Honest Swing Out Sister Golf Clothing Review 2026 | Three Putt Golf

Updated on: October 1, 2026 • ~11 min read

Author: Graeme

We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

Bold prints, friendly prices and a proper winter range: British women's golfwear that refuses to do beige.

How We Review Golf Clothing Brands

Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.

Verdict: 7.7/10

Swing Out Sister is a British women's golf clothing brand from East Sussex, launched in 2016 and known for bold, colourful prints at high-street prices. We liked the polos from £29.95, UK 6–22 trousers and skorts, free UK exchanges, click-and-collect from its Uckfield base and a 4.7/5 rating from 641 on-site reviews.

The AW26 collection launched in late September with roll necks, knits, fleece-lined trousers and a waterproof winter boot, and a small men's capsule, Brother, now sits alongside.

Where it falls short for UK golfers: there's no fully waterproof jacket, returning for a refund costs £4.50, free delivery only starts at £75, and the brand says little about where its clothes are made. You won't find it in the big golf chains either.

This brand is best for women golfers who want colour, personality and inclusive sizing at sensible UK prices, and who are happy to buy direct.

Swing Out Sister not the right brand for you? Check out our comprehensive list of the best Swing Out Sister alternatives.

Key Features

  • Signature tech/fabric: 4-way stretch jersey and piqué, UPF 30+ on selected tops and skorts, "Whisper-tech" wind tops and "heat-tech" padded gilets and jackets
  • Design language: Print-led, colourful British women's golfwear in named prints such as Ocean Bloom and Coral Whisper, with Megabyte and Noughts & Crosses for AW26
  • Fit profile: Three fits (slim, regular and comfort) flagged on product pages; buyers say the trousers and shorts come up large
  • Range depth: Polos, dresses, skorts, trousers, knitwear, gilets, jackets, golf shoes, a winter boot and accessories, plus the 13-piece Brother men's capsule

Pros

  • Genuinely bold prints and colours in a category full of safe pastels
  • High-street pricing: polos from £29.95, no dress over £72.95, and roughly half the range marked down
  • Inclusive sizing: trousers and skorts in UK 6–22, tops in XS–3XL
  • Free UK exchanges, click-and-collect in Uckfield and a 4.7/5 on-site rating from 641 reviews

Cons

  • No fully waterproof jacket: the outerwear is wind- and water-repellent at best
  • Refund returns cost £4.50, and UK delivery is £4 on orders under £75
  • No country of manufacture on product pages and no certified sustainability claims
  • Thin retail presence: none of the big UK golf chains list it

Swing Out Sister Golf Pricing

Swing Out Sister charges a UK visitor in pounds, so these are real UK prices, not conversions. Polos start at £29.95, most layers sit between £37.99 and £59.99, trousers and skorts run £44.95–£72.95, and the dearest jacket is £89.99. Roughly half of its 415 listings show a markdown right now, mostly summer 2026 styles at around 30% off.

Category Entry Typical Premium
Polos/Tops £29.95 £39.99–£46.95 £72.95
Midlayers £37.99 £44.99–£59.99 £84.99
Trousers/Shorts £44.95 £57.95–£64.95 £72.95
Outerwear £59.95 £69.99–£85.99 £89.99
Caps £12.99 £14.95–£24.95 £34.95

Full UK prices: Amelie polo £29.95, Neve pattern polo £39.99, long-sleeve polos £44.99, Paradise Elite Tour and Horizon polos £46.95, dresses £67.95–£72.95; roll necks £37.99–£39.99, Frankie fleece £39.99, pattern quarter-zip fleeces £44.99, Maven sweatshirt £59.99, Carmen and Matilda knits £79.99, Rebecca ribbed knit £84.99; Mandy leggings £44.95, Stella skort £49.95, Core skort and capri £57.95, Core 7/8 trouser £62.95, Elsa and Bridget trousers £64.95, Amber thermal trouser £69.99, Pulse Core Sport trouser £72.95; Cyrus jacket £59.95, Cassia and Maria gilets £69.99, Gabrielle bomber £79.99, Panther Elite wind jacket £82.95, Melissa jacket £85.99, Patricia fleece jacket £89.99; snoods and sock packs £12.99, visors £14.95, gloves £15.95, hats £19.95–£26.95, Star umbrella £34.95, Goody Two Shoes £89.95, Maeve winter shoe £89.99, Carla winter boot £99.99.

Comparison:

  • Swing Out Sister vs Three Putt: Different jobs. Swing Out Sister dresses women golfers head to toe, from £29.95 polos to a £99.99 winter boot. Three Putt is a UK golf streetwear brand with tees from £24.99, sweatshirts £37.99–£47.99, heavyweight hoodies £45.99–£54.99 and free UK delivery. One kits out the round; the other is for the clubhouse.
  • Swing Out Sister vs Glenmuir: British clubhouse staples with opposite moods: quiet heritage versus prints and colour. Swing Out Sister starts cheaper (£29.95 polos against Glenmuir's £55-plus) and its bottoms go up to a UK 22.
  • Swing Out Sister vs Lululemon: Lululemon's women's golf edit is sleeker and dearer, with £58–£78 polos and a £128 golf dress. Swing Out Sister's priciest dress is £72.95, with far more prints. Lululemon wins on fabric tech and free returns.
  • Swing Out Sister vs Galvin Green: Opposite briefs. Galvin Green builds GORE-TEX waterproofs with a lifetime waterproof guarantee and a full women's range; Swing Out Sister has no waterproof jacket at all. For a wet winter, wear a specialist shell over Swing Out Sister colour.

Promos/Outlet Notes: Discounting is near-constant. A September sale offered up to 50% off until 24 September, and summer styles are still reduced: the Paradise Elite Tour polo is £31.99 (from £46.95) and the Panther Elite wind jacket £57.99 (from £82.95). Email sign-ups get 10% off a first order, there's a My Rewards loyalty scheme, and AW26 pieces are on pre-order for 5 October delivery.

Verdict: 8.0/10

Honest high-street pricing in pounds, made sharper by near-permanent markdowns. The £4 delivery charge under £75 and the £4.50 refund label take a little shine off.

Swing Out Sister Golf Fit & Sizing (Usability)

Swing Out Sister cuts its tops in three fits: slim, regular ("slightly shaped in the waist") and comfort, and product pages say which one you're getting. Bottoms are a different story. Several verified buyers say the trousers and shorts run big, and one put it simply: "Come up large so size down."

Notes:

  • Polos/Tops: Mostly regular or comfort fits in 4-way stretch fabrics. A couple of recent reviews found items too small, so check the garment measurements.
  • Midlayers: AW26 roll necks such as the Natasha are slim-fit base layers; fleeces and knits are cut to go over a polo.
  • Trousers/Skorts: Pull-on Core trousers, capris and skorts with wide waistbands. Size down if you're between sizes.
  • Outerwear: Gilets and padded jackets are regular fits, built to layer.
  • Heat/Humidity: Breathable, moisture-wicking jersey and piqué, UPF 30+ on selected skorts and tops, plus visors and bucket hats.
  • Size Charts: A general chart with measuring tips for chest, waist and hip, plus a separate size guide for most individual styles.

Accessibility/Range:

  • Trousers, shorts and skorts in UK 6–22; tops in XS–3XL, which the general chart maps to roughly UK 8–22. A few styles stop at XXL.
  • Golf shoes and the Carla winter boot come in UK 3–9.
  • Brother, the men's capsule, has 13 pieces in S–XXL. There's no junior range.

Verdict: 7.8/10

Inclusive sizing and clear fit labels. Size down on bottoms, check measurements on tops, and lean on the free UK exchanges.

Swing Out Sister Golf Core Product Categories

Polos & Tops

The heart of the range. The £29.95 Amelie polo is the entry point and a teamwear favourite, while the printed Paradise Elite Tour, Horizon and Luca polos list at £46.95 and are £31.99 in the sale. AW26 adds £44.99 long-sleeve polos in the new Megabyte and Noughty prints. Dresses run £67.95–£72.95, topped by the Eternal Elite shift dress.

Verdict: 8.0/10

Midlayers (fleeces/knits/roll necks)

This is where AW26 is strongest. Roll necks start at £37.99, the Frankie lightweight quarter-zip fleece is £39.99 and the printed Heidi, Heather and Hopper fleeces are £44.99. Knitwear steps up to the Carmen quarter-zip and the Matilda lined sweater, with waterproof and windproof panels, at £79.99. The Rebecca ribbed knit tops the range at £84.99.

Verdict: 7.8/10

Trousers, Shorts & Skorts

A full lower-body range built around pull-on comfort. The Core skort and capri are £57.95 and the Core 7/8 trouser £62.95. Skorts run from the £49.95 Stella to the £62.95 Molly pleated. For winter, AW26 adds the fleece-lined Amber 2.0 thermal trouser (£69.99), the Elsa and Bridget trousers (£64.95) and the brushed Harper (£59.95).

Verdict: 8.0/10

Outerwear

Plenty of choice, no rain protection. Gilets start at £69.99 (the Cassia and Maria, with wind- and water-repellent finishes), and jackets run from the £79.99 Gabrielle merino-blend bomber to the £89.99 Patricia fleece. The Panther Elite and Tamara "Whisper-tech" wind tops are ultra-light and stretchy. None is sold as waterproof, so for a wet round see our guide to the best waterproof golf clothing.

Verdict: 7.2/10

Caps & Accessories

A colourful, cheap finish: snoods and sock packs at £12.99, visors £14.95, gloves £15.95, hats £19.95–£26.95 and a £34.95 Star umbrella. Footwear is unusual for a clothing brand at this price. The Goody Two Shoes golf shoe (£89.95) is now "waterproof as standard" and the Carla Chelsea boot (£99.99) is waterproof with built-in winter cleats. The Maeve winter shoe (£89.99) isn't fully waterproof, by its own description.

Verdict: 7.5/10

Swing Out Sister Golf Materials & Tech (Construction, Sustainability)

Practical performance fabrics with in-house names rather than branded tech. The sustainability story is commitments, not certifications.

Backend (manufacturing & standards):

  • Designs start at the brand's HQ in Sussex; product pages don't state a country of manufacture.
  • Its sustainability policy promises more recycled and responsibly sourced fabrics, and UK and European manufacturers "wherever possible", but names no third-party certifications.
  • Independent: owned and run by Lucy Dickman through Swing Out Sister Golf Limited.

Application (on-garment features):

  • 4-way stretch: jersey and piqué polos and skorts, typically 95% polyester and 5% spandex, with UPF 30+ claimed on selected pieces.
  • Core trousers: 77% rayon, 18% nylon and 5% spandex.
  • Whisper-tech: ultra-light, stitchless, wind-resistant wind tops (Tamara, Panther).
  • Heat-tech: padded gilets and jackets with eco filling and wind- and water-repellent outers.
  • AW26 knits: the Natasha roll neck blends cotton with recycled polyester; the Gabrielle bomber is 35% merino wool.

Verdict: 7.0/10

Clear composition labels and sensible fabrics, held back by no country of origin, no certifications and no waterproof membrane.

  • International return labels cost £15.60–£35.25.

Self-Serve

  • In-stock orders are posted within three working days, by Royal Mail for standard UK delivery.
  • Standard delivery is £4 under £75 and free above. Express (FedEx or Royal Mail) is £7, free over £125, or a £3 upgrade on a free-delivery order.
  • Beyond its own site, GolfGarb and Eureka Golf list the range online. American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf and GolfOnline don't.

Verdict: 7.7/10

Real phone support, free exchanges and click-and-collect make it easy to deal with. The £4.50 refund label and the £75 free-delivery line are the only real friction.

What Are Swing Out Sister's Review Ratings from Review Sites?

(As of October 2026)

  • Trustpilot: 4.1 TrustScore from just five reviews, all five-star, on an unclaimed profile. One reviewer sums up the appeal: "Excellent quality at reasonable prices."
  • On-site (Judge.me): 4.7/5 from 641 reviews. Recent reviews are overwhelmingly five-star; the complaints are about fit, a pink that looked brighter online and a couple of seams that came apart.
  • Tour credibility: The brand names English golfer Trish Johnson as an ambassador. She has 19 Ladies European Tour wins and eight Solheim Cup appearances, and won the 2023 U.S. Senior Women's Open.
  • Reach: About 3,400 Instagram followers on @swingoutsistergolf: modest, and very much a community brand.

Synthesis:

Buyers like it: high on-site scores, warm Trustpilot reviews and repeat customers praising sale bargains and quick fixes. What's missing is independent scale, with few off-site reviews and a small social following.

Is Swing Out Sister a Good Golf Brand?

Yes. Swing Out Sister is a good women's golf brand that does what it promises: bright, comfortable, easy-to-wear kit at prices that don't sting, in sizes many brands skip. The AW26 range gives it real winter depth, and free UK exchanges make sizing mistakes painless. It isn't a technical brand, though: there's no waterproof jacket, and it says little about how its clothes are made. If you want golf-culture pieces from a UK brand with free UK delivery, Three Putt's golf tees and heavyweight hoodies are the clubhouse alternative. For more home-grown labels, see our guide to UK golf brands.

Frequently Asked Questions About Swing Out Sister

Who owns Swing Out Sister?

Swing Out Sister is independent. It trades as Swing Out Sister Golf Limited, an East Sussex company whose director and majority shareholder is Lucy Dickman, according to Companies House. The business began as a pop-up selling other labels' women's golfwear at clubs and events, then launched its own Swing Out Sister range in 2016.

Is Swing Out Sister a British brand, and where is it made?

Yes, it's British. The brand says it was "Born in the UK", with designs starting at its HQ in Sussex and a base in Uckfield. Product pages don't list a country of manufacture. Its sustainability policy says it works with UK and European manufacturers and embroiderers wherever possible, so expect a mix of sources rather than a single made-in label.

Does Swing Out Sister make men's golf clothing?

A little. Brother is a 13-piece men's capsule launched in spring 2026, in sizes S–XXL. It includes Jamie, Justin and Archie polos at £44.95, the Luke quarter-zip at £59.95 and the Billy Active jacket at £89.95, plus a cap and belts. Everything else is women's golfwear, and there's no junior range.

Do any professional golfers wear Swing Out Sister?

The brand names Trish Johnson as an ambassador. The English golfer has 19 Ladies European Tour wins and eight Solheim Cup appearances, and won the 2023 U.S. Senior Women's Open at 57. Its Our Story page also mentions the Odessa University golf team in Texas.

How does Swing Out Sister sizing run?

Trousers, shorts and skorts come in UK 6–22 and tops in XS–3XL, roughly UK 8–22 on the general chart. Tops are labelled slim, regular or comfort fit. Several verified buyers say the trousers and shorts come up large and recommend sizing down, while a couple found items on the small side, so check each style's size guide.

How much is Swing Out Sister UK delivery?

Standard UK delivery by Royal Mail is £4, or free on orders over £75. Express delivery by FedEx or Royal Mail is £7, free over £125, or a £3 upgrade on a free-delivery order. In-stock orders are posted within three working days, and you can also click and collect from the brand's Uckfield HQ.

What is Swing Out Sister's return policy?

You have 30 days from receipt to return unworn items with tags, through the online Returns Portal. Exchanges within the UK are free. If you want a refund instead, the UK return label costs £4.50. International returns cost more, from £15.60 to Europe and the US up to £35.25, depending on where you are.

Is Swing Out Sister good quality?

Customers think so: the brand holds 4.7/5 from 641 on-site reviews and 4.1 from a handful of Trustpilot reviews. Expect comfortable 4-way stretch fabrics and sensible winter layers rather than premium technical kit. The odd complaint is a seam coming apart, and reviewers say those were replaced quickly.

Where can I buy Swing Out Sister in the UK?

Mainly direct from swingoutsistergolf.com, with click-and-collect at its Uckfield HQ. Online, GolfGarb and Eureka Golf also list the range, and the brand says it sells through golf club pro shops and resorts. The big chains, including American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf and GolfOnline, don't currently stock it.
