7 Best Röhnisch Alternatives in 2026 | Ranked
Updated on: October 1, 2026

Exploring the brands women golfers turn to beyond Röhnisch's Swedish, female-designed approach to golfwear.

How We Review Golf Clothing Brands
Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.
Top Picks
- Swing Out Sister: Best overall for UK sizing and free exchanges
- Chervò: Best for Italian technical golfwear with a full women's range
- Daily Sports: Best for Swedish women's specialism through UK stockists
- Lululemon Golf: Best for technical golfwear bought and returned in the UK
- Three Putt Golf: Best for golf streetwear off the course
- Ping Apparel: Best for women's golf kit including waterproofs
- Cross Sportswear: Best for Swedish waterproof engineering
Why People Look Beyond Röhnisch
Most women who look beyond Röhnisch do so over cost and convenience rather than quality. In October 2026 its polos ran £55–£106 and its jackets £140–£175. Direct UK orders add £12.90 delivery with no free-delivery threshold listed, £4.90 comes off refunds on returns, and few UK golf retailers stock it.
Röhnisch is a Swedish women-only sportswear brand, founded in 1945 and making golf clothing since 2002. Its design team has been all-female since 2000, under the line "For women, by women". Swedish investment company Creades owned 82% of it in mid-2026, and its website features 2018 Women's British Open champion Georgia Hall as an ambassador.
The clothes are not the problem. Core tops run XXS–3XL, the Chie trousers come in two leg lengths, and 94% of its AW24 products met its own sustainable-materials criteria. It has been fluorocarbon-free since 2015, and all its nominated fabric suppliers are Bluesign or Oeko-Tex certified. None of the seven alternatives below matches that record.
Buying is where it gets harder for UK golfers. Delivery is £12.90 by DHL Express Economy, though Röhnisch says it covers import costs on UK orders over £135. Returns are accepted for 30 days with £4.90 taken off the refund, although size exchanges are free. GolfGarb and GolfOnline stock it, but American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18 and Clubhouse Golf didn't list it in October 2026.
Rain is the other gap. Its new AW26 Rain Shield jacket and trousers are rated to 10,000mm, and Röhnisch calls them water-resistant rather than waterproof. For a wet British winter, some of the brands below go further.

Detailed Breakdown by Brand
Swing Out Sister: Best Overall for UK Sizing and Free Exchanges

Available on: swingoutsistergolf.com
Key Features:
- British women's golf clothing brand born in 2016, based in Uckfield, East Sussex, and owned and run by Lucy Dickman
- Its own tagline is "Designed For Golf | Styled For Life", and the range is known for bold, colourful named prints
- Tops come in three fits (slim, regular and comfort), with trousers and skorts in UK 6–22 and tops in XS–3XL
- Polos, dresses, skorts, trousers, knitwear, gilets, jackets and golf shoes, plus a 13-piece men's capsule called Brother
Pros:
- The Amelie polo is £29.95 and no dress costs more than £72.95, against Röhnisch's £55–£106 polos
- Free UK exchanges, and standard UK delivery is free over £75 (£4 below)
- Sized in UK numbers, so there's no EU conversion to work out on trousers and skorts
- A 4.7/5 rating from 641 on-site reviews in October 2026, plus click-and-collect from its Uckfield base
Cons:
- No fully waterproof jacket: the outerwear is wind- and water-repellent at best
- No certified sustainability claims and no country of manufacture on product pages, a long way short of Röhnisch
- A refund return costs £4.50 for the label, and American Golf, Scottsdale Golf and Function18 didn't list it in October 2026
Verdict:
Swing Out Sister removes most of the friction of buying Röhnisch in the UK: UK sizes, prices in pounds, free exchanges and entry polos at about half the money. It can't match Röhnisch's materials record, and nothing in the range will keep you dry in a downpour.
Chervò: Best for Italian Technical Golfwear with a Full Women's Range

Available on: chervo.com
Key Features:
- Italian brand founded in 1982 by brothers Manfred and Peter Erlacher as a Dolomites ski label, moving into golf in the early 1990s
- A named fabric suite: Aqua-Block waterproofing, Wind-Lock, Pro-Therm, Dry-Matic, Sunblock and Aqua-Drop
- An official Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup licensee, with Jenny Shin, Emma Spitz, Alessandra Fanali and Alexandra Försterling on Team Chervò
- Men's, women's and junior lines, with women's polos, dresses, skirts and waterproof trousers
Pros:
- Weather tech with real numbers: Aqua-Block jackets and over-trousers are rated at over 20,000mm, with taped seams
- UK sizes on its UK site, with women's polos in UK 8–20 and waterproof trousers in UK 6–20
- Current tour form: Jenny Shin won the 2026 Women's Scottish Open at Dundonald Links
- Merino-cashmere knitwear and Italian tailoring that work in the clubhouse as well as on the course
Cons:
- Dearer than Röhnisch: women's polos started at £115.31 in October 2026, against Röhnisch's £55
- UK orders ship duties-unpaid, so the courier may ask for import VAT and duties
- A €65 return fee covering shipping, duties and customs, and no direct exchanges
Verdict:
Chervò is the nearest match to Röhnisch on technical credibility, and its Aqua-Block waterproofs go further than Röhnisch's Rain Shield pieces. Buying is harder, though, with higher prices, duties-unpaid delivery and a €65 return fee. Know your size before you order, and don't expect Röhnisch's materials story.
Daily Sports: Best for Swedish Women's Specialism Through UK Stockists

Available on: dailysports.com
Key Features:
- Family-owned Swedish brand founded in 1995 by Elisabeth Skoghag, with her daughter Ulrika as CEO and owner since 2016
- Describes itself as Sweden's first clothing brand made solely for female golfers
- Built around the pull-on Magic trousers, in 29, 32 and 34-inch lengths plus ankle, capri, shorts and skort versions
- Polos, knits, dresses, skirts, rainwear and jackets, plus a growing outdoor line; women only
Pros:
- A like-for-like Swedish women's specialist, with three decades of golf trousers and skorts behind it
- Recycled-polyester Peoria polos at £44–£50 from UK stockists, and a 10,000mm Flaine rain jacket with fully taped seams
- Listed in the UK by GolfOnline, Scottsdale Golf, Ladies Online Golf and Love Golf Clothes
- Honest fit advice: the brand says its bottoms run large and recommends sizing down on the Magic trousers
Cons:
- No direct UK delivery: its own store ships to Sweden, Norway and EU countries only
- Most bottoms stop at UK 20 and most tops at XXL, short of Röhnisch's XXS–3XL tops
- Returns, prices and ranges depend on the UK stockist you choose, and stockists often carry a narrower size run
Verdict:
Daily Sports is the closest like-for-like swap: Swedish, women-only and built around trousers and skorts. You can't buy from the brand in the UK, so everything depends on which stockist has your size. Röhnisch reaches further up the size range and documents its materials far better.
Lululemon Golf: Best for Technical Golfwear Bought and Returned in the UK

Available on: lululemon.co.uk · Read our full Lululemon Golf review
Key Features:
- Vancouver activewear company whose "Designed for Golf" line launched in spring 2022
- Its 2025 women's launch was its largest golf assortment yet, with polo dresses, box-pleat skirts and technical layers
- Women's Quick-Dry polos come in three sleeve lengths, alongside the Define Cropped Jacket and a high-neck vest
- PGA Tour players Min Woo Lee and Max Homa lead its golf roster; Lydia Ko was its LPGA ambassador from 2019 until around 2024
Pros:
- A proper UK operation: prices in pounds, more than 20 UK stores and free delivery over £50
- Free returns within 30 days, against Röhnisch's £4.90 deduction
- Free trouser hemming in its UK stores, with no receipt needed
- Women's polos at £58–£78, close to Röhnisch's £55–£60 core polos
Cons:
- Hemmed or altered items and headwear can't be returned
- It rolled back sustainability targets in late 2025, including dropping a single-use plastic goal
- Golf is one edit inside an activewear brand, not the whole business, and the golf dress is £128
Verdict:
For a UK woman who wants technical fabric without delivery or return charges, Lululemon solves the buying problem completely. Its skirts and polo dresses hold their own against Röhnisch's. On materials, though, Röhnisch is well ahead.
Three Putt Golf: Best for Golf Streetwear Off the Course

Available on: threeputtgolfclothing.co.uk
Key Features:
- Leeds-based UK golf streetwear brand selling tees, long-sleeve tees, sweatshirts and hoodies
- Six graphic designs across all four garments: Contours, Happy Place, Tee Time, Reckless Driving, The Scenic Route and Three on the Green
- Tees in 305gsm, 100% cotton with a relaxed fit, S–2XL, in five colourways per design
- Oversized drop-shoulder hoodies at 430gsm (56% cotton, 44% polyester), S–2XL, in four colourways per design
Pros:
- Tees at £24.99–£30.99 and hoodies at £45.99–£54.99, well under Röhnisch's £70–£150 midlayers
- Free UK delivery from a UK site priced in pounds, where Röhnisch charges £12.90
- 400gsm cotton crewneck sweatshirts (£37.99–£47.99) and oversized drop-shoulder 305gsm long-sleeve tees (£28.99–£35.99) for the drive home
Cons:
- No women's-specific range or cut: tees run S–3XL and everything else S–2XL, and there are no polos, trousers or outerwear
- Cotton streetwear rather than technical kit, with no moisture-wicking, stretch fabric or weather protection
- Returns within 14 days of delivery: email support@threeputtgolfclothing.co.uk first, and you pay the return postage
Verdict:
Röhnisch's whole point is golf clothing cut for women, and a brand with no women's range can't replace any of that. What Three Putt offers is the off-course layer, a tee or hoodie, from a UK brand with free UK delivery. Golfers at clubs with a collared-shirt dress code will need a polo from elsewhere.
Ping Apparel: Best for Women's Golf Kit Including Waterproofs

Available on: pingeurope.com
Key Features:
- Run by PING Europe in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, part of the family-owned PING founded in 1959 by Karsten and Louise Solheim
- Women's polos run from the £45 Sedona to the £60 Aeria prints, with sleeveless styles and £65 long-sleeve half-zips
- Women's AquaDrive waterproofs at £150, plus skorts and dresses, with women's polos and waterproofs in sizes 6–20
- Sells Team Europe's 2026 Solheim Cup kit
Pros:
- Women's polos at £45–£65, below most of Röhnisch's £55–£106 polos
- Bought in pounds from a UK company: £5 delivery, free over £50, with no customs to think about
- Easy to try on: American Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf and GolfOnline all list Ping clothing
- A five-year limited warranty on AquaDrive Pro and SensorDry 2.5 waterproofs
Cons:
- Only 14 days to return a direct order, posted back at your own cost, against Röhnisch's 30 days
- Women's sizes stop at 20, where Röhnisch's trouser chart reaches a UK 24
- Recycled content comes item by item, with no wider sustainability programme to set against Röhnisch's
Verdict:
Ping is the practical pick: a full women's range including proper waterproofs, priced below most of Röhnisch's range and stocked by the big UK golf retailers. The 14-day, customer-paid returns window is short, and its styling stays in safe club territory.
Cross Sportswear: Best for Swedish Waterproof Engineering

Available on: cross-sportswear.com
Key Features:
- Founded in Gothenburg in 1986 by two golfers who wanted rainwear they could actually swing in
- Built on its own FTX membrane system; the Pro jacket is a 2-layer, 4-way stretch shell rated 20,000mm, with 20,000g breathability
- Topped MyGolfSpy's rain gear test three years running, from 2017 to 2019 (jointly in 2019)
- The trademark was sold in October 2025 to a subsidiary of Seagull-Eye Group, weeks before the old operating company went bankrupt; the brand now trades as CRSW Atelier AB
Pros:
- Published waterproof ratings of 15,000–20,000mm across its Pro, Hurricane and Cabot pieces, against Röhnisch's 10,000mm
- A genuine women's range: Pro, Hurricane, X-Pro and Cloud rain gear, polos, Lux chinos, a skort and the Mary golf dress
- A UK route for women: Ladies Online Golf listed 29 Cross pieces in October 2026, with the women's Pro jacket at an RRP of £199.95
Cons:
- No direct UK delivery: the webshop ships to EU countries and a few others, but not the UK
- A brand in transition under new owners, and the big UK golf chains don't stock it
- Women's Pro and Hurricane rain gear stops at XXL, and production is in China with no certifications cited
Verdict:
Cross is the Swedish brand to reach for when the forecast turns, with properly rated stretch rainwear that outguns Röhnisch's water-resistant Rain Shield pieces. The catch is access: it won't deliver to the UK, so you're shopping a stockist's edit, and the brand is still finding its feet under new owners.

Summary
Röhnisch is one of the most credible women's golf specialists you can buy in the UK. It has had an all-female design team since 2000, has made golf clothing since 2002 and keeps one of the best-documented materials records in golf clothing.
The reasons to look elsewhere are mostly about cost and convenience. AW26 prices have climbed, direct orders pay £12.90 delivery, refunds lose £4.90, and few UK golf retailers carry it. Its rainwear is water-resistant rather than waterproof, too.
Each brand here fixes part of that. Swing Out Sister is British, cheaper and sized in UK numbers. Chervò and Cross go further on weatherproofing, and Daily Sports is the Swedish like-for-like through UK stockists. Lululemon and Ping sell in pounds from UK operations. Three Putt covers the off-course layer with free UK delivery, though it has no women's range.
None of them matches Röhnisch on materials. If that record is why you shortlisted it, buy Röhnisch and budget for the £12.90 delivery. For more brands from across the continent, see our guide to European golf brands.

Frequently Asked Questions About Röhnisch
What is Röhnisch known for?
Röhnisch is known as a Swedish women-only sportswear brand with an all-female design team, working under the line "For women, by women". It was founded in 1945, went all-female in 2000 and launched its golf range in 2002. It is also known for its materials record: 94% of its AW24 products met its own sustainable-materials criteria.
Who owns Röhnisch?
Swedish investment company Creades owns 82% of Röhnisch, according to its half-year report to 30 June 2026. Creades first bought a 68.5% stake in 2016. The business was founded in 1945 by Swedish gymnastics champion Hellmut Röhnisch, and it has been run by chief executives from outside the family since 2020.
Does Röhnisch deliver to the UK?
Yes. Its UK site charges in pounds, and delivery is £12.90 by DHL Express Economy, with no UK free-delivery threshold listed. Röhnisch says it covers import costs on UK orders over £135. You can also buy from UK stockists GolfGarb and GolfOnline, each with its own delivery and returns terms.
Is Röhnisch expensive?
It sits at the premium end. On its UK site in October 2026, the Deni Sleeveless Poloshirt was £55, the Miriam Poloshirt £60, the Chie Comfort Skort £80 and the Chie Comfort Pants £100. The Heritage Knitted Poloshirt was £106 and the Rain Shield Jacket £175. Bundled outfit kits and UK stockists are the cheaper routes in.
Is Röhnisch a sustainable brand?
More than most golf brands. For AW24, 94% of its products met its own sustainable-materials criteria, up from 24% in 2017, and it has been fluorocarbon-free since 2015. All its nominated fabric suppliers are Bluesign or Oeko-Tex certified. Its earlier 2025 target has been replaced by an aim of 95% by 2030.
How does Röhnisch clothing fit?
Mostly regular fit. Röhnisch says choose your usual size and go up one if you want room for layering. Core tops run XXS–3XL. The Chie trousers and skort run EU 32–52, and its chart puts EU 34 at a UK 6 and EU 52 at a UK 24. The trousers also come in 30 and 32 leg lengths.
What is Röhnisch's return policy?
You have 30 days from delivery to return unworn, unwashed items with tags attached. Refunds arrive within 14 days of the parcel reaching Röhnisch, minus the £4.90 UK return cost. Size exchanges for the same item and colour are free. Anything bought from a UK stockist goes back to that retailer under its own policy.
What is the best alternative to Röhnisch for UK golfers?
For most UK women golfers, Swing Out Sister is the easiest swap: UK sizes, prices in pounds, free UK exchanges and polos from £29.95. Daily Sports is the closest Swedish like-for-like, bought through UK stockists. For wet-weather kit, Ping's women's AquaDrive waterproofs and Cross's stretch rain suits are sold as waterproof, where Röhnisch calls its Rain Shield pieces water-resistant.
