Big Wedge Golf vs Three Putt: Golf Polos or Graphic Streetwear

We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

A YouTube channel's golf label against a Leeds streetwear brand: two UK brands selling tees, hoodies and sweatshirts in pounds, with very different ideas about what you wear on the course.
How We Review Golf Clothing Brands
Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.

Brand Overview
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt Golf is a UK golf streetwear brand based in Leeds. It sells just four garments: tees, long-sleeve tees, sweatshirts and hoodies. Each comes in six graphic designs: Contours, Happy Place, Tee Time, Reckless Driving, The Scenic Route and Three on the Green.
The limits are worth stating plainly. There are no polos, trousers, shorts, outerwear, waterproofs or caps, and no women's-specific range. Three Putt is clothing for around the game, not a full kit for a wet medal round.
Big Wedge Golf
Big Wedge Golf began as a YouTube channel in 2024, built by W2S, Miniminter and Zerkaa of the Sidemen, with Callux, Calfreezy and Randolph. Seb of Seb on Golf runs it as CEO. In October 2026 the channel had about 859,000 subscribers and more than 175 million views.
The clothing line launched on 11 August 2025, and a second drop on 2 December 2025 added the Golf Co. and Heritage designs. The site's banner reads "PREMIUM GOLFWEAR", and the pricing is accessible rather than luxury. Big Wedge sells through its own website and announces drops to its mailing list.
It is more than a clothing label. The free Big Wedge Golf app for iOS and Android offers live scorecards, GPS distances, shot tracking and leaderboards. A paid Premium tier has been announced, with an Early Bird annual price of £29.99 at launch. Big Wedge also has a club partnership with Takomo Golf.

Key Features and Fabrics
Three Putt Golf
- Tees: 100% cotton, 305gsm, relaxed fit, in five colourways per design.
- Long-sleeve tees: 305gsm, 100% cotton, with a loose drop-shoulder fit.
- Sweatshirts: 400gsm cotton crewnecks in a regular fit.
- Hoodies: 430gsm, 56% cotton and 44% polyester, with an oversized drop-shoulder fit, in four colourways per design.
These are cotton garments, not technical performance wear. They don't offer moisture-wicking, stretch technology or weather protection. What they offer is fabric weight and a relaxed streetwear shape, with the graphics doing the talking.
Big Wedge Golf
- Polos: the Arch Check and Cross Check polos carry check patterns and a front screen print, and the Pique Polo has contrast panelling. All are 150gsm.
- Tees: 250gsm, 100% cotton, relaxed fit, with front and back screen prints on the Script, Heritage and Golf Co. designs.
- Hoodies and sweatshirts: 400gsm in a relaxed fit. The hoodies have printed designs and a kangaroo pocket; the sweatshirts carry front embroidery.
- Lightweight Jacket: 155gsm, 89% nylon and 11% spandex, with YKK zips, mesh-lined zip pockets and adjustable cord stoppers at the waistband.
- Caps: vintage and script caps with snap closures, and a 100% polyester Logo Technical Cap with raised embroidery.
Big Wedge publishes weights, fits and care details rather than performance claims, so there are no UPF, wicking or waterproof ratings. The jacket is a wind layer, not rainwear. The polos are the pieces built for the round itself.

Both brands sell in pounds from UK websites, so there's no exchange rate to worry about. Where the ranges overlap, in tees, hoodies and sweatshirts, Three Putt is cheaper on all three.
A Big Wedge tee costs £35 against £24.99–£30.99, and its hoodies cost £60–£65 against £45.99–£54.99. Sweatshirts show the widest gap: £65 at Big Wedge and £37.99–£47.99 at Three Putt, at the same 400gsm weight.
Big Wedge offers Clearpay to UK residents aged 18 and over, splitting an order into four interest-free payments. That softens the price of a polo and hoodie bought together.
Price Verdict
Three Putt wins on price where the two overlap, and free UK delivery widens the gap. Big Wedge's prices are fair for a brand with its profile, though, and only Big Wedge sells a polo, a jacket or a cap. For the top half of a golf-day outfit, a £45 polo and a £30 cap are reasonable money.
Fit and Sizing
Three Putt Golf
Each garment has one fit. Tees are relaxed and run from S to 2XL. Long-sleeve tees have an oversized drop-shoulder fit (S to XL), sweatshirts a regular fit and hoodies an oversized drop-shoulder fit (both S to 2XL). The shapes suit layering and everyday wear more than a tucked-in round.
Big Wedge Golf
Big Wedge labels its tees, hoodies and sweatshirts relaxed fit, and all three run from S to 3XL. Its polos and the Lightweight Jacket are described as true to size and stop at XXL. Expect a casual cut rather than a tour-slim one.
Caps are one size and adjustable, and socks come in UK 7–12. A size guides page gives garment measurements taken laid flat. Neither brand has a women's-specific range.
Fit Verdict
Big Wedge wins on size range for heavier layers: its hoodies and sweatshirts reach 3XL, while Three Putt's stop at 2XL. Its tees reach 3XL too, where Three Putt’s stop at 2XL. Big Wedge's polos are the only pieces here cut for playing, and Three Putt's oversized hoodie is a deliberate streetwear shape.
Style and Versatility
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt is golf streetwear. The six graphic designs nod to the game without looking like club uniform, and the tees and hoodies sit naturally with jeans or joggers. On the course they suit relaxed rounds, the range and social golf. Golfers at clubs with a collared-shirt golf dress code will need a polo from elsewhere.
Big Wedge Golf
Big Wedge's look is restrained heritage rather than loud merch: script logos, a Golf Co. wordmark and check-pattern polos in navy, green and cream colourways. That restraint is its strength.
A Big Wedge polo reads as a proper golf shirt at a members' club, not a rebranded fashion top. The hoodies, sweatshirts and caps carry the badge off the course, where the channel's audience will recognise it straight away.
Style Verdict
It's a split. Big Wedge covers more of the golf day, from a dress-code polo to a matching cap, in a style that suits the clubhouse. Three Putt wins for off-course wear and for golfers who want the design itself to be the point.

Quality, Durability and Sustainability
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt's quality story is about fabric weight: 305gsm tees, 305gsm long-sleeves, 400gsm sweatshirts and 430gsm hoodies. On sustainability, the honest answer is short. Three Putt makes no recycled-content or eco claims, and holds no sustainability certifications. Its tees are 100% cotton.
Big Wedge Golf
Big Wedge also leads with weight, and its numbers sit close to Three Putt's: 250gsm cotton tees and 400gsm hoodies and sweatshirts. The finishing is tidy, from embroidered sweatshirts and front-and-back screen prints to YKK zips on the jacket. The care instructions ask for a cold wash, inside out.
Big Wedge publishes no country of origin, no sustainability claims and no certifications such as OEKO-TEX or bluesign. It puts its effort into design and community rather than a materials story.
Quality Verdict
Close. Three Putt's hoodies are heavier, at 430gsm against 400gsm, and its tees slightly so, at 305gsm against 250gsm. Big Wedge has the finishing details and the golf-specific pieces in its polos and jacket. Neither brand makes sustainability claims, so neither wins that one.

Our Pick
Buy Big Wedge if you want to play in it: a £45–£50 polo that suits a collared-shirt dress code, a lightweight jacket for breezy days, and a cap and towel to match. It's also the natural choice if you watch the channel, and its hoodies and sweatshirts go up to 3XL. Our full Big Wedge Golf clothing review covers the range in more depth.
Buy Three Putt if you want golf style for the rest of your week: graphic tees, long-sleeve tees, sweatshirts and heavyweight hoodies, delivered free. The tees, sweatshirts and hoodies all cost less than Big Wedge's. Plenty of golfers will sensibly wear a Big Wedge polo on the course and a Three Putt hoodie off it.

Frequently Asked Questions About Three Putt vs Big Wedge Golf
Is Three Putt a good alternative to Big Wedge Golf?
For the casual half of the range, yes. Three Putt's tees, sweatshirts and hoodies cost less than Big Wedge's and ship free in the UK, and its hoodies are heavier at 430gsm. It doesn't make polos, jackets or caps, though. If you want golf-specific pieces, or the Big Wedge badge itself, Big Wedge is the better fit.
Which brand is better on the golf course?
Big Wedge. Its polos are proper golf shirts that suit a collared-shirt dress code, and the nylon-spandex Lightweight Jacket works as a wind layer. Three Putt's cotton tees and hoodies suit relaxed rounds and the range, but they aren't technical wear. Neither brand sells trousers, shorts or waterproofs, so you'll need another brand for those.
Is Big Wedge Golf clothing good quality?
The fabrics are solid for the price: 250gsm cotton tees, 400gsm hoodies and sweatshirts, and a 155gsm nylon-spandex jacket with YKK zips. The finishing includes embroidered sweatshirts and front-and-back screen prints. Big Wedge publishes no performance ratings, country of origin or sustainability claims, so judge it on weight and finish rather than technical spec.
Is Three Putt good quality?
Three Putt uses heavyweight fabrics for what it makes: 305gsm cotton tees, 305gsm long-sleeves, 400gsm cotton sweatshirts and 430gsm hoodies. They are casual cotton garments rather than performance wear. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery if something isn't right, after you've emailed support.
How do the fits differ between Big Wedge and Three Putt?
Big Wedge's tees, hoodies and sweatshirts are relaxed fit in S–3XL, and its polos and jacket are described as true to size in S–XXL. Three Putt’s relaxed tees, sweatshirts and hoodies run S–2XL and its oversized long-sleeves S–XL, with an oversized drop-shoulder hoodie. Neither brand has a women's-specific range.
Which brand is better value?
Three Putt, where the ranges overlap. Its tees are £24.99–£30.99 against Big Wedge's £35, and its hoodies £45.99–£54.99 against £60–£65, with free UK delivery. Big Wedge's value lies in the pieces Three Putt doesn't make: a £45 polo, an £80 jacket and £30 caps, with Clearpay available to UK buyers.
Which brand is easier to buy from in the UK?
Both sell in pounds from UK websites. Three Putt delivers free across the UK. Big Wedge ships by Evri or Royal Mail Tracked, with the delivery cost shown at checkout, and lets you change or cancel an order within 60 minutes. Both ask you to pay return postage: Three Putt after an email to support, Big Wedge with a printed returns form.
Are Big Wedge and Three Putt sustainable?
Neither brand makes sustainability claims, so neither should be bought on green credentials. Big Wedge publishes no certifications, recycled-content figures or country of origin on its product pages. Three Putt makes no recycled-content or eco claims either; its tees are 100% cotton and its hoodies a cotton-polyester blend.
