Honest Röhnisch Golf Clothing Review 2026 | Three Putt Golf

Updated on: October 1, 2026 • ~11 min read

Author: Graeme

We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

Swedish, women-only and serious about recycled fabric. Röhnisch is one of the longest-standing specialists in women's golf clothing.

How We Review Golf Clothing Brands

Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.

Verdict: 7.7/10

Röhnisch is a Swedish women-only sportswear brand, founded in 1945 and making golf clothing since 2002 with an all-female design team. We liked the genuinely wide sizing, the recycled-fabric record, trousers in two leg lengths, new 10,000mm Rain Shield rainwear and proper pound pricing on its UK site.

It's a specialist rather than a fashion label: polos, knits, trousers, skorts, dresses, padded layers and rainwear, all cut for women. Its website still features 2018 Women's British Open champion Georgia Hall as an ambassador.

Where it falls short for UK golfers: prices have climbed (polos £55–£106, jackets £140–£175), direct delivery costs £12.90, change-of-mind returns knock £4.90 off your refund, and the big UK golf chains don't stock it. And by design, there's nothing for men.

This brand is best for women golfers who want kit cut for their shape, in a wide size range, from a brand with a real sustainability record.

Key Features

  • Signature tech/fabric: Recycled polyester piqué and twill with UPF 50+, 4-way stretch Chie trousers, recycled padding and new 10,000mm Rain Shield rainwear
  • Design language: Clean Scandinavian lines in navy, black and oatmeal, lifted by seasonal floral prints and a heritage argyle knit: "for women, by women"
  • Fit profile: Mostly regular fit, cut for the female body; the brand says take your usual size and go up one for layering
  • Range depth: Polos, knits, midlayers, trousers, capris, skorts, a dress, padded layers, rainwear and a few accessories, plus a separate sportswear line

Pros

  • A genuine women's golf specialist with an all-female design team
  • Wide sizing: core tops run XXS–3XL and trousers EU 32–52, with the Chie trousers in two leg lengths
  • A strong materials record: 94% of AW24 products met its recycled, organic or biodegradable criteria, and it has been fluorocarbon-free since 2015
  • Free size exchanges on direct orders, plus a phone line and chat

Cons

  • Prices have risen: polos now £55–£106 and jackets £140–£175
  • Direct UK orders pay £12.90 delivery, and £4.90 comes off refunds for returns
  • Thin UK retail presence: American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18 and Clubhouse Golf don't list it
  • Women only, so nothing for the rest of the fourball

Röhnisch Golf Pricing

Röhnisch charges UK visitors in pounds on its own site, and the AW26 range sits firmly in premium territory, from £55 polos to a £175 rain jacket. UK delivery is £12.90 by DHL Express Economy.

Category Entry Typical Premium
Polos/Tops £55 £57–£60 £106
Midlayers £70 £80–£100 £150
Trousers/Skorts £70 £80–£106 £125
Outerwear £115 £140 £175
Caps/Accessories £13 £17–£35 £35

UK prices on rohnisch.com, before the £12.90 delivery charge: Deni Sleeveless Poloshirt £55, Deni Poloshirt £57, Miriam Poloshirt £60, Addy Long Sleeve £70, Heritage Knitted Poloshirt £106; Polar Fleece £70, Merino Wool Half Zip £80, Team Crewneck £100, Knitted Zip Sweater £150; Bonnie Structure Skort £70, Chie Comfort Skort £80, Deni Sleeveless Dress £90, Chie Comfort Pants £100, Warm Flex Chinos £115, Rain Shield Pants £125; Light Padded Vest £115, Light Padded Jacket £140, Padded Windbreaker Jacket £160, Rain Shield Jacket £175; socks £13–£18, caps, beanies and visor £35.

Comparison:

  • Röhnisch vs Three Putt: Different jobs entirely. Röhnisch makes technical women's golf kit, from UPF polos to rainwear. Three Putt is a UK golf streetwear brand selling tees from £23.99, sweatshirts at £34.99–£49.99 and heavyweight hoodies at £45.99–£51.99, with free UK delivery. One dresses the round; the other is the layer for the drive home.
  • Röhnisch vs J.Lindeberg: Sweden's two best-known golf clothing names, pulling in different directions. J.Lindeberg is the fashion-first label with men's and women's ranges. Röhnisch is women-only and puts fit, size breadth and recycled fabric first.
  • Röhnisch vs Galvin Green: Another Swedish specialist, but built around Gore-Tex waterproofs. If staying dry is the priority, Galvin Green's outerwear is the deeper bench. Röhnisch's new Rain Shield pieces are water-resistant rainwear inside a much broader women's wardrobe.
  • Röhnisch vs Lululemon: Both come out of women's activewear. Lululemon brings athleisure polish to its golf edit. Röhnisch goes deeper on golf-specific pieces such as long skorts, capris and two trouser leg lengths.

Promos/Outlet Notes: Bundled outfit kits are 25% off (the Classic Navy Kit is £247), and the Archive Sale holds just five golf pieces, each at 60% off. UK stockist GolfGarb marks down 67 of its 120 Röhnisch lines, mostly by around 10%, with a few at up to 60%. GolfOnline's listed RRPs on some lines sit a few pounds under Röhnisch's own (Miriam polo £56.95 against £60).

Verdict: 7.0/10

Fair money for well-made, recycled-fabric golf kit, but the AW26 prices are a clear step up and direct orders add £12.90 delivery. Stockist markdowns and the kits make it easier to justify.

Röhnisch Golf Fit & Sizing (Usability)

Röhnisch cuts everything for women, and its own guidance is simple. Most golf pieces are a regular fit, so take your usual size and consider one size up for layering.

Notes:

  • Polos/Tops: Regular fit. The Miriam polo runs XXS–3XL; the cotton Heritage Knitted polo runs XS–3XL with a 59cm back length in a medium.
  • Midlayers: The Polar Fleece comes in XXS–3XL in a regular fit, so the usual-size rule applies.
  • Trousers/Skorts: The Chie Comfort trousers and skort run EU 32–52. The trousers come in 30 and 32 leg lengths, with an 81cm inseam on the 32 in a size 40.
  • Outerwear: The Padded Windbreaker Jacket runs XXS–3XL; the Rain Shield jacket and trousers run XS–3XL, regular fit. A Women & Golf reader who sized up on an older padded jacket found "I needn't have gone up 2 sizes."
  • Heat/Humidity: Quick-drying recycled polyester polos with UPF 50+ and the thin Chie twill suit summer rounds; brushed and thermal trousers cover winter.
  • Size Charts: Good: body measurements in centimetres and inches, EU-to-UK conversions, and each product notes the model's height and size.

Accessibility/Range:

  • Core tops run XXS–3XL; trousers and skorts run EU 32–52, and Röhnisch's chart puts EU 34 at a UK 6 and EU 52 at a UK 24.
  • Women only, by design since 2000: there's no men's range.

Verdict: 8.1/10

A properly female-engineered fit with sizing that reaches further than most golf brands, and clear advice on when to size up. Two leg lengths on the core trouser is the detail that sets it apart.

Röhnisch Golf Core Product Categories

Polos & Tops

The everyday core is the £60 Miriam polo: 100% recycled polyester piqué with a cotton feel, UPF 50+ and plenty of colours. The printed Deni styles cost £55 sleeveless or £57 short-sleeved. For autumn there's the £70 Addy Long Sleeve and £80 Warm Team Poloshirt. The new AW26 Heritage Knitted Poloshirt (£106, 100% cotton, navy or orchid argyle) is the dressiest piece.

Verdict: 8.0/10

Midlayers (fleeces/half-zips/knits)

A solid layering bench: the £70 Polar Fleece in 100% recycled polyester, the £80 Amie Brushed Midlayer and Merino Wool Half Zip, and the £100 Team Crewneck. At the top sit two online exclusives, the Knitted Zip Sweater and Knitted Wind Half Zip Sweater, both £150. Smart enough for the clubhouse, though the knits are pricey.

Verdict: 7.8/10

Trousers, Shorts & Skorts

The strongest category. The Chie Comfort family covers the year: £100 trousers in two leg lengths, a £90 capri, an £80 Bermuda and an £80 skort. The trousers and skort are 86% recycled polyester with 4-way stretch and UPF 50+. Winter adds the £106 Chie Brushed Pant and Thermal Stretch Pull on Pants and the £115 Warm Flex Chinos. Breezy Pleated skorts come in regular and long lengths (£80), and the Deni Sleeveless Dress is £90.

Verdict: 8.2/10

Outerwear

Mostly padding for cold, dry days: the £115 Light Padded Vest, £140 Light Padded Jacket, and the Padded Windbreaker Vest (£140) and Jacket (£160), the jacket in 100% recycled polyester. The news for AW26 is rainwear. The Rain Shield Jacket (£175) and Pants (£125) are rated to 10,000mm with 10,000g breathability, 2-way stretch and a hidden hood. Röhnisch calls them wind- and water-resistant rather than waterproof.

Verdict: 7.8/10

Caps & Accessories

A slim edit of 11 products. The Warm Padded Cap, Fairway Fleece Beanie and Tour visor are all £35, sock two-packs cost £13–£18, and there's a £35 water bottle. There's no standard summer cap or belt in the current golf accessories line-up, so this is a finisher rather than a reason to buy.

Verdict: 6.9/10

Röhnisch Golf Materials & Tech (Construction, Sustainability)

This is still Röhnisch's strongest suit, though the targets have moved. Its 2025 goal of every product being at least 70% recycled, organic or biodegradable has been reviewed. The new aim is 95% by 2030, because no recycled elastane yet meets its quality bar.

Backend (manufacturing & standards):

  • For AW24, 94% of products met its recycled, organic or biodegradable criteria, up from 24% in 2017.
  • 83% of the materials it uses are rated A ("preferred") on its own A-to-E matrix, and nothing rated E is used.
  • Fluorocarbon-free since 2015; wool is non-mulesed, down is RDS-certified or Re:Down, and prints are digital.
  • All nominated fabric suppliers are either Bluesign or Oeko-Tex certified.
  • Garments are made in China and Vietnam: the Miriam polo and Rain Shield jacket in China, the Chie trousers and skort in Vietnam.

Application (on-garment features):

  • Polos: 100% recycled polyester piqué, quick-drying and moisture-wicking, UPF 50+.
  • Trousers/skorts: Chie twill in 86% recycled polyester and 14% elastane, 4-way stretch, wrinkle-free, UPF 50+.
  • Padded layers: the Padded Windbreaker is 100% recycled polyester, windproof and water-repellent with ribbed stretch panels; the Light Padded Jacket uses about 450g of recycled polyester fill.
  • Rainwear: Rain Shield fabric is rated to 10,000mm and 10,000g/m²/24h, with adjustable cuffs, waist and hems.

Verdict: 8.3/10

One of the best-documented sustainability stories in golf clothing, backed by real performance fabric. The revised target and overseas manufacturing are worth knowing, but Röhnisch is open about both.

Röhnisch Golf Customer Support

A small Swedish team with more channels than you'd expect and clear policies. The catch: direct UK buyers pay for delivery and change-of-mind returns.

Channels & Hours

  • Kaybot chat for simple questions, which can hand you to a person who replies by email.
  • Phone support on +46 (0)19 32 16 00, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 09:00–12:00 CEST, in Swedish and English.

Policies

  • 30 days to return from delivery; items must be unworn, unwashed and still tagged.
  • Refunds land within 14 days of the return arriving, minus the £4.90 UK DHL return cost.
  • Size exchanges are free for the same item in the same colour; a different colour or product means returning and reordering.
  • Faulty items are claimed through the contact form with photos, and Röhnisch pays return postage on approved claims. Stockist purchases go back to the stockist.

Self-Serve

  • UK delivery is £12.90 by DHL Express Economy, with no UK free-delivery threshold listed.
  • Röhnisch says it covers import costs on UK orders over £135, and asks you to get in touch if a courier asks for fees.
  • Returns and exchanges are registered online; there's no paper return slip in the parcel.
  • In the UK, GolfGarb (120 Röhnisch lines) and GolfOnline (17) stock it, each with its own delivery and returns terms. Shipments to the US and Canada are currently paused.

Verdict: 7.3/10

Phone, chat and free size swaps are more than many small brands offer. The £12.90 delivery and £4.90 return deduction will push many UK buyers to GolfGarb or GolfOnline.

What Are Röhnisch's Review Ratings from Review Sites?

(As of October 2026)

  • Trustpilot: 2.9/5 from just 25 reviews on a claimed profile, too few to weigh heavily. Recent reviews praise the fit for curvier figures and helpful customer service; older complaints centre on thinner insulated trousers and return costs.
  • Editorial: Women & Golf published a reader review of the Airlite padded jacket that recommended it as warm and wind resistant. That jacket has since left the main golf range.
  • Tour link: Röhnisch's Georgia Hall page quotes her saying "I always get lovely comments from people about my outfits."
  • Reach: Around 77K Instagram followers on the main account and about 10K on @rohnischgolf, with the brand marking 80 years in 2025.

Synthesis:

Independent evidence is thin but leans positive on fit and style; the complaints are mostly about cost. Among women golfers, its standing is stronger than the Trustpilot score suggests.

Is Röhnisch a Good Golf Brand?

Yes. Röhnisch is one of the most credible women's golf specialists you can buy in the UK. It's cut for women, sized from XXS to 3XL and backed by a well-documented recycled-fabric record. The trade-offs are higher AW26 prices, £12.90 direct delivery, paid returns and few high-street stockists. If you're after relaxed golf-culture clothing rather than technical kit, Three Putt's golf tees and heavyweight hoodies come from a UK brand with free UK delivery. Frequently Asked Questions About Röhnisch

Who owns Röhnisch?

Swedish investment company Creades owns 82% of Röhnisch, according to its half-year report to 30 June 2026. Creades first bought a 68.5% stake in 2016. The business was founded in 1945 by Swedish gymnastics champion Hellmut Röhnisch, originally making gymnastics apparatus, and has been run by chief executives from outside the family since 2020.

Is Röhnisch only for women?

Yes. Röhnisch repositioned itself as an all-female brand in 2000 under the line "For women, by women", and launched its women's golf range in 2002. Its design team is all-female. There is no men's golf range, so it's a brand for women golfers specifically rather than a unisex label with a women's line.

Where is Röhnisch based and where are its clothes made?

Röhnisch is a Swedish company headquartered in Örebro. Its garments are made overseas: product information lists China for pieces such as the Miriam polo and Rain Shield jacket, and Vietnam for the Chie trousers and skort. All its nominated fabric suppliers are Bluesign or Oeko-Tex certified.

Does Röhnisch deliver to the UK?

Yes. Its UK site charges in pounds, and delivery is £12.90 by DHL Express Economy, with no UK free-delivery threshold listed. Röhnisch says it covers import costs on UK orders over £135. You can also buy through UK stockists GolfGarb and GolfOnline, which often carry markdowns. Shipments to the US and Canada are currently paused.

How does Röhnisch sizing run?

Mostly regular fit: Röhnisch says choose your usual size and go up one if you want room for layering. Core tops run XXS–3XL. The Chie trousers and skort run EU 32–52, and its chart puts EU 34 at a UK 6 and EU 52 at a UK 24. The trousers also come in 30 and 32 leg lengths.

What is Röhnisch's return policy?

You have 30 days from delivery to return unworn, unwashed items with tags attached. Refunds arrive within 14 days of the parcel reaching Röhnisch, minus the £4.90 UK return cost. Size exchanges for the same item and colour are free. Faulty goods are covered, and anything bought from a stockist goes back to that retailer under its own policy.

Is Röhnisch sustainable?

More than most golf brands. For AW24, 94% of its products met its recycled, organic or biodegradable criteria, up from 24% in 2017, and 83% of the materials it uses are rated "preferred". It has been fluorocarbon-free since 2015. Its earlier 2025 target has been revised to 95% by 2030, because recycled elastane doesn't yet meet its standards.

Does Röhnisch make waterproof golf clothing?

It now has proper rainwear. The AW26 Rain Shield Jacket (£175) and Rain Shield Pants (£125) are rated to 10,000mm water resistance and 10,000g breathability, with stretch fabric, a hidden hood and adjustable hems. Röhnisch describes them as wind- and water-resistant rather than waterproof. The Padded Windbreaker pieces are water-repellent, not rainproof.
