logo on it, order early: one US supplier quotes two to four weeks for logo gifts.

Logo Golf Balls (From £35 / $40 a Dozen)

Golf balls are the safest tee gift there is, because every player uses them before the 18th green.

Titleist prints your logo on TruFeel balls for £35 a dozen in the UK or $40 in the US, logo included.

Logo Pro V1s are £61 or $73 a dozen, and either way the minimum is six dozen of one model.

In the UK, The Golf Shop Online sells Callaway Supersoft logo balls at £365 for 12 dozen, and they arrive as sleeves of three, which is one sleeve each for 48 players.

Best for: a tee gift nobody leaves in the car.

Logo Towels, Divot Tools and Ball Markers (From £1.60 / $2.34 Each)

For big fields, small branded accessories keep the cost per head down.

In the UK, Fluid Branding lists logo towels from £3.86 each (minimum 55), divot tools with a ball marker from £5.82 (minimum 35) and ball marker coins from £1.60 (minimum 125).

Those are guide prices before VAT, delivery and artwork setup.

In the US, GolfTournament.com sells logo divot tools at $4.08 and metal ball markers at $2.34 (minimum 50 each, free setup), and towels at $5.50 (minimum 100, plus a $50 setup fee).

Best for: big fields on a tight budget.

Player Gift Kits (US: From $29.80)

If you'd rather hand every player one box, GolfTournament.com sells ready-made kits with your logo on every item.

The Mammoth kit includes a Wilson Ultra ball for $29.80, and the Kong Tumbler Golf Kit is $38.60 for a 30oz tumbler, a towel, tees, a divot tool, a ball marker and sunglasses, though no ball.

Both have a minimum of 36 kits, and it's worth confirming the setup fee when you order, because the Kong page lists both free setup and a $50 charge.

Best for: US tournaments that want one box per player.

Golf Tees in Bulk (From £7.49 / $7.99)

Tees are the cheapest way to fill a goody bag.

In the US, Pride sells 100 white wooden tees for $7.99 or 500 for $26.49, and personalised tees start at $50 for 250.

Pride's site only ships within the US.

In the UK, a 75-tee bumper pack of Pride's bamboo tees is £7.49 at The Golf Shop Online.

Best for: a cheap extra in every bag.

Prizes for the Winners and Runners-Up

The winners' prizes are the ones people talk about in the bar afterwards, so this is where most of the prize budget should go.

A Dozen Pro V1s (£52 / $58)

A dozen premium balls is hard to beat as a prize, because plenty of golfers won't buy them for themselves.

A dozen Pro V1s is £52 from Titleist in the UK and $58 in the US.

For the runners-up, a dozen TaylorMade TP5 is £47.99 from TaylorMade UK and $57.99 at TGW.

Best for: the winning team, one dozen each.

A Pro Shop Gift Card (Any Amount)

A gift card lets the winners choose their own prize, and you don't need to guess anyone's size.

American Golf gift cards come in fixed amounts from £5 to £500 and last 12 months.

In the US, a PGA TOUR Superstore gift card can be any amount from $10 to $1,000, though it isn't sold to buyers outside the US.

Shop gift cards also behave well under the amateur rules, which treat them differently from cash.

There's more on that below.

Best for: winners with strong opinions about their kit.

Three Putt Polos and Tees (From £24.99 / $34)

Our Pin High polo (£29.99 / $41) or retro Caddie (£34.99 / $48) makes a prize that gets worn, and our tees start at £24.99 ($34).

The Reckless Driving tee (£30.99 / $43) is made for the longest drive winner.

We don't print logos, so these work as prizes rather than tee gifts. If you don't know sizes, a Three Putt gift card from £25 to £100 lets the winner choose.

Best for: prizes that still get worn next summer.

A Round or a Range Session (From £11)

Most golfers like the chance to play somewhere new, so a round makes a good runners-up prize.

In the UK, 2-Fore-1 gift vouchers cost from £11 for £14 of credit up to £50 for £100, arrive as a PDF and last 12 months.

In the US, a Supreme Golf gift card goes up to $1,000 and never expires, though it only covers prepaid deal rounds, and GolfNow gift cards can't pay for tee times marked "Due at Course".

For players who'd rather hit balls than play 18, US Topgolf cards run from $10 to $500 and never expire, while UK cards work at any UK Topgolf for a year.

Best for: second place, or the best-dressed team.

Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive Prizes

Nearest the pin and longest drive prizes are smaller, but the whole field watches them being won.

A Trophy for Each (From £9.50 / $9.99)

A small trophy beats a bottle of wine, because it sits on a shelf for years.

Trophy Store's golf range includes a 15cm longest drive trophy for £9.50 and a 20cm nearest the pin trophy for £13.25.

Engraving is free for the first 10 characters and £1 for up to 50, and Trophy Store doesn't deliver outside the UK.

In the US, Crown Awards' Kudos closest to the pin trophy is $9.99, with 40 characters of engraving free.

Best for: bragging rights that last longer than the bar tab.

Visor Clips and Boxed Sets (From £5)

golfprizes.co.uk sells nearest the pin and longest drive visor clips for £5 each, so the winners can show off for the rest of the round.

Its boxed gift sets start at £25, and a deluxe men's set is £39.50.

It ships to the UK and Europe, but not the US.

Best for: a prize they can wear on the next hole.

A Premium Towel or Glove (From £25 / $29)

Titleist's Players Terry towel is £26 in the UK and $35 in the US.

A FootJoy StaSof glove is £26 or $29, but gloves come in sizes and left- or right-handed fits, so the towel is the safer prize when you don't know who'll win.

Best for: a smaller prize that still feels like a treat.

Booby Prizes and Fun Prizes

Every golf day needs one prize that gets a laugh, and it usually goes to whoever finished last.

A Novelty Trophy (From £4.99 / $6.49)

Trophy Store sells 34 novelty golf trophies from £4.99 to £69.99, including the What A Donkey! award for £14.75.

In the US, Crown Awards' For The Loser trophy, a toilet with a golf insert, is $6.49.

Best for: last place, presented with as much ceremony as first.

Joke Golf Balls (£8.99 / $11.99)

A three-pack of Longridge's joke golf balls has an RRP of £8.99 at The Golf Shop Online.

In the US, a sleeve of three Shanker exploding balls is $11.99 on Walmart.com.

Just make sure the winner knows before they tee one up in a competition.

Best for: the joker of the group.

A Mulligan Coin ($10.99)

Ranger Coin's bronze Saint Duffer coin, the "Patron Saint of Mulligans", is $10.99.

It makes a good prize for the highest score, and at a charity day you can sell mulligans too.

Best for: the player who needs a second go more than anyone.

Raffle and Auction Prizes for Charity Golf Days

At a charity day, a few bigger lots give the raffle and the auction something to build up to.

A Round at a Famous Course (From £395)

St Andrews Links sells a 54 Hole Package from £395, for the Castle, Jubilee and Eden courses plus a food and drink credit, though the page doesn't say whether that's per person.

The Old Course itself is £355 in the 2026 high season and £380 in 2027's, but tee times go through a ballot, so it's hard to promise as a prize.

In the US, Golf News Net reports a $695 green fee at Pebble Beach for 2026 to 2027, and Pebble's own site says tee times need a hotel stay.

Best for: the headline auction lot.

Golfbreaks Vouchers (£25 to £500)

Golfbreaks gift vouchers come in any amount from £25 to £500 and last a year.

Only the person named on the voucher can use it, so buy it after the draw rather than before.

Best for: a raffle lot that pays towards a trip away.

A Club Fitting (From £100 / $99.99)

The Kingdom at The Grove, TaylorMade's UK fitting centre, sells fitting vouchers: £100 for a putter, £200 for woods, irons or wedges, and £500 for a full bag, all valid for 12 months.

In the US, a driver, iron or putter fitting at PGA TOUR Superstore's STUDIO is $99.99, and a full-bag fitting is $299.99.

American Golf's own fittings are free, so in the UK an American Golf gift card can work better than a fitting voucher.

Best for: the golfer who's been blaming his clubs.

A Launch Monitor or Rangefinder (From £279 / $299.99)

Garmin's Approach R10 launch monitor is £479.99, or $499.99 in the US, at Garmin's list prices.

The Bushnell A1-Slope rangefinder has an RRP of £279 in the UK and is $299.99 from Bushnell in the US.

Best for: the top raffle prize, or a sponsor's auction lot.

How Many Prizes Do You Need, and What Should You Spend?

There's no official formula, but GolfStatus, which makes software for charity golf events, gives a sensible shape:

  • Headline prizes: one or two big ones, plus a hole-in-one prize.
  • On-course contests: a handful of prizes for nearest the pin, longest drive and the like.
  • Raffle or auction: several lots at different values.
  • Tee gifts: something for every player, in line with the entry fee, paid for from the fee or by a sponsor. Not everyone needs a prize.
  • Mulligans: at charity days, GolfStatus suggests selling them for $5 to $10 each at casual events, or in bundles like three for $20.

Check the Amateur Prize Rules

If your golf day is a handicap competition, the Rules of Amateur Status matter.

Under the R&A's Rule 3, amateurs can't accept prize money in a handicap competition, and other prizes are capped at £700 (or $1,000 under the USGA) per competition.

Longest drive and nearest the pin count towards that limit when they're played during the competition round.

Shop gift cards and vouchers aren't prize money, according to the USGA's guidance, but gift cards that work like cash are. Trophies, raffle prizes and tee gifts for every player sit outside the limit.

Final Thoughts

The best prize table has something for everyone: a tee gift for every player, a few proper prizes for the winners and one daft trophy for whoever came last.

Order anything with a logo early, check the amateur limit if it's a handicap event, and keep the big lots for the raffle.

Then let the booby prize steal the presentation.

If you want prizes that get worn, our golf polos start at £29.99 ($41), and a Three Putt gift card lets the winner pick their own size. We don't charge for UK delivery, and US orders ship free from $40.

Still sorting the dress code? Our guides cover what to wear to a corporate golf day and to a golf tournament.

Frequently Asked Questions About Golf Day Prizes

What are good golf tournament gifts for players?

Things every golfer uses, ideally with your logo on. Titleist prints logos on TruFeel balls from £35 or $40 a dozen, with a minimum of six dozen, and branded towels, divot tools and ball markers cost from about £2 to £6 or $2 to $6 each in bulk. In the US, ready-made player kits start at $29.80. Keep the gift in line with the entry fee.

What prizes should you have at a golf day?

Prizes for the winners and runners-up, nearest the pin and longest drive, and a booby prize for last place. Charity days usually add a raffle or auction. GolfStatus suggests one or two headline prizes, a handful for on-course contests and several raffle lots at different values. Every player should get a tee gift, but not everyone needs a prize.

How much should you spend on golf day prizes?

There's no set figure, so start from your entry fee and any sponsorship. A dozen Pro V1s (£52 / $58) is a generous winner's prize, trophies start at £9.50 or $9.99, and a novelty booby prize costs from £4.99. In handicap events, keep each amateur's prizes under £700 ($1,000) per competition, not counting trophies, raffle prizes or tee gifts.

Can amateurs win prizes at a golf day?

Yes, within limits. In a handicap competition, amateurs can't take prize money, and other prizes are capped at £700 under the R&A or $1,000 under the USGA, including longest drive and nearest the pin played in the round. Shop gift cards are fine, but cash-like cards count as prize money. Raffle prizes, trophies and tee gifts are outside the limit.

What is a good booby prize for golf?

Something funny rather than cruel. A novelty trophy, like Trophy Store's What A Donkey! award (£14.75) or Crown Awards' For The Loser toilet trophy ($6.49), always gets a laugh. Joke golf balls (£8.99 / $11.99) or a mulligan coin ($10.99) work too, and they're things the winner might actually use, or at least show off.

What is a good raffle prize for a charity golf day?

A round, a fitting or a gadget. St Andrews Links sells a 54-hole package from £395, Golfbreaks vouchers run from £25 to £500, a club fitting starts at £100 in the UK or $99.99 in the US, and a Garmin Approach R10 launch monitor is £479.99 ($499.99). Buy name-specific vouchers after the draw, not before.
