Unique Golf Gifts for the Golfer Who Has Everything
Updated on: October 22, 2026 • ~12 min read

Every family has one.
The golfer who already owns the rangefinder, the launch monitor, the electric trolley and three putters he "might go back to one day".
Buying for him feels impossible. However, even the best-stocked golfer has a gap, and it isn't more kit.
The best unique golf gifts for the golfer who has everything are the ones he can't easily buy for himself: a print of his home course, a smart putting green, tickets to a major championship, a tool or keepsake with a story behind it, or a hoodie with a course drawn across the back.
He has the gear. What he hasn't got is the thing that makes him say "where did you even find this?"
In this guide, I'll take you through the unique and unusual golf gifts that pass that test, from course art and clever kit to experiences money can barely buy, plus what not to buy a golfer who already owns it all.
About the author: Graeme Whiles is the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing and plays off 14 in West Yorkshire. He has reviewed more than 100 golf clothing brands on this journal.
In this guide:

- His course, on the wall and on his back
- Personal touches he can't buy himself
- Clever kit he doesn't know he wants

The Best Unique Golf Gifts at a Glance
Short on time? Here's the short list.
- Course art: a hand-drawn map of his home course (from £110 / $59), or a Contours or Scenic Route hoodie with a course on the back.
- Personal touches: a personalised leather golf notebook, a monogrammed scorecard holder or a framed scorecard from his best round.
- Clever kit: a PUTTR smart putting green, a Phigolf 2 home simulator or a LiquorStick drink dispenser.
- Experiences: The Open at St Andrews in 2027, the Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, a round with hickory clubs or a links day out.
- Skip: upgrades of kit he already owns, boxed gift sets and novelty clutter.
My top pick: a hand-drawn map of his home course. Nobody else can give him that, and it'll still be on his wall long after the gadgets have been replaced.

How I Picked These Unique Golf Gifts
Our other gift guides use what I call the grass test: will it see grass, the range or the inside of a golf bag within a month of being unwrapped?
For the golfer who has everything, I've bent that rule. Every gift here had to pass a different test: is it something he almost certainly doesn't own, and will he use it, look at it or talk about it every week?
I also want to be upfront. I founded Three Putt Golf Clothing, so our own Contours and Scenic Route designs appear in this guide.
Everything else is here on merit. No brand paid to be included, and there are no affiliate links. Our review methodology explains how we handle that conflict of interest.
Shopping for a golfer who doesn't have everything yet? Our guide to the best golf gifts for men covers every budget, and our funny golf gifts guide covers the jokes that actually get used.
His Course, on the Wall and on His Back
Every golfer has a course that means something: his home club, the links he played on a stag do, the one where he finally broke 80.
Course art turns that course into something he'll look at every day.
A Personalised Map of His Course (From £110 / $59)
This is the gift nobody else can give him, because it's his course.
London's The Unique Maps Co. draws a map of any golf course in the world by hand, with your own title and subtitle. An 8x10in print starts at £110 ($151 in the US), framed from £145. It sends a digital draft within two to three days, won't print until you're happy, and delivers free worldwide.
In the US, Golf Course Prints in Utah designs a custom course map from $59 for an 8x10in print, with a proof by email within two to four days.
Best for: the golfer whose home club is a second home.

Three Putt Golf Contours (From £30.99)
Contours prints the read that stays with you after the round: a topographic map of a single green across the back, every elevation ring, run-off and bunker drawn in one continuous line, with the three-putt that named us hiding in plain sight.
It comes on a 430gsm heavyweight hoodie (£54.99), a 400gsm crewneck sweatshirt (£47.99), a 305gsm cotton tee (£30.99) and a long-sleeve tee (£35.99).
Best for: the golfer who spends longer reading a putt than hitting it.
Three Putt Golf The Scenic Route (From £30.99)
Big skies, long walks, a low winter sun. The Scenic Route puts a whole course on his back: a hand-drawn vista of a golfer mid-swing, the clubhouse on the hill, pines, a cart and birds overhead, with our cow carrying a golf bag on the front.
It comes on the same four garments at the same prices as Contours, and the Scenic Route hoodie is the one for winter rounds.
Best for: the golfer who'd rather walk 18 than ride.
Personal Touches He Can't Buy Himself
A golfer who has everything rarely has anything with his own story on it.
A Personalised Leather Golf Notebook (£42.99)
Most golfers keep their best rounds in their heads. Give him somewhere better.
Treat Republic's personalised leather golf notebook, sold through Not On The High Street, is made in England from British hide leather and embossed with up to three initials. Its pages are laid out for the weather, the course, the time played and how the round went. It's £42.99 with free delivery to mainland UK.
Best for: the golfer who remembers every shot anyway.
A Monogrammed Leather Scorecard Holder ($115, US)
Brickley Golf in Oregon cuts and stitches its Players scorecard holder one at a time from full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather, with a free monogram of up to six characters, for $115.
Best for: the golfer who's never once found a pencil in his own bag.
His Own Line on a Dozen Pro V1s (£52 / $58, Plus Text)
Personalised balls are the one thing guaranteed not to be in his bag already.
Titleist's Pro V1 Custom service prints up to three lines of text on every ball, from an extra £4 / $5 a dozen. Our guide to funny golf gifts has a few ideas for what to print.
Best for: the golfer with a catchphrase his mates won't let go of.
A Framed Scorecard From a Round He'll Never Forget
The cheapest gift on this list is often the one he'll treasure most.
Find the card from his hole-in-one, his first round under 80 or his last round with his dad, and have it framed with a photo from the day. All it costs is a frame and a bit of detective work.
Best for: the golfer with a drawer full of old scorecards.
Clever Kit He Doesn't Know He Wants
He has the big-ticket kit. These are the clever, slightly unusual things he's never thought to look for.
A PUTTR Smart Putting Green (£595 / $699)
PUTTR is a smart putting green for the living room. Rolled out, it takes up 12 by 2 feet, with 27 tee positions from 3 to 11 feet.
The core features need no subscription. A premium plan (£152 / $199.99 a year) adds advanced stats, challenges and more content.
Best for: the golfer who owns a putting mat and never uses it.
A Phigolf 2 Home Simulator (£299 / $329)
Phigolf 2 turns the living room into a golf simulator with a 9.8g Bluetooth sensor, for up to four players. It works out of the box, but the 38,000-plus World Tour courses need a separate paid subscription.
The official Phigolf store ships within the US only, so UK buyers can get it from The Golf Shop Online (RRP £299).
Best for: the golfer counting down the days to spring.
A LiquorStick ($99.95)
Pins & Aces calls its LiquorStick 3.0 "the ultimate stealthy drink dispenser": a food-grade stainless steel dispenser that slots into any golf bag, holds up to 750ml and pours with a rechargeable USB-C pump. It's $99.95, and Pins & Aces ships worldwide for a flat $14.95.
Best for: the four-ball with a halfway-hut tradition.
A Designer Putting Rug ($149.99, US Only)
Oryan Golf's designer putting rugs look like a proper rug and putt like a mat: 2 by 10 feet, with the alignment lines and target built into the artwork. Every designer runner is $149.99 with free US shipping, but Oryan doesn't ship to the UK.
Best for: the golfer who wants to practise without ruining the living room.
A Heated Hand Warmer ($185, US Only)
G-Tech's Heated Hand Warmer Sport 4.0 is a rechargeable heated pouch that gives up to 12 hours of heat on its low setting. It's $185 and ships within the US only. UK winter golfers are better off with a pair of FootJoy WinterSof gloves from our best golf gifts guide.
Best for: the golfer who plays through January and tells everyone about it.
Experiences Money Can Barely Buy
The golfer who has everything doesn't need another thing. He needs a day he'll talk about for the next ten years.

Tickets to The Open at St Andrews (Packages From £1,345)
The Open returns to the Old Course at St Andrews from 11 to 18 July 2027, the 31st time the Home of Golf has hosted it.
The public ticket ballot has closed. However, The R&A's official hotel and ticket breaks are still on sale, from £1,345 per person for two nights with Wednesday and Thursday tickets, and Premium hospitality on Wednesday 14 July is £480.
Best for: the golfer who has watched every Open on TV and never been.
The Ryder Cup at Adare Manor (Hospitality From €600)
The 2027 Ryder Cup comes to Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland, with the matches from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 September. It's the competition's centenary staging.
The ticket ballot has closed, so the routes in now are Ryder Cup Travel Services' ticket-inclusive hotel packages, hospitality from €600 per person (plus VAT) on the Wednesday and Thursday, or the official resale platform that opens in early 2027.
Best for: the golfer who has watched every Ryder Cup since Seve.
A Round of Hickory Golf (Club Hire From £57)
For a golfer who has played everywhere, playing the old way is genuinely new.
At Musselburgh Links in East Lothian, which hosted The Open six times between 1874 and 1889, he can hire restored hickory clubs for £57 (book ahead) and play nine holes for £25.50 on a weekday.
At Kingarrock in Fife, which the National Trust for Scotland calls the only remaining hickory golf course in the UK, nine holes start at £85 per person with hickory clubs, balls and a scorecard included. Kingarrock closes from November to February, so make it a spring gift.
Best for: the golfer who thinks modern drivers are cheating.
A Links Day Out (From £205 for Two)
Virgin Experience Days sells a VIP links golf experience for two at Goswick in Northumberland, with hire clubs, an electric trolley and a bucket of range balls. The morning slot is £255 and the afternoon £205.
Best for: a father-and-son or best-mates day on a proper links.
Buying for your dad? Our golf gift ideas for dad have more ways to spend a day on the course together.
A GolfPass Membership ($119 / £99 a Year)
A membership that can pay for itself in tee times. In the US and Canada, GolfPass+ costs $119 a year and includes $120 of GolfNow and TeeOff tee-time credit, waived booking fees and instruction from tour pros.
The UK has its own version: GolfPass UK is £99 a year, with a tee-time credit of up to £25 every month.
Best for: the golfer who likes to play a different course every month.
What Not to Buy the Golfer Who Has Everything
A golfer who owns everything is a golfer who's been given everything. These are the gifts he's already had.
A Slightly Better Version of Kit He Already Owns
If he has a rangefinder, he doesn't need another one. A newer model of something already in his bag is an upgrade, and he'd rather choose upgrades himself.
The Boxed Golfer's Gift Set
Three balls, a pencil, a pitch-mark tool and a tin. He owns every item in it already, probably several times over.
Novelty Clutter
A golf-ball alarm clock or a desk putting set is funny on Christmas morning and in the loft by spring. If you want a joke, our guide to funny golf gifts that actually get used sticks to the ones he'll take to the course.
Final Thoughts
The golfer who has everything is easier to buy for than he looks.
Skip the kit he already owns, and buy him a story instead: his course on the wall, a ticket to a major, or something clever he'll show off to his four-ball for months.
If he'll use it, look at it or talk about it every week, and he doesn't own it yet, you've cracked it.
If his wardrobe is the gap, our Contours and Scenic Route designs put golf course art on a heavyweight hoodie, a sweatshirt or a tee. UK delivery is free on every order, and US orders of $40 or more ship free.
And for the rest of the list, our guides to the best golf gifts for men, funny golf gifts, golf gifts for dad and cheap golf gifts cover every budget and sense of humour.
Frequently Asked Questions About Unique Golf Gifts
What do you buy a golfer who has everything?
Buy him something he can't easily buy himself. A hand-drawn map of his home course, a framed scorecard from his best round, tickets to The Open or the Ryder Cup, or a round with hickory clubs all qualify, because he won't already own them. If it has to be kit, choose something clever he wouldn't think of, like a PUTTR smart putting green.
What are some unique and fun golf gifts?
The best unique golf gifts mix a story with something he'll use: a personalised course map, a dozen Pro V1s printed with his own catchphrase, a LiquorStick drink dispenser for the bag, or a Phigolf 2 simulator for winter evenings. For gifts that are funny first, our guide to funny golf gifts covers the ones that actually get used.
What are some unique luxury golf gifts?
At the top end, The R&A's hotel and ticket breaks for The Open at St Andrews in July 2027 start at £1,345 per person, and Ryder Cup 2027 hospitality at Adare Manor starts at €600 plus VAT. Below that, a framed, hand-drawn course map from The Unique Maps Co. or a PUTTR smart putting green (£595 / $699) both feel properly special.
What are some unusual golf gifts in the UK?
UK golfers can play hickory golf at Musselburgh Links or Kingarrock in Fife, have their home course drawn by The Unique Maps Co. in London, or get a personalised leather golf notebook made in England. A VIP links day at Goswick in Northumberland, from £205 for two, makes a good shared experience. All of them are easy to buy from the UK.
What makes a golf gift unique?
A unique golf gift is personal, hard to find or attached to an experience. If he could have bought it in the pro shop on a whim, it isn't unique. If it carries his course, his story or a memory he'll talk about for years, it is. It should still earn its keep: something he'll use, look at or talk about every week.
What is a good gift for a man who plays golf?
If he doesn't have everything yet, start with the things he uses up or never buys himself: a dozen premium balls, a glove, a lesson with a PGA professional, or a GPS watch or rangefinder. Our guide to the best golf gifts for men covers every budget, from stocking fillers under £30 to launch monitors.
