Golf Outerwear
Golf outerwear for cold, dry rounds. The First Tee quarter-zip and the Halfway Hut gilet are both 380gsm cotton-rich sweats with our hand-drawn TPG pennant on the chest, cut to go over a polo without getting in the way of your swing.
Golf quarter-zips and gilets, from £44.99
First Tee (£49.99) is the quarter-zip: a stand collar, a contrast zip placket and no hood, so it sits right at clubs where hoodies aren't welcome. Sizes S to 3XL. Halfway Hut (£44.99) is the gilet: a funnel neck, a full zip and two side pockets, warm through the middle and free at the shoulders. Sizes XS to 2XL.
How to layer them
Wear either over one of our golf polo shirts, or the gilet over the quarter-zip when it really turns cold. Neither is waterproof, so keep a jacket in the bag for the wet days. For more warmth and a hood, try our golf hoodies.
Golf outerwear FAQs
Can I wear a quarter-zip or gilet on the golf course?
At most clubs, yes. A quarter-zip or gilet over a collared polo is everyday golf kit, and neither has a hood. Dress codes are set club by club, though, so check yours before a competition.
How do the quarter-zip and gilet fit?
Both are a regular fit. The First Tee quarter-zip is slimmer than our sweatshirts: take your usual size to wear it over a polo, or size up one for a thicker layer underneath. Sizes S to 3XL. The Halfway Hut gilet is about the width of our sweatshirts: take your usual size over a polo or the quarter-zip, or size up one to wear it over a sweatshirt. Sizes XS to 2XL.
Are they waterproof?
No. Both are 380gsm cotton-rich sweats (61.9% cotton, 38.1% polyester), made for warmth and a free swing rather than rain. On a wet day, keep a waterproof in the bag.
Quarter-zip or gilet?
Go quarter-zip for warm arms and a collar to zip up against the wind. Go gilet to keep your core warm with nothing across your shoulders at the top of the backswing. On a cold morning, wear the gilet over the quarter-zip.
