Cheap Golf Gifts Under £50, £25 and £10 (Plus Secret Santa Ideas)

You've drawn a golfer in the office Secret Santa.
The limit is £15, and you couldn't tell a sand wedge from a sandwich.
Or maybe you know him well, and the budget's just tight this year.
However, a small budget is the easiest one to get right in golf, because golfers use things up.
They lose balls, snap tees and wear holes in gloves, and they hate paying to replace any of it.
The best cheap golf gifts are the ones he'd otherwise have to buy himself: a dozen golf balls, a club brush, a stamp that prints his initials on every ball, a beanie for winter rounds or a set of two-for-one green fee vouchers. Whether you've got £10 ($15), £25 ($30) or £50 ($50), there's something here he'll use within a week.
Below, I've split the gifts by budget, added a Secret Santa shortlist for buyers who don't play, and finished with three rules that stop a cheap golf gift looking cheap.

The Best Golf Gifts Under £50 at a Glance
If you only have a minute, start here.
- Under £10 ($15): Lindt chocolate golf balls (£8 / $12.49), a Pride club brush (£7.95) or a Ball Buddy stamp with his initials (£9.99).
- Under £25 ($30): a dozen Srixon Distance (£16.99) or Callaway Supersoft ($26.99), five two-for-one green fee vouchers (£14) or a Titleist Tour Pom Pom beanie (£25 / $35).
- Under £50 ($50): a dozen TaylorMade Tour Response (£37.99 / $42.99), a Snell Tour Test Pack (£35.95 / $34.99), a rechargeable hand warmer or a Three Putt tee or polo (from £24.99 / $35).
- Secret Santa: nothing with a size, and nothing he'll put in a drawer.
- Skip: novelty gadgets, guessed sizes and three cheap things instead of one good one.
My top pick: a dozen golf balls. It's the one golf gift that's never wrong, because every golfer loses them. Srixon Distance is £16.99 a dozen at American Golf in the UK, and Callaway Supersoft is $26.99 in the US. If you know which ball he plays, buy that instead.

Prices are from each seller's own website, checked on October 22, 2026. Some sellers only ship to one country, so I've said where each one sells. Three Putt prices are shown in pounds and dollars, as our UK and US shops show them.
How I Picked These Cheap Golf Gifts
Cheap golf gifts pass the grass test from our other gift guides more easily than expensive ones: will it see grass, the range or the inside of his golf bag within a month of being unwrapped?
A dozen balls usually sees all three before the end of the first round.
Disclosure, as always: I founded Three Putt Golf Clothing, so our tees and polos are on this list. Nobody else paid to be here, there are no affiliate links, and our review methodology explains how we handle that conflict of interest.
Spending more, or buying for someone in particular? Our guides to the best golf gifts for men, funny golf gifts, unique golf gifts and golf gifts for dad cover the rest.
Golf Gifts Under £10 ($15)
Under a tenner is Secret Santa territory, and it's where most golf gifts go wrong.
These three won't.
Lindt Chocolate Golf Balls (£8 / $12.49)
Not every golf gift has to go in the bag.
Lindt's UK Golf Balls are a 110g box of milk chocolate golf balls filled with hazelnut praline, for £8.
In the US, Lindt's Milk Chocolate Golf Balls come three to a 4oz box, for $12.49.
Best for: the office Secret Santa where you barely know him.
A Club Brush (£7.95 / $19.99)
Clean grooves grip the ball. Muddy ones don't, and in a British winter every set of grooves is muddy.
The Pride Sports Deluxe Golf Club Brush has soft nylon bristles on one side and hard bristles on the other, and clips to his bag on a retractable cord, for £7.95 at American Golf.
In the US, the Caddy Splash water brush carries its own 4oz water reservoir, so he can scrub and rinse in one go, for $19.99.
Best for: the golfer who plays straight through the winter.
A Golf Ball Stamp With His Initials (£9.99)
Every golfer should put a mark on his ball so he can identify it.
Most do it with a Sharpie and a wobbly dot.
Ball Buddy makes a personalised stamp with the ink built in, which prints his initials, a short name or a simple logo on every ball.
It's £9.99 in plastic or £14.99 in metal, made to order and posted within the UK, and you'll need to order by Thursday 3 December for Christmas.
In the US, Made 4 Fans' Ball Tatt Signature does the same job in aluminium, with a refillable ink bottle, for $37.95.
Best for: the golfer who's argued over whose ball is whose.
Golf Gifts Under £25 ($30)
Between £10 and £25 is where a cheap golf gift starts to feel generous.
A Dozen Golf Balls He'll Actually Lose (£16.99 / $26.99)
Golf balls are the gift golfers say they don't need, then use every weekend.
In the UK, a dozen Srixon Distance is £16.99 at American Golf (RRP £20).
Srixon's US store doesn't sell the Distance, so in the US a dozen Callaway Supersoft is $26.99 direct from Callaway, with personalised text at no extra cost.
If you know which ball he plays, buy that instead.
A cheaper ball than his usual one isn't a treat. It's a downgrade.
Best for: the golfer who's on first-name terms with every pond on his course.
Five Two-for-One Green Fee Vouchers (£14)
A round on a new course beats most things in a box, and this one starts at £14.
Virgin Experience Days sells five GreenFree two-for-one golf vouchers for £14, or ten for £23.
Each voucher gets two golfers a round for one green fee at more than 1,000 courses in the UK and Ireland, and they're valid for 12 months.
Best for: the golfer who's played his own course a thousand times.
A Titleist Tour Pom Pom Beanie (£25 / $35)
Winter golf in Britain is mostly about keeping your ears attached.
Titleist's Tour Pom Pom is an acrylic-knit bobble hat with Titleist Tour logos and a turned-up cuff, in four colourways.
It's one size, £25 from Titleist UK with free shipping on headwear, and $35 from Titleist in the US.
Best for: Secret Santa, because it fits every head in the office.
A Magnetic Golf Towel (£20 / $29.99)
A magnetic towel sticks to his bag, the buggy or the head of his club, so it's always to hand when the grips get wet.
In the UK, the Axglo Magnetic Golf Towel is £20 at American Golf, in a waffle-textured fabric with a built-in magnet.
In the US, Frogger's TRAX towel, with its "Latch-it" magnetic fastening, is $29.99.
Best for: the golfer who plays in the rain and pretends he doesn't mind.
Golf Gifts Under £50 ($50)
At £50, you can buy the kind of thing he'd normally talk himself out of.
A Dozen TaylorMade Tour Response (£37.99 / $42.99)
Most golfers would love to play Pro V1s. Fewer want to pay £52 a dozen to lose them in the gorse.
TaylorMade's Tour Response is £37.99 a dozen in the UK and $42.99 in the US, direct from TaylorMade, which is about £14 / $15 less than a dozen Pro V1s.
The Tour Response Stripe, in four colours, is £39.99 / $45.99.
Best for: the golfer who wants a premium ball without the premium guilt.
A Snell Tour Test Pack (£35.95 / $34.99)
Snell's Tour Test Pack lets him try two tour-level balls without committing to a dozen of either.
It's 12 balls: six of the three-piece urethane PR3 and six of the four-piece urethane PR4, in white or yellow.
It's $34.99 from Snell in the US, and £35.95 in the UK from Snell Golf UK, its UK and Ireland distributor.
Best for: the golfer who likes to try things before everyone else does.
Half a Dozen Pro V1s With the Claret Jug (£28, UK Only)
If only a Pro V1 will do, Titleist UK sells The Open Pro V1 half dozen: six special-edition Pro V1s with the Claret Jug logo, for £28.
It's UK only, and Titleist's US store doesn't sell a half dozen, so US buyers with $50 to spend are better off with a dozen Tour Response.
Best for: the golfer who watches every round of The Open.
A Rechargeable Hand Warmer (£26.99 / $34.95)
Cold hands cost more shots in January than bad swings do.
In the UK, the Lifesystems Rechargeable Hand Warmer gives up to six hours of heat on four settings and doubles as a power bank for his phone, for £26.99.
In the US, Zippo's HeatBank 6 does much the same, with three heat settings and up to six hours of warmth, for $34.95.
Best for: the golfer who keeps his hands in his pockets between shots.

A Three Putt Golf Tee or Polo (From £24.99 / $35)
Golf clothing usually blows a £50 budget on a single polo. Ours doesn't.
The cheapest thing in our shop is the Three on the Green tee, at £24.99 ($35 in the US): a heavyweight 305gsm cotton tee with a small flag on the chest and nothing else to argue about.
Our printed tees, from Tee Time to Reckless Driving, are £30.99 ($43).
For the course, the Pin High polo is £29.99 ($41), and the retro Caddie and all-cotton Dogleg are £34.99 ($48).
Tees come in S to 2XL and polos in S to 3XL.
In the UK, £50 also stretches to a 400gsm crewneck sweatshirt, from £37.99.
Best for: the golfer who lives in his golf clothes, on the course and off it.
Secret Santa Golf Gifts (for People Who Don't Play)

Secret Santa is the hardest golf gift to buy, because you're often buying for someone you barely know, on a limit set by the office.
The good news? Golf is full of cheap gifts that get used, as long as you avoid two things: anything with a size, and anything he'll put in a drawer.
- A £10 limit: a box of Lindt chocolate golf balls (£8), or a Ball Buddy stamp with his initials (£9.99) if you can order it by 3 December.
- A £15 limit: five GreenFree two-for-one green fee vouchers (£14).
- A £20 limit: a dozen Srixon Distance (£16.99) or an Axglo magnetic towel (£20).
- A £25 limit: a Titleist Tour Pom Pom beanie (£25), which fits every head in the office.
Not sure what he likes? Ask one of his golf mates which ball he plays.
It's the most useful question in golf gifting.
Three Rules for Buying Golf Gifts on a Budget
A small budget only goes wrong in three ways.
Avoid them, and nobody will guess what you spent.
1. Buy Something He'll Use Up
Balls get lost, tees snap and gloves wear through.
Golfers replace them all season and resent every penny.
Give him a box of something he'd otherwise have bought himself, and he'll be grateful twice: once when he opens it, and again when he doesn't have to pay for it.
2. Don't Guess a Size
Gloves, shoes and clothing all come in sizes, and a cheap gift in the wrong size is just a returns slip.
Balls, tees, towels, ball stamps and beanies don't.
If you do know his size, or can sneak a look at the label in his favourite jumper, clothing works. Our best golf gifts guide explains how to get the size right.
3. One Good Thing Beats Three Cheap Ones
£20 buys a dozen proper golf balls, or a bottle opener shaped like a driver, a novelty keyring and a mug.
Buy the balls.
The gadgets will be in a drawer by Boxing Day, and the balls will be in his bag.
Final Thoughts
A cheap golf gift isn't a lesser one.
Golfers judge a present by how often they use it, not by what it cost, and a £17 dozen gets used more than most £150 gadgets.
So spend the money on something he'll lose, wear out or wear every week.
He'll think of you every time he tees one up.
Every Three Putt tee and polo costs less than £35 in the UK and less than $50 in the US, so every one of them fits this guide. Start with our golf T-shirts and golf polo shirts. UK delivery is free on every order, and US orders of $40 or more ship free.
And if your budget stretches further, our guides to the best golf gifts for men, unique golf gifts and golf gifts for dad go all the way up to the big-ticket kit.
Frequently Asked Questions About Cheap Golf Gifts
What is a good small gift for a golfer?
Something he'll use up. A dozen golf balls (Srixon Distance at £16.99 in the UK, Callaway Supersoft at $26.99 in the US), a club brush, a stamp that prints his initials on every ball or a set of two-for-one green fee vouchers all get used. Avoid novelty gadgets: golfers keep the gifts that go in the bag, not the ones that go on a shelf.
What is a good Secret Santa gift for a golfer?
Pick something with no size that he'll use. Lindt's chocolate golf balls (£8) suit a £10 limit, five GreenFree two-for-one green fee vouchers (£14) a £15 limit, a dozen Srixon Distance (£16.99) a £20 limit and Titleist's Tour Pom Pom beanie (£25) a £25 limit. If you can, ask one of his golf mates which ball he plays.
What are some good golf gifts under £10?
Lindt's chocolate golf balls (£8 in the UK, $12.49 in the US), the Pride Sports Deluxe club brush (£7.95) and a Ball Buddy stamp that prints his initials on every ball (£9.99) all come in under £10. Each one either gets eaten or goes straight in his bag, which is exactly where a cheap golf gift should end up.
How much should you spend on a golf Secret Santa gift?
Whatever the office limit says. If there isn't one, £10 to £20 is plenty: it buys a box of chocolate golf balls, a personalised ball stamp, five two-for-one green fee vouchers or a dozen Srixon Distance. Spending more doesn't make a golf gift better. Picking something he'll use does, so avoid anything that needs a size.
Are golf balls a good gift?
Yes, as long as they're the right ones. Golfers lose balls every round, so a dozen always gets used. If you know which ball he plays, buy that. If you don't, a dozen Srixon Distance (£16.99) or Callaway Supersoft ($26.99) is a safe bet, and a dozen TaylorMade Tour Response (£37.99 / $42.99) feels like a treat without the Pro V1 price.
What are the best golf gifts under $50?
In the US, a dozen TaylorMade Tour Response ($42.99), Snell's Tour Test Pack ($34.99), Titleist's Tour Pom Pom beanie ($35), a Zippo HeatBank 6 hand warmer ($34.95) or a Three Putt Pin High polo ($41) all come in under $50. Our tees start at $35, and US orders of $40 or more ship free.
