Honest Primo Golf Clothing Review 2026 | Three Putt Golf

Updated on: October 1, 2026 • ~11 min read

Author: Graeme

We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

Four cousins, one golf jogger, and now a Players champion in the kit. Athletic golfwear, priced in dollars.

How We Review Golf Clothing Brands

Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.

Verdict: 7.4/10

Primo Golf Apparel is a Utah-based athletic golf brand, founded in 2020 by four cousins and part-owned by YouTuber Grant Horvat since 2024. We liked the $89 golf joggers in five leg lengths, $69 polos in dozens of colourways, sizing to 3XL with Tall cuts on selected polos, and a growing women's range.

It has tour clout now, too. Phil Mickelson's HyFlyers GC named Primo its official apparel sponsor in January 2025, Players champion Si Woo Kim signed at the start of 2026, and a Si Woo Kim x Primo collection landed in August.

Where it falls short for UK golfers: there's no UK stockist, you pay in dollars, import VAT and duty are collected on delivery rather than at checkout, and returns are at your own cost. There's no waterproof in the range either.

This brand is best for gym-going golfers who want trousers that actually fit, and for anyone who already follows Grant Horvat on YouTube.

Primo not the right brand for you? Check out our comprehensive list of the best Primo Golf Apparel alternatives.

Key Features

  • Signature tech/fabric: 95/5 poly-spandex four-way-stretch joggers, mostly 100% polyester polos, and a softer CoreSoft modal blend for layers
  • Design language: Clean athletic-casual: solids, subtle prints, the signature Blade Collar and jogger-led outfits rather than country-club tradition
  • Fit profile: Tapered and athletic ("Golfers are Athletes" is the tagline), with joggers in five lengths and Tall sizes on selected polos
  • Range depth: Polos, tees, joggers, trousers, shorts, hoodies, quarter-zips, sweaters, vests, a hybrid jacket, women's and youth lines, hats and accessories; no waterproofs

Pros

  • Joggers that fit more people: 28–42 waists in five lengths, with 4.9/5 from 1,535 reviews on the black pair
  • Fair US pricing: $69 polos and $89 joggers sit below most creator-brand rivals
  • Real tour presence: Si Woo Kim and Phil Mickelson's HyFlyers GC, plus co-owner Grant Horvat's YouTube reach
  • Wider sizing than you'd expect: S–3XL, Tall polos, a women's line and youth sizes

Cons

  • No UK stockist, and the store charges a UK visitor in dollars
  • Import VAT and duty are the buyer's to pay on delivery, and no UK delivery rate is published
  • Returns and exchanges cost you the postage unless you added Redo cover at checkout
  • No waterproof jacket or trousers, and no sustainability or manufacturing transparency

Primo Golf Pricing

Primo prices like a confident direct-to-consumer brand: $25 tees, $69 core polos, $89 for joggers, hoodies and most quarter-zips, and $99–$119 for traditional trousers, vests, button-ups and the Hybrid Jacket. The store shows a UK visitor dollar prices. It ships to the UK, but it doesn't publish a UK delivery rate, and customs charges are the buyer's responsibility.

Category Entry Typical Premium
Polos/Tees £19 £53 £61
Midlayers £61 £68 £76
Trousers/Shorts £45 £68 £84
Outerwear £76 £76–£92 £92
Caps £27 £27 £30

Approximate GBP equivalents at about $1.30 to the pound, before UK delivery and the import VAT and duty collected on delivery: tees $25 (£19), Blade and Classic Collar polos $69 (£53), Luxe polos $75 (£58), Grant Horvat Essentials polos $79 (£61), women's polos $59 (£45), mock-neck tees $69 (£53), shorts $59–$79 (£45–£61), joggers $89 (£68), traditional trousers $99–$109 (£76–£84), hoodies, crews and quarter-zips $89–$99 (£68–£76), CoreSoft vests $79 (£61), puffer vests $99 (£76), button-up shirts $99–$119 (£76–£92), Hybrid Jacket $119 (£92), hats $35–$39 (£27–£30), beanies $25 (£19).

Comparison:

  • Primo Golf vs Three Putt: Both dress golfers who don't want the country-club uniform. Primo is the athletic option, but UK buyers pay in dollars and settle import charges on the doorstep. Three Putt is a UK brand with tees from £24.99, heavyweight hoodies £45.99–£54.99 and free UK delivery. Gym fit, or golf-culture streetwear.
  • Primo Golf vs Good Good Golf: Golf's two big creator-linked brands, at near-identical polo money ($69 vs $69.99–$78.99). Good Good has the louder designs and a waterproof jacket. Primo has the five-length jogger, and from the UK it at least accepts returns, where Good Good's international orders are final sale.
  • Primo Golf vs TravisMathew: Both make athletic-cut golfwear that works off the course. TravisMathew is Callaway-owned and stocked by UK retailers such as Function18, so there's no import faff. Primo is the jogger specialist, but you'll be importing it yourself.
  • Primo Golf vs Barstool Golf: The same money for a performance polo ($69 vs $70), with very different personalities: Barstool sells the podcast joke, Primo sells the gym fit. Barstool collects UK duties at checkout; Primo leaves them for the courier to collect.

Promos/Outlet Notes: The Bundle Builder takes up to 20% off a top, bottom and accessory (not combinable with other discounts). Last Call runs final-sale markdowns, such as HyFlyers polos at $49 against $79. Free shipping over $150 is US-only.

Verdict: 7.4/10

Honest US pricing: a $69 polo and an $89 jogger are fair for what you get. For UK buyers the value slides once the dollar conversion, an unpublished delivery rate and import charges on the doorstep are added.

Primo Golf Fit & Sizing (Usability)

Primo's tagline is "Golfers are Athletes", and the cut follows it: tapered polos, a "Signature-Fit" jogger and slim shorts. Product pages carry size charts in inches or centimetres, plus the model's height and size.

Notes:

  • Polos/Tees: Blade polos are labelled "Tapered-Fit", with a 39"–54" chest from S to 3XL. Selected Blade and Classic polos also come in Tall, from L Tall to 3XL Tall.
  • Midlayers: Hoodies and quarter-zips are stretchy and athletic; Primo's own advice is to size up if you're between sizes.
  • Trousers/Shorts: Joggers run 28–42 waists in Extra Short, Short, Regular, Tall and Extra Tall (24.5"–31" inseams), though not every waist comes in every length. Short is recommended for golfers 5'9" and under. Shorts come in 7", 9" and 11" inseams with a slim fit.
  • Outerwear: The Hybrid Jacket and puffer vests run S–3XL, and the vests are described as fitted; one reviewer at 6'1" was glad he sized up.
  • Heat/Humidity: The polyester polos and 95/5 jogger fabric are lightweight and breathable; the CoreSoft and polar fleece layers are for cool mornings.
  • Size Charts: Clear charts covering chest, length, shoulder, waist, inseam, rise and leg opening.

Accessibility/Range:

  • Men's tops S–3XL, Tall polos, and jogger waists from 28 to 42.
  • Women's pieces in XS–XL, with some styles to 2XL.
  • Youth polos and hoodies in YXS–YXL.

Verdict: 8.2/10

Five jogger lengths and Tall polos are excellent fit coverage. The catch for UK buyers: a wrong size means paying postage back to the US.

Primo Golf Core Product Categories

Polos & Tees

The engine of the range: Blade Collar and Classic Collar polos in dozens of colourways, almost all at $69 and mostly 100% polyester. Fall 2026 added $75 Luxe polos in a textured jacquard knit, Grant Horvat Essentials polos sit at $79, and the Si Woo Kim x Primo polos launched in August at $69. Women's polos are $59, while tees ($25) and mock necks ($69) fill the gaps.

Verdict: 7.8/10

Joggers, Trousers & Shorts

The reason most people find Primo. The $89 jogger is 95% polyester and 5% spandex, with four-way stretch, non-bunching elastic at the back and side zips for a clean taper. It comes in 19 colours, and the black pair shows 4.9/5 from 1,535 reviews. One buyer praised "the perfect inseam for a shorter fella like myself". Traditional trousers ($99–$109) add a tapered non-jogger option with a rubber waistband to hold a tuck, and shorts run $59–$79.

Verdict: 8.5/10

Midlayers (hoodies/quarter-zips/crews)

Broad and well judged. The $89 Golf Hoodie and quarter-zips use a 75/25 poly-spandex stretch, and the CoreSoft pieces ($79–$99) a softer modal blend. Waffle-knit, ribbed-knit and polar fleece layers and crew-neck jumpers round it out. Fall 2026 added lined and unlined button-up shirts at $99–$119.

Verdict: 7.7/10

Outerwear

Light rather than weatherproof. The $119 Hybrid Jacket pairs a ripstop nylon core with stretch sleeves and side panels, and the $99 puffer vests use the same idea. With no waterproof jacket or rain trouser, a British winter round needs another brand's shell.

Verdict: 6.5/10

Women's & Youth

A real women's line now exists, "designed by women, for women": sleeveless and short-sleeve polos ($59), quarter-zips and hoodies ($89), joggers with an elastic waist cut for women ($89), and skirts ($69). Youth polos ($49) and hoodies ($59) cover juniors. It's much smaller than the men's range, but it's no longer a gap.

Verdict: 7.3/10

Caps & Accessories

Hats are $35–$39 across 5-panel, 6-panel, blank and cursive-logo styles, in S/M and M/L sizes rather than one-size-fits-all. Beanies ($25), braided belts ($35), gloves ($15) and sun sleeves ($15) complete the outfit. Supporting cast, not the headline.

Verdict: 7.4/10

Primo Golf Materials & Tech (Construction, Sustainability)

Primo keeps its tech simple: stretch polyester for performance pieces, modal blends for comfort layers. Named fabrics (CoreSoft, Luxe Knit, HugMe) describe feel rather than proprietary technology, and there are no weatherproofing or sustainability claims.

Backend (manufacturing & standards):

  • Primo says it designs every product in-house in the USA; the country of manufacture isn't stated on product pages.
  • No recycled content or sustainability certifications are advertised.
  • The brand runs a 30,000-square-foot operation in Lehi, Utah, according to its 2025 wholesale announcement.
  • US pro-shop wholesale is growing: a RepSpark ordering platform since August 2025, and Association of Golf Merchandisers vendor status since August 2026.

Application (on-garment features):

  • Polos: mostly 100% polyester, with some 90/10 poly-spandex styles; the Luxe polo adds a jacquard texture with moisture-wicking and four-way-stretch claims.
  • Joggers and shorts: 95% polyester / 5% spandex four-way stretch.
  • Hoodies and quarter-zips: 75% polyester / 25% spandex; CoreSoft is 53% modal, 41% micropoly and 6% spandex.
  • Hybrid Jacket and vests: a 100% nylon ripstop core with 95/5 "HugMe" stretch panels.
  • Easy care throughout: machine wash cold and tumble dry. No UPF, waterproof or DWR claims on any product.

Verdict: 7.0/10

Sensible, comfortable fabrics at fair prices, but no manufacturing transparency, no sustainability story and no weatherproofing keep it mid-table.

Primo Golf Customer Support

Support is email-first and built around a self-service returns portal. The policies are clear; they're just written for American customers.

Channels & Hours

  • Email store@primogolfapparel.com; no phone line, live chat or support hours are published.
  • Social channels on Instagram, X (@primogolf_usa), Facebook and YouTube.
  • A Redo returns portal: start a return with your email and ZIP code, or your order and tracking numbers.

Policies

  • Refunds within 30 days of delivery; days 31–60 get store credit or an exchange only, and nothing is accepted after 60 days.
  • Items must be unworn, unwashed and tagged, and Last Call markdowns are marked final sale.
  • Without Redo cover bought with the order, you pay return postage for refunds and exchanges; with it, returns and exchanges ship free.
  • Canadian orders have duties covered by Primo; UK and other international buyers pay customs duty, VAT and fees themselves.

Self-Serve

  • Orders typically process in 1–2 business days (3–5 during sales), and US standard delivery takes 3–7 business days.
  • Primo ships to the UK but doesn't publish a UK delivery rate or timescale, so check the quote at checkout.

Verdict: 6.6/10

Clear policies and a slick portal, but email-only support, unpublished UK delivery costs and buyer-paid returns from Britain make Primo a buy-once-you-know-your-size brand here.

What Are Primo Golf's Review Ratings from Review Sites?

(As of October 2026)

  • Trustpilot: Unrated: an unclaimed profile with no reviews at all, so there's no independent score to lean on.
  • On-site (verified buyers): The Men's Black Golf Jogger shows 4.9/5 from 1,535 reviews, with buyers praising fit and length options. Primo says more than 270,000 golfers have bought from it.
  • Media and Reach: Golf Monthly covered the HyFlyers deal, which began with Mickelson losing a match to Horvat and wearing the joggers at The Open. "I wasn't sure I could pull off wearing the cool, fashionable joggers," Mickelson said. Instagram sits at around 145,000 followers.
  • Tour and Creators: Golf Monthly reports Si Woo Kim signed with Primo at the start of 2026; Grant Horvat bought into the company in March 2024.

Synthesis:

Buyer reviews are strong and plentiful, especially on the joggers, and the tour signings add real credibility. What's missing is any independent review footprint, so the reputation rests on Primo's own site and its creators.

Is Primo Golf a Good Golf Brand?

Yes, especially if you've struggled to find golf trousers that fit. Primo's joggers come in five lengths, the $69 polos are fair value, and the range now covers women, juniors and Tall sizes. Si Woo Kim and the HyFlyers lend real tour credibility. But it's a US brand you have to import: dollar prices, import charges on the doorstep, buyer-paid returns and no waterproofs. If you want golf-culture clothing from a UK brand with free UK delivery, Three Putt's golf tees and heavyweight hoodies skip the customs bill. For more US labels, see our guide to American golf brands.

Frequently Asked Questions About Primo Golf

Who owns Primo Golf?

Primo was founded in June 2020 by four cousins who grew up golfing together in California: Matty Gay, now CEO, and Jason, Jordan and Kirk Williamson. "Primo" means cousin in Spanish. YouTube golfer Grant Horvat bought a stake in March 2024. The business is based in Lehi, Utah.

Where is Primo golf clothing made?

Primo says it designs every product in-house in the USA, but it doesn't state where the clothes are manufactured on its product pages, and it makes no sustainability or certification claims. The brand operates from Lehi, Utah, and sells direct online, through an Amazon US storefront and, increasingly, to US pro shops.

Does Primo ship to the UK?

Yes, but there's no UK store or stockist, and the site charges a UK visitor in US dollars. Primo doesn't publish a UK delivery rate or timescale, so check the quote at checkout. Customs duty, import VAT and any courier fees are the buyer's responsibility and are collected on delivery, not at checkout. Free shipping over $150 is US-only.

How does Primo sizing run?

Athletic and tapered. Men's tops run S–3XL, with Tall sizes on selected polos. Joggers come in 28–42 waists and five lengths, from Extra Short to Extra Tall, with Short recommended for golfers 5'9" and under. Primo advises sizing up on shorts, hoodies and quarter-zips if you're between sizes. Women's pieces run XS–XL, some to 2XL.

Are Primo golf joggers any good?

They're the brand's founding product and its strongest. The $89 jogger uses a 95/5 poly-spandex four-way stretch, a non-bunching elastic back and side zips, and comes in 19 colours. The black pair shows 4.9/5 from 1,535 reviews on Primo's site. Phil Mickelson wore a pair at The Open after losing a bet to Grant Horvat.

Is Primo good quality?

For the money, yes. The fabrics are sensible stretch polyesters and modal blends, on-site buyer reviews are very positive, and tour players wear the kit. The caveats are no independent review base (Trustpilot has no reviews), no manufacturing transparency and no waterproofs. At $69 a polo, it's fair value in the US.

What is Primo's return policy?

You have 30 days from delivery for a refund, and days 31–60 for store credit or an exchange; nothing is accepted after 60 days. Items must be unworn, unwashed and tagged, and Last Call items are final sale. Unless you added Redo cover with your order, you pay the return postage, which from the UK means international shipping.

Does Primo make women's golf clothing?

Yes. The women's line includes sleeveless and short-sleeve polos at $59, quarter-zips and hoodies at $89, joggers at $89 with an elastic waist cut for women, and $69 skirts, mostly in XS–XL. It's much smaller than the men's range, but covers a full outfit. Youth polos and hoodies are available too.
