Honest Foray Golf Clothing Review 2026 | Three Putt Golf

Author: Graeme

We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

Golf's khaki problem, solved by a former Victoria's Secret executive with a serious print habit.

How We Review Golf Clothing Brands

Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.

Verdict: 7.5/10

Foray Golf is a New York women's golf label founded in 2016 by former Victoria's Secret executive Megan LaMothe, designing fashion-led polos, skirts and dresses in limited runs. We liked the Italian jersey Core pieces that verified buyers rate 4.9/5, shorts included with every skirt and dress, and GBP prices on the site.

It's still a small, women-owned company: your email may be answered by the founder or a designer. September's Fall-Winter 2026 drop added a water-resistant anorak and a linen-blend padded vest.

Where it falls short for UK golfers: polos cost £76–£124 before FedEx delivery and any import charges, and we couldn't find a UK stockist. There are no exchanges, UK returns go back to South Carolina at your cost, and anything more than 40% off is final sale.

This brand is best for women golfers who want clothes with genuine fashion credentials, know their size, and don't mind buying from America without a safety net.

Key Features

  • Signature tech/fabric: 4-way stretch Italian jersey, an Italian stretch rib made up in Portugal, and UPF 50+ on most performance fabrics
  • Design language: Runway-led prints, knits and textures in fashion runs of 25 to 250 pieces, alongside an evergreen Core line
  • Fit profile: True to size by the brand's own account, US sizing from XXS to XXL on many styles, and regular or tall skirt lengths
  • Range depth: Polos, sun shirts, skirts, skorts, trousers, dresses, knitwear, layers and jackets, plus hats, gloves and bags; one men's polo and no waterproofs

Pros

  • Genuinely fashion-grade design from a founder who spent five years at Victoria's Secret
  • Every skirt and dress comes with shorts at no extra charge, and every skirt has pockets
  • Core pieces score 4.9/5 from verified buyers, led by the Core Sleeveless Polo (40 reviews)
  • GBP prices for UK visitors, and orders ship within two business days

Cons

  • Premium prices: £76–£124 polos and £97–£131 skirts before delivery and import charges
  • No exchanges, and UK returns are posted to South Carolina at your cost with duties non-refundable
  • Around 200 listings are more than 40% off, which makes them final sale
  • No UK stockist, no waterproofs, and the men's range is a single polo

Foray Golf Pricing

Foray prices like contemporary womenswear. UK visitors see pounds, converted from dollars at about $1.30 and rounded up: £76–£124 for polos, £97–£131 for most skirts and up to £193 for a dress. UK delivery goes by FedEx at a rate calculated at checkout, and Foray's policy leaves import duties and taxes with the buyer.

Category Entry Typical Premium
Polos/Tops £70 £93–£112 £124
Skirts/Skorts/Trousers £53 £97–£131 £154
Dresses £101 £101–£139 £193
Layers/Outerwear £77 £124–£154 £181
Hats/Gloves/Bags £20 £22–£27 £77

Full prices shown to UK visitors in October 2026, before delivery and import charges: SPF Sun Shirt £70, Core Sleeveless Polo £76, Core SS Polo £93, Rib V-Neck LS Polo £104, Rib SL Zip Polo £108–£112, SS Knit Polo £124, Golf Tech Shorts £53, Essential Skort £70, Flare Skirt £97, Core Crinkle Pleat Skirt £101, Core Skirt £116, fashion skirts £124–£131, Core Performance Pant £116, Pull-On Ankle Pant £154, Built-In Bodysuit Dress £101, Core Dress £139, Seersucker Dress £193, Core Half Zip £77, cable knits and cardigans £124–£135, Insulated Hybrid Jacket £151, Core Bomber £154, Double Layer Anorak £170, Seersucker Jacket £181, hat £20, visor £22, gloves £27, belt bag £47, Sport Duffel £77, True Linkswear knit golf shoe £135.

Comparison:

  • Foray Golf vs Three Putt: Different jobs in the same golf bag. Foray dresses women for the round in £76–£124 polos and skirts with shorts built in, shipped from the US. Three Putt is a UK brand with tees from £23.99, heavyweight hoodies £45.99–£54.99 and free UK delivery. Foray for the course, Three Putt for the clubhouse.
  • Foray Golf vs G/FORE: America's two fashion-first golf labels with serious women's ranges. G/FORE is easy to buy here through UK retailers such as Function18 and TRENDYGOLF; Foray isn't, so every order is an import. Foray goes further on skirts, its biggest category.
  • Foray Golf vs lululemon: Similar money for a polo (£76 for Foray's Core Sleeveless, £78 for lululemon's), very different after-sales. lululemon sells in pounds from UK stores with free 30-day returns. Foray returns mean a parcel to South Carolina at your own cost.
  • Foray Golf vs Bogner: Two fashion houses treating golf as a design brief. Bogner brings German "athluxury" heritage from 1932; Foray brings New York prints in runs of 25 to 250 pieces. Both charge premium money.

Promos/Outlet Notes: Markdowns are everywhere: 223 of 374 listings carry a reduced price, mostly older prints, and around 200 of them are more than 40% off. Anything discounted by more than 40% is final sale, with no returns or exchanges. Foray also runs an annual summer sale (7–14 July in 2026) and Foray Rewards at 5 points per $1 spent (500 points buys $5 off). Students, teachers and pros get 20% off through Friends of Foray.

Verdict: 6.6/10

You pay contemporary-fashion prices, and UK buyers add FedEx delivery and import charges on top. The archive markdowns are deep, but they're final sale, which is a gamble from across the Atlantic.

Foray Golf Fit & Sizing (Usability)

Foray says most pieces fit true to size: size up between sizes for a relaxed fit, or down for a tailored one. Its size chart gives body measurements in inches or centimetres, and product pages state the model's height and size.

Notes:

  • Polos/Tops: The Core Sleeveless Polo is shown on a 5'7" model with a 34B bust wearing a Small, and one buyer says it "fits true to size".
  • Skirts/Skorts: Most skirts sit 2" below the natural waist, and many come in a regular 15.5" or tall 17" length. The Core Skirt uses silicone grippers and a gusset so the shorts stay put.
  • Trousers: The Core Performance Pant comes in US sizes 0–14 rather than letters. A US size number is usually four below the UK one (a US 6 is roughly a UK 10).
  • Dresses: The Built-In Bodysuit Dress has a sculpting bodysuit with a hidden shaping layer; the 5'8" model wears a Small.
  • Heat/Humidity: Most performance fabrics carry UPF 50+, and the sun shirts add mesh underarm panels for ventilation.
  • Size Charts: A body-measurement chart from XXS (US 00) to XL (US 14), a waist-based size finder and a glove chart. Foray will also advise by email.

Accessibility/Range:

  • Core styles run XXS–XXL, but most new Fall-Winter 2026 pieces stop at XL, and nothing goes beyond XXL.
  • The men's offer is one Core Men's Polo in XS–XXL, and Foray suggests sizing down if between sizes.

Verdict: 7.9/10

Better fit tools than most boutiques, and the tall skirt length is a genuine plus. With no exchanges and costly UK returns, though, a wrong size is expensive, so measure first.

Foray Golf Core Product Categories

Polos & Tops

The Core Sleeveless Polo (£76) is the anchor: Italian jersey, a bonded button placket, UPF 50 and 4.9/5 from 40 verified buyers. Around it sit rib zip polos (£108–£112, the newest made in Portugal), long-sleeve polos (£104–£116), new seersucker and pointelle knit polos (£116–£124) and SPF sun shirts from £70.

Verdict: 8.2/10

Skirts, Skorts & Trousers

Foray's biggest category, and its best. Every skirt has pockets and comes with shorts, and the Core Skirt (£116) scores 4.9/5 from 36 reviews. The Essential Skort (£70) is lightweight rip-stop nylon, and trousers run £116–£154, with the Core Performance Pant on 5.0/5 from 15. The leggings survive only as final-sale clearance.

Verdict: 8.5/10

Dresses

The Built-In Bodysuit Dress (£101) is the signature piece, now updated with a polo collar and a softly flared silhouette. The Core Dress is £139 and the seersucker dress £193. Fashion prints are made in small runs and aren't restocked, so a favourite can vanish quickly.

Verdict: 8.0/10

Layers & Outerwear

Strong on knits and stretch layers: the Core Half Zip (£77), scuba neoprene Core Bomber (£154), cable knits and cardigans (£124–£135) and the Insulated Hybrid Jacket (£151). The new Double Layer Anorak (£170) pairs a water-resistant shell with a removable hooded vest. There's no waterproof, which matters in a British winter.

Verdict: 7.4/10

Accessories & the Men's Polo

Hats (£20), visors (£22), gloves (£27), belt bags (£47) and a sport duffel (£77) are fairly priced next to the clothing. A True Linkswear knit golf shoe (£135) is a limited collaboration with few sizes left. The men's line is one Core Men's Polo (£74, some colours £51), first made for business customers.

Verdict: 6.8/10

Foray Golf Materials & Tech (Construction, Sustainability)

Foray builds fashion on a proper performance base: Italian jersey and rib, sun protection and careful construction details. It's open about where things are made, but says nothing about sustainability.

Backend (manufacturing & standards):

  • Made by partner factories in Italy, Sri Lanka, Portugal, Korea, China and the United States, according to Foray's FAQ.
  • Many fabrics come from mills in Portugal, Italy and Asia; the Rib SL Zip Polo is made in Portugal from Italian stretch rib.
  • Core pieces are evergreen and restocked; fashion pieces are limited to 25–250 units worldwide and never return.
  • The "sourcing" page is ForayMade, a private-label and custom-product service for clubs and companies, not a supply-chain disclosure.
  • No sustainability claims or certifications are published.

Application (on-garment features):

  • Core polos: wrinkle-resistant 4-way stretch Italian jersey, high-low shirttail hem, bonded placket and a laser-cut logo, with UPF 50.
  • Skirts: the Core Skirt has "Sneaky Pocket" shorts for balls, tees and a phone, plus silicone grippers; the Crinkle Pleat version stays put without gripper elastic.
  • Dresses: dual layers of 4-way stretch with a hidden shaping layer and a zipped back pocket.
  • Outerwear: water-resistant anorak shell, feather-free padding in the 8% linen technical vest, scuba neoprene bombers.

Verdict: 8.0/10

Real fabric quality and thoughtful construction, with more openness about origin than most boutique labels. No sustainability story at all keeps it from scoring higher.

Foray Golf Customer Support

Support is personal and well documented, but the policies are written for American customers, and international buyers carry the cost when something goes back.

Channels & Hours

  • Email contact@foraygolf.com, staffed Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm Eastern, with replies promised within 24–48 hours.
  • No phone line or live chat is published; drops and offers run through email and Instagram (@foraygolfusa).

Policies

  • 30 days from delivery to return unworn items with tags, and you must ship within seven days of requesting the return.
  • No exchanges: you place a new order and return the original for a refund.
  • UK returns need an emailed RMA number, then you post them at your own cost to Ladson, South Carolina. Shipping, duties and taxes aren't refunded.
  • Items more than 40% off are final sale. Faulty, damaged or wrong items are covered within 14 days, even on final sale, with reasonable international return postage reimbursed.

Self-Serve

  • Orders are guaranteed to ship within two business days; FedEx then takes 5–10 business days to reach international addresses.
  • A returns portal for US orders, a Loyalty Hub for Foray Rewards points, and digital gift cards from $50 to $500.

Verdict: 6.5/10

Friendly, founder-led service and a generous faults policy are real positives. For UK buyers, though, no exchanges, self-funded returns to South Carolina and non-refundable duties make every order a commitment.

What Are Foray Golf's Review Ratings from Review Sites?

(As of October 2026)

  • Trustpilot: Unrated: the foraygolf.com profile is unclaimed and has no reviews, so there's no independent service score.
  • On-site (verified buyers): The Core Sleeveless Polo holds 4.9/5 from 40 reviews, the Core Skirt 4.9/5 from 36 and the Core Performance Pant 5.0/5 from 15. Volume is modest outside these Core pieces.
  • Media and Reach: Golf Digest profiled LaMothe's aim to be "respectfully disruptive", Golf.com and PGA.com have covered her story, and CNN's The Lead and CNBC interviewed her on tariffs in 2025. Instagram (@foraygolfusa) has around 14,000 followers.
  • Retail Footprint: Foray says it's carried by many US clubs and resorts, and TRENDYGOLF's US store lists it. We couldn't find a UK stockist: American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf, GolfOnline and TRENDYGOLF UK don't list it.

Synthesis:

The people who buy Foray clearly love it, and golf's mainstream media treat it as a serious women's label. What's missing is volume: no Trustpilot history, a modest Instagram following and no UK retail presence.

Is Foray Golf a Good Golf Brand?

Yes, for the right golfer. Foray makes some of the most design-led women's golf clothing around, with Italian fabrics, shorts and pockets in every skirt, and Core pieces that buyers rate 4.9/5. The catch for UK buyers is everything after checkout: FedEx delivery, import charges, no exchanges, self-funded returns to South Carolina and final-sale markdowns. If you want golf-culture clothing from a UK brand with free UK delivery, Three Putt's golf tees and heavyweight hoodies skip the import hassle. For more US labels, see our guide to American golf brands.

Frequently Asked Questions About Foray Golf

Who owns Foray Golf?

Founder and CEO Megan LaMothe. She worked in fashion from her twenties, including five years at Victoria's Secret, and started Foray in New York in 2016. It describes itself as a small, independent, women-owned company. The name comes from her daughter, Rae, and its Instagram bio reads "Founded, Designed & Run by Women".

Where is Foray Golf clothing made?

Foray uses partner factories in Italy, Sri Lanka, Portugal, Korea, China and the United States, with fabrics from mills in Portugal, Italy and Asia. Its Core polos and skirts use 4-way stretch Italian jersey, and the Rib SL Zip Polo is made in Portugal from Italian stretch rib.

Does Foray Golf ship to the UK?

Yes. UK visitors see prices in pounds, orders ship within two business days, and FedEx takes 5–10 business days to deliver internationally. Delivery is priced at checkout. Foray's policy says it isn't responsible for import duties or taxes, so budget for charges on arrival. US free delivery over $250 doesn't apply to UK orders.

How does Foray Golf sizing run?

True to size, according to Foray: size up between sizes for a relaxed fit, or down for a tailored one. Sizing is American, from XXS (US 00) to XL (US 14) on the chart, with XXL on many Core styles. The Core Performance Pant comes in US 0–14, and many skirts offer regular or tall lengths.

What is Foray Golf's return policy for UK customers?

You have 30 days from delivery to return unworn items with tags. UK customers email for an RMA number, then post the parcel at their own cost to South Carolina within seven days. Shipping, duties and taxes aren't refunded, there are no exchanges, and anything more than 40% off is final sale.

Is Foray Golf good quality?

The evidence is good. Verified buyers rate the Core Sleeveless Polo and Core Skirt 4.9/5 from 40 and 36 reviews. The fabrics are mostly Italian jersey and rib with UPF 50+ protection, and the construction details are thoughtful. There's no independent review base, as the Trustpilot profile is empty.

Does Foray make men's golf clothing?

Barely. The only men's product is the Core Men's Polo, at £74 (£51 in some colours), in XS–XXL. It uses the same 4-way stretch Italian jersey as the women's Core polos, with UPF 50. It was originally made for business customers, and Foray suggests men size down if they're between sizes.

Do Foray golf skirts have shorts and pockets?

Yes. Every Foray skirt and dress includes performance shorts, either attached or included at no extra charge, and every skirt has pockets. On the Core Skirt, the shorts hold balls, tees and a phone. Many skirts come in a regular 15.5" or a tall 17" length.
