Golf is expensive enough before you've bought a single shirt.

The trouble is, cheap golf clothes usually look cheap: shiny polyester, collars that curl after a month and logos the size of a beer mat.

However, you don't need to spend a fortune to look the part. A handful of budget brands make golf polos for under £30 that look like they cost twice as much, and the big names cost less than you'd think if you know where to look.

The best cheap golf clothes in 2026 come from Decathlon's Inesis range (polos from £9.99), Amazon Essentials, Slazenger at Sports Direct (£12) and Druids (£22) in the UK, and 32 Degrees ($7.99) and Ben Hogan at Walmart ($17.98) in the US. If you want a big name for less, Puma's Pure polo is £35 ($55), and off-price shops like TK Maxx and TJ Maxx sell branded golf clothing below full price.

Below, I've split the cheap golf brands I'd actually wear into UK and US picks, followed by the big brands' cheapest polos, where to find golf clothes for less, and a few simple ways to make a budget polo look like it cost far more.

About the author: Graeme Whiles is the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing and plays off 14 in West Yorkshire. He has reviewed more than 100 golf clothing brands on this journal and has worn every budget brand on this list.

In this guide:

Cheap Golf Clothes at a Glance

The short version, with the cheapest decent polo from each brand.

  • Cheapest of all: Amazon Essentials' golf polo, under £11 in most sizes, and Decathlon's cotton Inesis MW100 at £9.99.
  • Best budget brand in the UK: Decathlon Inesis, with polos from £9.99 to £19.99.
  • Best from a golf specialist: Druids (£22 / $50) and Island Green (£24.99).
  • Best in the US: 32 Degrees ($7.99) and Ben Hogan at Walmart ($17.98, up to 5XL).
  • Big names for less: Puma's Pure polo (£35 in the UK, $55 in the US) and Nike's Velocity (£39.99, or $65).
  • Where to look: TK Maxx and Sports Direct in the UK, and TJ Maxx and Marshalls in the US.

My top pick: Decathlon's Inesis WW500 (£19.99). It's a proper performance golf polo, light and stretchy for warm rounds, in sizes up to 4XL, and nobody will guess what it cost. The catch is that Decathlon doesn't sell it in the US, where 32 Degrees ($7.99) is the bargain to beat.

Brand Cheapest polo worth buying Where to buy it Sold in
Amazon Essentials Golf Polo, under £11 in most sizes / about $15.90 Amazon UK and US

ATSG Essentials Core Polo, £30 atsg-golf.com UK mainland only
Calvin Klein Golf Uni Golf Polo, £35 American Golf UK
32 Degrees Cool Classic Polo, $7.99 32degrees.com US

PGA TOUR Airflux Polo, usually under $25 PGA TOUR Superstore US
Puma Pure 3.0 £35 / Pure 2.0 $55 Puma UK and US

Prices are full prices, checked on October 25 and 26, 2026, on each brand's or retailer's own website. Budget brands run sales often, so you'll regularly find these for less.

How I Picked These Brands

Cheap is easy. Cheap that doesn't look it is the hard part.

Every brand here had to make a golf polo at a genuinely low full price, and I judged each one on four things:

  • The look: does it pass for a shirt that cost twice as much, or does it shine like a football kit?
  • The collar: cheap polos give themselves away at the collar first, so it has to hold its shape.
  • Playability: can you swing in it, and does it cope with a sweaty summer round?
  • Getting hold of it: is it sold in Britain, America or both, and what does delivery add?

Three Putt is my brand, and our polos are priced for this list, so they're on it. Nobody paid to be included, and I don't earn anything from the links.

The Best Cheap Golf Brands in the UK

These are the cheapest golf polos in Britain that I'd actually wear, from supermarket-level prices to golf specialists that still come in under £35.

Amazon Essentials Golf Polo: The Cheapest of the Lot

Close-up of a black Amazon Essentials golf polo with a three-button placket

Amazon's own-label golf polo is the cheapest proper golf shirt I've found.

Amazon prices each size and colour separately, but most come in under £11.

It's 100% recycled polyester, and the sizes run from XS to XXL, with tall and plus sizes too. It's sold on Amazon in the US as well (see below).

Best for: a spare polo for the bag, or three for the price of one.

Decathlon Inesis: The Best Budget Golf Brand

Man in a lavender-grey Decathlon Inesis golf polo

Decathlon's golf brand, Inesis, is where I'd send anyone kitting themselves out for less than £50.

The cotton MW100 is £9.99 in sizes up to 5XL, the MW500 cotton blend is £14.99 for 10 to 20°C, and the WW500 is a light polyester polo for warmer rounds at £19.99.

The one catch: you can't buy them in the US.

Best for: the best polo for the money in Britain.

Slazenger at Sports Direct: £12 Polos From an Old Golf Name

Golfer in a black Slazenger polo crouching on the course with an iron

Slazenger has been part of Frasers Group, which owns Sports Direct, since 2004, and its golf polos are among the cheapest on the high street.

The Check Golf Polo is £12, in a 65% polyester and 35% cotton mix, and it comes in sizes from XS to 5XL.

Ignore the "RRP £24.99" on the page: Slazenger is Sports Direct's own brand, so treat that figure as a reference rather than a real saving.

Best for: bigger golfers who need a cheap polo in a 4XL or 5XL.

Matalan Souluxe: The Cheap Polo With a Zip Neck

Matalan sells golf polos under its Souluxe sportswear range, and the full price is £16.

The Souluxe Black Golf Polo is 82% nylon and 18% elastane, so it stretches well, and it has a zip neck rather than buttons. Sizes run from S to 2XL.

Best for: a stretchy high street polo for £16.

Druids: The Biggest Budget Golf Brand

Close-up of a white Druids golf polo with the Druids logo on the collar

Edinburgh's Druids built its name on cheap golf clothing sold in bundles, and its Tour Polo 2.0 costs £22 ($50), made from nylon and spandex with a tailored fit.

Nearly every product on druids.com carries a struck-through "was" price, so judge it on what you actually pay.

It delivers to about 40 countries, and American buyers pay no extra duties.

Our Druids review looks at the quality in more detail.

Best for: filling a golf wardrobe on one small budget.

Island Green: Budget Polos With Technical Touches

Golfer in an orange Island Green polo and grey trousers pulling on a white glove

Island Green designs its golf clothing in Whitefield, north Manchester, and its Performance Polo is £24.99, with four-way stretch and a mesh back panel.

It also makes ranges for women and juniors, but it doesn't ship to the US.

Best for: golf society shirts, since it offers embroidery too.

Uniqlo DRY-EX Polo: Not Sold for Golf, but It Works

Uniqlo doesn't sell its DRY-EX Polo as a golf shirt, but it's a light, fast-drying polo that's easy to wear on the course, and Adam Scott has been a Uniqlo ambassador since 2013.

It's £24.90 in the UK and $29.90 in the US, in recycled polyester and polyamide.

Best for: a plain, smart polo that works off the course too.

Stuburt: Old Golf Name, Modern Budget Polo

Golfer in a navy Stuburt polo with a white collar and a white cap

Stuburt's history goes back to two Manchester shoemakers in 1860, and Darren Clarke won the 2011 Open in its shoes.

Today, the Urban Performance Polo costs £29.99 ($35) and has UV50 protection built in.

Best for: a cheap polo with a Major-winning back story.

ATSG: Plain Golf Basics From Stockport

ATSG's Essentials Core Polo costs £30, in a regular fit and 100% polyester.

It only delivers to the UK mainland, though.

Best for: no-fuss basics if you live in mainland Britain.

Calvin Klein Golf: A Designer Name for £35

Man in a navy Calvin Klein golf polo with a subtle all-over print

Calvin Klein Golf is made under licence by PGB Sports, based in Cork, Ireland, which has held the licence since 2009.

The Uni Golf Polo is £35 at American Golf, in a cotton-rich blend with a little stretch, and Sports Direct sells other Calvin Klein Golf polos for less.

Best for: a designer label at a high street price.

Three Putt Golf: Our Own Polos

Cream Three Putt Pin High golf polo with raglan sleeves, laid flat

Our Pin High polo costs £29.99 ($41), a midweight knit with some stretch and raglan sleeves, and the all-cotton Dogleg and retro Caddie are £34.99 ($48). If you just want a heavyweight tee for the range, the Three on the Green tee is £24.99 ($35).

UK delivery is free, and US delivery is free from $40.

Best for: a cheap polo with a bit more personality.

The Best Cheap Golf Brands in the US

American golfers have even more cheap options, thanks to big-box stores and own-label brands.

32 Degrees Cool Classic Polo: Under $10

32 Degrees, a division of David Peyser Sportswear, tags its Cool Classic Polo for golf, and it's $7.99.

It's 90% polyester and 10% spandex, with four-way stretch and a slim fit, in sizes S to XXL.

Ignore the "$30 Comp. Value" next to the price: it's a comparison figure, not a previous price.

Best for: a stretchy golf polo for less than $10.

Amazon Essentials Golf Polo (US)

Amazon's US golf polo usually sells for around $15.90, in polyester piqué, in sizes XS to XXL and more than 30 colours.

Best for: fast, cheap delivery if you're already on Amazon.

Ben Hogan at Walmart: Big Sizes for Under $20

Ben Hogan's name is now a Perry Ellis brand, and its Performance Easy Care Solid Polo is $17.98 at Walmart.

The size range is the real selling point: S to 5XL, plus tall and big sizes.

Best for: bigger and taller golfers on a tight budget.

PGA TOUR Airflux Polo: The Tour Name for Less

PGA TOUR-branded clothing is also made by Perry Ellis, and the Airflux polo usually sells for under $25 at PGA TOUR Superstore.

Best for: a classic-fit polo with built-in sun protection.

Big Golf Brands for Less

You don't have to go budget to spend less. The big tour brands all make an entry-level polo, and at full price, these four all cost £40 or less in the UK.

Puma Pure Polo: The Cheapest Tour-Brand Polo

Golfer in a pink and teal tropical-print Puma polo and a matching bucket hat

Puma's Pure is the cheapest of these four.

British golfers get the Pure 3.0 at £35, made from recycled polyester with four-way stretch, while American golfers get a different shirt, the Pure 2.0, at $55 and in sizes up to 5XL.

Best for: a tour-brand logo for the least money.

Nike Velocity Dri-FIT Polo: The Tour Look for Under £40

Two golfers in Nike polos, one red and one grey, on a rooftop range above a city skyline

The Velocity is £39.99 ($65), in a stretchy polyester and elastane mix, with sizes from XS to 4XL.

It's the same brand Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler wear, and it doesn't look like the cheapest thing Nike makes.

Best for: looking like you've spent more than you have.

Under Armour Matchplay Polo: The Budget Pick for Tall Golfers

Golfer in a blue and white striped Under Armour polo watching a chip shot

The Matchplay is £40 ($60), and Under Armour's US site gives it UPF 50+ sun protection and sells it in tall sizes.

Best for: tall golfers in the US who want a big brand for less.

adidas Ultimate365 Solid Polo: The Most Stretch for the Money

Man in a navy adidas polo with a chest pocket and a white adidas cap

The Ultimate365 Solid is £40 ($70), and with 12% elastane, it has more stretch than most polos at any price.

Best for: golfers who hate feeling restricted at the top of the swing.

All four go on sale regularly, and our guide to the best golf polos puts them side by side with the premium options.

Where to Buy Golf Clothes Cheap

The other way to buy cheap golf clothes is to buy expensive ones somewhere cheap.

In the UK

  • TK Maxx: it has a men's golf section online, and the stock changes constantly, so it's worth checking often for big-brand polos below their usual price.
  • Sports Direct: its golf clothing covers more than 20 brands, from Slazenger and Island Green to Nike, adidas, Under Armour, Callaway and FootJoy.
  • Brand sale pages: adidas and FootJoy both run sale sections on their UK sites, which is the safest way to get last season's colours for less.
  • Second-hand: eBay and Vinted are full of barely worn golf polos from big brands, often for less than a new budget one.

In the US

  • TJ Maxx and Marshalls: both have men's golf sections online, with polos usually well under $30.
  • Walmart: where you'll find Ben Hogan's budget golf range, in sizes most brands don't make.
  • Costco: it doesn't sell a golf polo as such, but its Kirkland Signature Pima Polo ($14.97) is a smart cotton polo with a proper collar.
  • Brand outlets: big golf brands like Greyson and Straight Down run outlet or sale sections, which is where premium polos drop into budget territory.

How to Make Cheap Golf Clothes Look Expensive

A cheap golf polo can look expensive, or a pricey one can look cheap. Most of it comes down to a few simple choices.

  • Go plain: solid navy, white, black or stone looks smarter than a busy print, and it hides a cheap fabric far better.
  • Get the fit right: a polo that fits well looks more expensive than a better polo that's a size too big. The shoulder seam should sit on your shoulder, and the sleeves should end halfway down your upper arm.
  • Watch the collar: wash cool and hang it to dry. A tumble dryer is how cheap collars start to curl.
  • Skip the big logos: a small chest logo always looks smarter than a brand name across the front.
  • Match your trousers: a £20 polo with well-fitting navy or stone trousers looks sharper than a £90 polo with baggy ones.

And if your club has a dress code, a proper collar matters more than the label. Our golf dress code guide explains what clubs usually ask for.

Final Thoughts

You don't need to spend much to look good on a golf course.

A plain £10 to £30 polo that fits well will always look better than a pricey one that doesn't, and the brands above prove it.

Spend the money you save on what actually makes a difference to your golf: a decent waterproof, good shoes, or a lesson.

If you want something cheap with a bit more personality, our golf polos start at £29.99 ($41) and our golf T-shirts at £24.99 ($35). We don't charge for UK delivery, and US orders of $40 and up ship free too.

For the polos one step up, our guide to the best golf polos has 15 more, and our round-up of golf clothing brands covers the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cheap Golf Clothes

Where can I buy cheap golf clothes?

In the UK, Decathlon, Sports Direct, Amazon and TK Maxx are the best places to start, and Druids and Island Green sell cheap golf clothing direct. In the US, try 32 Degrees, Walmart (for Ben Hogan), PGA TOUR Superstore, TJ Maxx and Marshalls. For big brands for less, check the sale sections on adidas and FootJoy's own sites.

What is the cheapest golf clothing brand?

For polos, Amazon Essentials and Decathlon's Inesis are the cheapest I've found in the UK, with most Amazon polos under £11 and the Inesis MW100 at £9.99. In the US, 32 Degrees sells its golf-tagged Cool Classic Polo for $7.99. Slazenger at Sports Direct is close behind, at £12.

Are cheap golf polos worth it?

The good ones are. A £15 to £25 polo from Decathlon, Druids or Island Green will stretch, cope with sweat and pass a dress code. Where cheap polos fall down is the collar, which can curl after a few washes, and the fabric, which can look shiny. Plain colours and a cool wash help both.

Is Decathlon golf clothing any good?

For the price, yes. Decathlon's Inesis polos are made for golf, with a light polyester WW500 (£19.99) for warm rounds and a cotton-blend MW500 (£14.99) for 10 to 20°C, in sizes up to 4XL. They don't have UV ratings, and they're not available in the US.

Does TK Maxx sell golf clothes?

Yes. TK Maxx has a men's golf clothing section online and in some stores, selling big-brand golf polos below their usual prices. What's in stock changes all the time, so it pays to check often. In the US, its sister chains TJ Maxx and Marshalls both have men's golf sections too.

Can you wear a cheap polo to a golf club?

Yes, provided it has a proper collar. Clubs care about the collar and how smart you look, not the price or the brand. A plain, well-fitting £15 polo will pass any dress code a £90 one will. There's more in our golf dress code guide.
