Honest Greg Norman Golf Clothing Review 2026 | Three Putt Golf

Updated on: October 28, 2026 • ~13 min read

Author: Graeme

We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

Every golf club has a member who has worn the shark logo for thirty years. The polo has faded, the collar gave up long ago, and they'll still tell you it's the best golf shirt they own.

That loyalty makes Greg Norman shirts easy to file under nineties dad golf.

However, the brand is very much alive in 2026, with more than 300 products on its US shop, a best-selling polo reviewed by over 2,200 buyers and golf trousers in ten waist sizes.

The catch for British golfers? The brand won't sell to you directly.

Here, I'll take you through who actually makes Greg Norman clothing now, what it costs in pounds and dollars, how it fits, and where a UK golfer can buy it.

How We Review Golf Clothing Brands

Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.

Verdict: 7.2/10

Greg Norman Collection is a mid-priced American golf brand built on the shark logo, easy-care polyester polos and stretch golf trousers. We liked the value, a size run that goes to 4XL in polos, and the ML75 Microlux trousers, which come in ten waist sizes and three leg lengths.

Buyers rate it, too: the Classic Pique Shark Polo averages 4.7 out of 5 from 2,227 reviews on the brand's own site.

Where it falls short for UK golfers: the official shop only ships within the US, its US rain jacket isn't sold as waterproof, and we couldn't find a tour player wearing it in 2026.

This brand is best for golfers who want a dependable polo and stretch trousers for well under tour-brand money, bought from a UK shop.

Key Features

  • Signature tech/fabric: Play Dry, the brand's own sweat-wicking system, and ML75, its premium technical fabric for polos, trousers and shorts
  • Design language: Classic American golf shapes with the four-colour shark on the chest, plus bolder prints, a beachwear range and Americana tees
  • Fit profile: Polos from S to 4XL, women's polos from XS to XXXL, and men's golf trousers from a 30 to a 44-inch waist
  • Range depth: Polos make up around four in ten of its US products, alongside trousers, shorts, skorts, quarter-zips, jackets, caps, gloves and sun sleeves

Pros

  • A proven polo: The Classic Pique Shark Polo averages 4.7/5 from 2,227 reviews on the brand's site
  • Sizes for most builds: Polos to 4XL, trousers in waists from 30 to 44 inches, and 10-inch shorts up to a 50-inch waist
  • Cheap in Britain: American Golf sells the Shark Logo polo for £24.99 and the ML75 Microlux trousers for £39.99
  • Low fuss: Polyester-led fabrics, plus UPF 50+ and a Scotchgard stain-repelling finish on the ML75 trousers

Cons

  • No UK delivery: The official shop ships to the United States only
  • Golf is a slice of it: Only about one in five of its US products sits in the Golf Shop section
  • No waterproof rating: The rain jacket on its US shop is described as water-resistant and wind-resistant, not waterproof
  • Quiet on sourcing: We found no country of origin, certifications or recycled percentages on its product pages

Greg Norman Pricing

Greg Norman sits in the middle of the market. Its US men's polos cost $49.50 to $89.50, and most of the golf trousers are $69.50.

The entry polo costs less than half the $115 Peter Millar asks for its Soul Performance Mesh polo.

British golfers can pay even less. American Golf sells the Shark Logo polo for £24.99, which is cheaper than the US list price of the brand's own Classic Pique polo once you convert it (about £37).

The table converts US list prices at about $1.33 to £1, from the European Central Bank's reference rates on 27 October 2026.

Category Entry Typical Premium
Polos £37 £45 to £52 £67
Tees £22 £30 £34
Midlayers £60 £67 £86
Trousers/Shorts £44 £45 to £52 £75
Outerwear £67 £74 £96
Caps £22 £26 £37

US prices on gregnormancollection.com, October 2026: Classic Pique Shark Polo and Freedom Micro Pique Stretch Polo $49.50, Tour Shark Freedom Pique Polo $59.50, ML75 Hidden Shark Polo and Ventilated Solid Polo $69.50, Soft Cotton Shark Tee $29.50, ML75 Microlux Stretch Pant and 5-Pocket Tech Pant $69.50, ML75 Microlux shorts $59.50, Coastal Tech Quarter Zip $79.50, Northwind Quilted Quarter Zip $99.50, Shark Windbreaker $89.50, Full-Zip Rain Jacket $98.50, Coastal Puffer Jacket $109.50 and caps from $29.50.

UK prices at American Golf, October 2026: Shark Logo polo £24.99, ML75 Microlux Stretch golf trousers £39.99, ML75 Microlux Stretch golf shorts £34.99 and the Captains Quarter Zip £44.99.

Comparison:

  • Greg Norman vs Three Putt: Both get a golf polo to you for under £35 in the UK, just in different ways. Greg Norman comes through a retailer, in performance polyester with the shark on the chest. Three Putt is a UK brand selling direct, with golf polos from £29.99 ($41), tees from £24.99, hoodies from £45.99, free UK delivery and free US delivery over $40.
  • Greg Norman vs Dunning: Same owner, different shelf. Tharanco Lifestyles runs both, and Dunning is the premium sibling, with performance polos at $88 to $108 against Greg Norman's $49.50 to $89.50. Dunning suits golfers who want a quieter, dearer polo; Greg Norman wins on value.
  • Greg Norman vs FootJoy: FootJoy's ProDry Lisle is the top pick in our best golf polos guide, at £62.50 ($80). Greg Norman's Shark Logo polo is £24.99 at American Golf, so you could buy two and still have change. FootJoy is easier to buy in Britain, with its own UK site.
  • Greg Norman vs Stromberg: These two share the rails at American Golf, where Stromberg is the in-house brand. Stromberg's polos list at £34.99, and Greg Norman's Shark Logo polo is £24.99. Stromberg makes proper waterproofs for British weather, while the rain jacket on Greg Norman's US shop is only described as water-resistant.

Promos/Outlet Notes:

The US shop runs a Shark Rewards loyalty scheme, and its digital gift certificates last five years. There's also a string of Greg Norman outlet stores, nearly half of them in Florida, though online orders can't be returned to them.

Corporate orders with your own logo go through Vantage Apparel, which the shop links to for corporate sales.

Verdict: 8.0/10

Fair money in the US and genuinely cheap in the UK, as long as you buy from a British retailer.

Greg Norman Fit & Sizing (Usability)

Greg Norman keeps sizing simple, and the range is wide.

Its fit page says polos run from S to XXL, with some styles in XXXL, but the shop sells its best-sellers up to 4XL.

If you're between sizes, the brand's advice is to size up. There's also an AI size tool alongside the usual men's and women's charts.

Notes:

  • Polos: The Classic Pique Shark Polo and the Tour Shark polo run S to 4XL, while the ML75 Hidden Shark Polo stops at XXXL.
  • Trousers: The ML75 Microlux Stretch Pant comes in waists from 30 to 44 inches, including 33 and 35, with a 30, 32 or 34-inch leg. American Golf's UK version runs from a 30 to a 42-inch waist in short, regular and long.
  • Shorts: The ML75 Microlux shorts come in 8-inch and 10-inch lengths, and the 10-inch version runs to a 50-inch waist.
  • Tees: The Soft Cotton Shark Tee has a classic fit.
  • Outerwear: The jackets we checked run S to XXXL.

Accessibility/Range:

  • Extended sizes: A dedicated Extended Sizes collection sits in the men's menu.
  • Women's: Polos from XS to XXXL, and the Maya Pant in US sizes 0 to 16.

Verdict: 8.2/10

A wide size run for the money, and a real plus for bigger golfers.

Greg Norman Core Product Categories

Polos

Polos are the brand, and the range is huge. The best-seller is the Classic Pique Shark Polo ($49.50): 100% microfibre polyester with a fine piqué texture, an aerated knit collar and Play Dry built in.

The Freedom Micro Pique Stretch Polo costs the same and adds stretch, with the brand promising freedom from static, odour and weight.

At $69.50, the ML75 polos step up the fabric, and the Ventilated Solid Polo uses tiny perforations to let air through on hot days.

My favourite detail is the Tour Shark Freedom Pique Polo ($59.50), which the brand says only PGA professionals could wear until it went on sale online.

In the UK, American Golf's Shark Logo polo (£24.99) is 91% polyester and 9% elastane, with anti-odour and anti-static properties.

Verdict: 7.8/10

Trousers & Shorts

This is where Greg Norman quietly earns its place.

The ML75 Microlux Stretch Pant ($69.50) is the brand's best-selling golf trouser, with a flat front, a stretch shirt-gripper waistband and a 3M Scotchgard finish that helps it shrug off stains.

The UK version at American Golf (£39.99) is 90% polyester and 10% elastane, with UPF 50+ sun protection.

The ML75 shorts ($59.50) share the stain-release finish, and the 5-Pocket Tech Pant ($69.50) is the four-way stretch option if you'd rather look less golfy.

Verdict: 7.8/10

Midlayers (quarter-zips/crewnecks)

The midlayers are solid rather than special.

The Coastal Tech Quarter Zip ($79.50) is a mid-weight stretch layer that wicks sweat, the Cozy Shark Quarter Zip ($79.50) is the ultra-soft one, and the quilted Northwind ($99.50) is the dearest quarter-zip.

The Classic Shark Crewneck ($79.50) adds UPF 50, and in the UK, American Golf sells the Captains Quarter Zip for £44.99.

Verdict: 7.2/10

Outerwear & Rain Gear

Read the labels before you rely on it in a British downpour. The Full-Zip Rain Jacket ($98.50) is described as water-resistant and wind-resistant, not waterproof.

The Shark Windbreaker ($89.50) is a packable wind layer that folds into its own pocket, and the Coastal Puffer Jacket ($109.50) is for cold, dry days.

For a layer that will survive a proper storm, look at our guide to the best waterproof golf clothing.

Verdict: 5.8/10

Tees, Caps & Accessories

The Soft Cotton Shark Tee ($29.50) is 100% combed cotton in a classic fit, and most of the other tees cost $39.50.

Performance caps are $35, the cotton twill Signature Shark Cap is $29.50, and there are sun sleeves ($27.50), golf gloves and a straw hat for the sunniest rounds.

Verdict: 7.0/10

Greg Norman Materials & Tech (Construction, Sustainability)

Greg Norman's technology is easy to explain, which I like.

Play Dry is its own sweat-management system (it pulls moisture away from your skin), used across the golf range.

ML75 is the premium fabric, which the brand calls "the most comfortable technical fabric in golf", and it turns up in more than 100 of its US products.

Where the clothes are made is a different story.

Backend (manufacturing & standards):

  • Who runs it: Tharanco Lifestyles LLC, a New York holding company, runs Greg Norman Collection as its own division, with its own design, sourcing, sales and distribution.
  • Who owns the name: ABG-Shark, the joint venture Authentic Brands Group formed with Greg Norman in 2017, holds the shark rights.
  • Origin: We found no country of origin on the US product pages we checked.
  • Recycled content: A few ML75 polos use recycled fibres, and American Golf says the Shark Logo polo uses "natural, repurposed and recycled materials", but neither gives a percentage.

Application (on-garment features):

  • Classic Pique Shark Polo: 100% microfibre polyester with Play Dry and an aerated knit collar.
  • Shark Logo polo (UK): 91% polyester and 9% elastane, treated to be anti-microbial and anti-static.
  • ML75 Microlux trousers: 90% polyester and 10% elastane, with UPF 50+ and a Scotchgard finish.
  • ML75 shorts: Stain release, plus Play Dry pocket linings.

Verdict: 6.8/10

Sensible, easy-care golf fabrics, with very little said about where or how they're made.

Greg Norman Customer Support

If you live in the US, Greg Norman is easy to deal with. From the UK, the brand's own shop simply isn't an option.

Channels & Hours

  • Contact: Email (customerservice@gncollection.com) and a US phone line, (844) 350-1717, with no opening hours on the pages we checked.
  • Help centre: An online help centre answers shipping and returns questions.
  • Stores: Outlet stores across the US, nearly half of them in Florida.

Policies

  • US returns: 45 days from the shipping date, for unworn and unwashed items with the tags on, using a prepaid UPS label. The original shipping charge isn't refunded.
  • Exchanges: Shipped free of charge.
  • International: The shop ships to the US only, and its help centre points overseas customers to parcel-forwarding services.

Self-Serve

  • US delivery: Orders ship by UPS from New Jersey after two business days, with free ground shipping on orders of $99 or more (lower during seasonal offers).
  • UK route: American Golf stocks around 150 Greg Norman lines with free delivery over £100, and Eureka Golf offers free express UK delivery over £40 with "no quibble" returns on tagged items.
  • Import rules: If you use a forwarder, VAT applies, and customs duty can be due on goods worth more than £135 under UK rules on goods from abroad.

Verdict: 6.2/10

Clear US policies and free exchanges. For a UK golfer, though, the support that matters is the retailer's, not the brand's.

What Are Greg Norman's Review Ratings from Review Sites?

(As of October 2026)

  • Trustpilot: 4.0 from 987 reviews of the brand's US shop.
  • On-site: The Classic Pique Shark Polo averages 4.7/5 from 2,227 reviews.
  • Amazon: The brand runs an official Greg Norman Store on Amazon US, where the Freedom Micro Pique polo rates 4.6 out of 5.
  • Editorial: We couldn't find a recent review in the UK golf press. The last Greg Norman Collection polo review we found in Golf Monthly dates from 2008.
  • Credibility Signals: Norman himself won the Open in 1986 and 1993 and spent 331 weeks as world number one, but we couldn't find a tour player wearing the clothing in 2026.

Synthesis:

Thousands of owners rate the polos highly, which tells you more than the silence from the golf press does. The weak spots are everything around the clothes: no UK shipping, no tour presence and little on sourcing.

Is Greg Norman a Good Golf Brand?

Yes, if you judge it on what it actually is.

Greg Norman is a good mid-priced golf brand, with reliable polyester polos, stretch trousers in ten waist sizes, and UK prices from £24.99 at American Golf.

It isn't a fashion label, a tour brand or a waterproof specialist, and it doesn't pretend to be.

For British golfers, the smart move is to skip the US shop and buy it from American Golf or Eureka Golf.

If you'd rather buy from a UK brand that sells direct, Three Putt's golf polos start at £29.99, with heavyweight hoodies for the walk to the first tee and free UK delivery on every order.

For more US labels and how they treat UK buyers, see our guide to American golf brands.

Frequently Asked Questions About Greg Norman

Who owns Greg Norman clothing?

Greg Norman Collection is run by Tharanco Lifestyles LLC, a New York company that bought the business from MacGregor Golf in 2009 and also owns Dunning Golf. The shark name and logo rights sit with ABG-Shark, Authentic Brands Group's joint venture with Norman. Reebok started the clothing line in 1992. Norman himself doesn't run it, and his spell as LIV Golf's chief executive ended in January 2025.

Is Greg Norman a premium golf brand?

Not really. It's a mid-priced brand: US men's polos cost $49.50 to $89.50 and most golf trousers $69.50, well below premium names such as Peter Millar, whose Soul Performance Mesh polo is $115. In the UK it's cheaper still, with the Shark Logo polo at £24.99 from American Golf. ML75 is its more upmarket fabric line.

Can I buy Greg Norman clothing in the UK?

Yes, but not from the brand. Its official shop ships to the United States only. American Golf sells around 150 Greg Norman products in pounds, with free delivery over £100, and Eureka Golf stocks a smaller range with free express delivery over £40. GolfOnline lists the odd piece too. Buying from a UK retailer also means UK consumer rules cover your return.

How much does a Greg Norman polo cost?

In the US, the best-selling Classic Pique Shark Polo costs $49.50 (about £37), the Tour Shark polo $59.50 and the ML75 polos $69.50, with the dearest at $89.50. In the UK, American Golf sells the Shark Logo polo for £24.99 and some other designs, such as the Aloha Hour Drinks polo, for £34.99. The women's Classic Pique polo is also $49.50.

How does Greg Norman sizing run?

The range is wide. Polos such as the Classic Pique Shark Polo run from S to 4XL, and the brand says to size up if you're between sizes. Men's ML75 golf trousers come in waists from 30 to 44 inches with a 30, 32 or 34-inch leg, and the 10-inch shorts go up to a 50-inch waist. Women's polos run XS to XXXL.

What is Greg Norman ML75 fabric?

ML75 is Greg Norman's premium technical fabric, used in more than 100 of its US products, from polos to trousers and shorts. The brand calls it "the most comfortable technical fabric in golf". The ML75 Microlux golf trousers sold in the UK are 90% polyester and 10% elastane, with UPF 50+ sun protection and a Scotchgard finish that resists stains.

Does Greg Norman make waterproof golf clothing?

Not on its US shop. The Full-Zip Rain Jacket ($98.50) is described as water-resistant and wind-resistant, and the Shark Windbreaker ($89.50) is a packable wind layer, with no waterproof ratings given. UK retailers have stocked Greg Norman rain jackets too, so check the rating on the listing. For a wet winter round, a rain-gear specialist is the safer bet.

Do any tour players wear Greg Norman?

We couldn't find a tour player wearing Greg Norman clothing in 2026, and the brand's site doesn't name one. Its Tour Shark polo was reserved for PGA professionals until it went on general sale online. The tour link today is Norman himself: two Open titles, in 1986 and 1993, and 331 weeks as world number one.

Where does the Greg Norman shark logo come from?

From Norman's nickname, the Great White Shark. His company created the logo in 1991, a year before Reebok launched the clothing line, and it's still the four-colour shark on the chest of the best-selling Classic Pique polo. Today the shark rights are held by ABG-Shark, the joint venture between Norman and Authentic Brands Group.
