Honest Chervò Golf Clothing Review 2026 | Three Putt Golf

We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

Born on the ski slopes of the Dolomites, dressed for golf in Italian style. Serious fabric tech, fashion-house prices.
How We Review Golf Clothing Brands
Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.
Verdict: 7.4/10
Chervò is a family-founded Italian golf apparel brand that began as a Dolomites ski label in 1982 and moved into golf in the 1990s. We liked its proprietary fabric tech, including 20,000mm Aqua-Block waterproofs, its merino-cashmere knitwear, a full women's range and official Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup licences.
The tour story is current, too. Team Chervò's Jenny Shin won the 2026 Women's Scottish Open in July, and an official 2027 Ryder Cup capsule landed in August.
Where it falls short for UK golfers: it's expensive, with full-price polos at £118.72–£149.47 and jackets at £281.00–£340.79. UK orders ship duties-unpaid, returns carry a €65 fee, and we couldn't find it at any of the big UK golf retailers.
This brand is best for golfers who want Italian styling and genuine weather tech, have the budget, and are happy to shop the sale or a UK stockist.
Chervò not the right brand for you? Check out our comprehensive list of the best Chervò Golf alternatives.
Key Features
- Signature tech/fabric: A proprietary suite: Aqua-Block waterproofing, Wind-Lock windproofing, Pro-Therm insulation, Dry-Matic wicking, Sunblock UV protection and Aqua-Drop water repellency, plus 2-way and 4-way stretch
- Design language: Italian tailoring with ski-outerwear roots; the Fall-Winter 2026 "Perfect Swing" collection runs on browns, beige, cream and navy with orange and acid-green accents
- Fit profile: Tailored, with slim, regular and loose cuts in the size guide, and UK sizes shown on the UK site
- Range depth: Men's, women's and junior lines: polos, knitwear, vests, softshells, padded and waterproof jackets, trousers, shorts, dresses, skirts and accessories
Pros
- Fabric tech with real numbers behind it: Aqua-Block waterproofs are rated at over 20,000mm
- Genuinely premium materials, from merino-cashmere knitwear to Made in Italy wool beanies
- Current team credibility: Jenny Shin's 2026 Scottish Open win, plus Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup licences
- A full women's range, including dresses, skirts and waterproof trousers in UK 6–20
Cons
- Expensive at full price: polos £118.72–£149.47, jackets £281.00–£340.79
- UK orders ship duties-unpaid, so import charges can arrive with the courier
- A €65 (about £56) return fee, and no direct exchanges
- Hard to find in UK shops: no listings at American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf or GolfOnline
Chervò Golf Pricing
Chervò prices like a luxury house. The UK site charges in pounds, but the odd pence suggest euro list prices converted at the till. Full-price men's polos run £118.72–£149.47, knitwear £187.05–£209.26, trousers £169.97–£229.76 and jackets £281.00–£340.79. Shipping to the UK starts at €14.50 (about £12), and import charges aren't included.
| Category | Entry | Typical | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polos/Tops | £118.72 | £127.26–£132.39 | £149.47 |
| Midlayers | £187.05 | £195.59–£209.26 | £289.55 |
| Trousers/Shorts | £127.26 | £178.51–£187.05 | £255.38 |
| Outerwear | £281.00 | £298.09 | £340.79 |
| Caps/Accessories | £23.06 | £33.31–£58.08 | £83.70 |
Chervò UK site prices, October 2026 (full price unless noted): Alamo long-sleeve polo £118.72, Arborio polo £127.26, Avanzo polo £132.39, Anima printed polo £149.47; Nitrato merino-cashmere knitted polo £187.05, Nanchino half-zip sweater £195.59, Nador polo-collar sweater £209.26, Naim knit vest £289.55; Steimberg trousers £169.97, Sorga softshell trousers £178.51, Sylvestre Wind-Lock trousers £229.76, Supersonic Aqua-Block over-trousers £255.38, shorts £127.26–£169.97 list (all currently reduced); Masterpiece Aqua-Block jacket £281.00, Miller softshell jacket £298.09, Manuel and Mario padded jackets £340.79; golf towel £23.06, fleece beanie £33.31, Wuzio Aqua-Block hat £58.08, Winery bucket hat £83.70.
Comparison:
- Chervò vs Three Putt: Opposite ends of the market. Chervò sells Italian tailoring and proprietary fabric tech, with polos from about £119 and jackets near £300. Three Putt is a UK brand with tees from £24.99, heavyweight hoodies at £45.99–£54.99 and free UK delivery. One is a wardrobe investment; the other leaves money for green fees.
- Chervò vs Bogner: Two luxury houses that started on the slopes. Bogner, the Munich ski-fashion name, leans further into fashion. Chervò leans harder on its own named fabric technologies and golf-specific outerwear.
- Chervò vs KJUS: Another ski-to-golf brand, founded by Olympic champion Lasse Kjus. KJUS reads sportier and more minimal; Chervò is the more tailored, Italian-styled choice, with a deeper knitwear and women's offer.
- Chervò vs Galvin Green: If waterproofs are the point, the Swedish Gore-Tex specialist is the obvious rival and far easier to buy in UK shops. Chervò answers with its own Aqua-Block membrane and wraps far more knitwear and tailoring around it.
Promos/Outlet Notes: The UK site runs a sale on older-season pieces at 30% off: the Asparago polo is £86.69, down from £123.85. The outlet goes to 50% off, with the Mandurino padded jacket at £170.40, down from £340.79. Newsletter sign-ups get 10% off a first order. UK stockist Teepeg has the Marduck waterproof jacket at £149, down from £199. Free shipping over €250 is advertised for Europe, but the UK isn't spelled out.
Verdict: 6.0/10
Prices have climbed since the summer, and full price is hard to justify once UK import charges and a €65 return fee are added. The 30–50% sale and outlet markdowns are where Chervò starts to make sense.
Chervò Golf Fit & Sizing (Usability)
Chervò cuts a tailored European silhouette, but it isn't one-size-fits-all slim. The size guide lists slim, regular and loose fits, each 2cm apart across the half-chest. The UK site shows UK sizes, with a conversion table to Italian, French, German and US sizing.
Notes:
- Polos/Tops: Men's run UK 36–48, which Chervò maps to Italian 46–58 and US XS–XXL. On one polo page, a 188cm model wears UK 40, a US medium. Golf Monthly's 6ft 3in tester found XL "spot on".
- Midlayers: Merino-cashmere knits and vests come in the same UK 36–48 run and layer neatly under a shell.
- Trousers/Shorts: Men's trousers run UK 30–42, with 83–89cm inside legs on the size chart. The Supersonic over-trousers go to UK 46.
- Outerwear: Waterproof, padded and softshell jackets use the men's UK 36–48 run, cut close with stretch for the swing.
- Heat/Humidity: Dry-Matic polos handle warm rounds; Pro-Therm brushed jerseys and padding cover the cold.
- Size Charts: Detailed centimetre charts by fit, plus garment measurements on product pages, using men's size 48 and women's size 42 as the baseline.
Accessibility/Range:
- Men's tops stop at UK 48 (US XXL); there's no 3XL.
- Women's polos run UK 8–20, and the waterproof trousers UK 6–20.
- A junior line exists alongside the men's and women's collections.
Verdict: 7.5/10
UK labels, three defined fits and proper centimetre charts make Chervò easier to size than its reputation suggests. Bigger golfers will run out of room at XXL.
Chervò Golf Core Product Categories
Polos & Tops
The core of the range. Current men's polos cost £118.72–£149.47, from the Alamo stretch-piqué long-sleeve polo with Dry-Matic to the Anima brushed-jersey polo with an in-house print. Women's polos start at £115.31 for the Azulene. Golf Monthly called an earlier Chervò polo "a super-premium product from the fashionistas in Italy". The quality case is strong; the full-price value case is weaker.
Verdict: 8.0/10

Midlayers (sweaters/knits/vests)
This is where Chervò feels most Italian. The Nitrato knitted polo (£187.05), Nanchino half-zip (£195.59) and Nador polo-collar sweater (£209.26) are all merino wool and cashmere blends. The Naim vest (£289.55) pairs a wool-blend knit with a Wind-Lock windproof lining. Beautiful, and priced accordingly.
Verdict: 7.9/10
Trousers/Shorts
Technical rather than just smart. The Sorga (£178.51) is a two-layer softshell with Pro-Therm and a brushed inner face, and the Sylvestre (£229.76) adds Wind-Lock and Aqua-Drop. The Steimberg (£169.97) uses a Made in Italy stretch dobby fabric. Shorts list at £127.26–£169.97 and are all reduced right now. Expensive for trousers, but genuinely built for UK shoulder seasons.
Verdict: 7.6/10

Outerwear
The brand's ski DNA shows most here. The Masterpiece (£281.00) is a two-layer Aqua-Block waterproof, rated at over 20,000mm, with matching Supersonic over-trousers (£255.38). Padded Manuel and Mario jackets (£340.79) combine Pro-Therm, Wind-Lock and Aqua-Drop, and the Miller (£298.09) is a three-layer softshell. Real weather kit with a luxury finish, at real luxury prices.
Verdict: 8.2/10

Caps & Accessories
Winter-focused right now: fleece beanies (£33.31), wool and cashmere beanies (£54.66), an Aqua-Block waterproof hat (£58.08) and a matelassé bucket hat (£83.70). Several of the knit pieces are labelled Made in Italy. A golf towel at £23.06 is the cheapest way into the brand, and UK stockist Love Golf Clothes carries the XMagic winter gloves at £54.99.
Verdict: 7.3/10
Chervò Golf Materials & Tech (Construction, Sustainability)
This is Chervò's real differentiator: a named suite of fabric technologies rather than vague performance language. Transparency on where garments are made, and on sustainability, lags well behind the fabric story.
Backend (manufacturing & standards):
- Chervò S.p.A. has its registered office in Castelrotto in the Dolomites and its headquarters at Costermano sul Garda, near Verona, with a US office in Palm Beach.
- It sells in more than 40 countries through over 700 points of sale, according to its own about page.
- Most apparel pages don't state a country of manufacture. Some knit accessories are labelled Made in Italy, and some trousers and jackets use Italian-made fabric.
- A few pieces carry a "Recycle" tag, such as the Mario padded jacket, but there's no wider sustainability programme on the site.
Application (on-garment features):
- Aqua-Block: a laminated membrane with taped seams; current jackets and over-trousers are rated at over 20,000mm.
- Wind-Lock and Pro-Therm: windproof layers and lightweight thermal insulation, often combined in padded jackets and vests.
- Dry-Matic and Sunblock: moisture management for summer polos, and a titanium-based UV-A and UV-B filter.
- Aqua-Drop: a water- and stain-repellent finish for showers rather than downpours.
- Stretch: 2-way and 4-way stretch fabrics across polos, trousers and jackets.
Verdict: 7.9/10
One of the deepest proprietary fabric suites in golf, and it delivers. Unclear manufacturing origin and a thin sustainability story keep it from the top marks.
Chervò Golf Customer Support
Chervò runs a tidy direct operation from Italy, but UK buyers now fall outside the EU's duty-paid shipping. That makes the small print on duties and returns matter more than it used to.
Channels & Hours
- A website contact form and email to help@chervo.com, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm Italian time (7.30am to 4.30pm UK time).
- No phone line or live chat is listed on the contact page.
- Payment by Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Maestro, PayPal or Alipay.
Policies
- Returns within 30 days of delivery through an online returns portal, with tags attached and in a sealed parcel.
- The UK store's returns page says return shipping is on you, and sets a €65 return fee covering shipping, duties and customs.
- There are no direct exchanges: you return the item and place a new order.
- Chervò's terms say orders outside the EU ship DDU, so the courier may ask for import VAT and duties before delivery.
Self-Serve
- Orders are dispatched within one working day by UPS; the delivery page quotes economy shipping to the UK from €14.50, in 5–7 working days.
- UK stockists are few: Love Golf Clothes carries women's pieces, and Teepeg lists a handful of discounted items.
Verdict: 5.8/10
Fast dispatch and clear centimetre size charts help, but duties-unpaid delivery, a €65 return fee and almost no UK high-street presence make buying direct a gamble on fit.
What Are Chervò's Review Ratings from Review Sites?
(As of October 2026)
- Trustpilot: Effectively unrated. The unclaimed profile has a single review, a five-star note from a German buyer in September 2026, and a TrustScore of 3.7.
- Editorial: Golf Monthly's review of the Anyone polo said it "feels very premium and well made", with sizing that matched expectations. GolfPass covered Kurt Kitayama winning the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational in Chervò, the brand's first PGA Tour win.
- Tour & Licences: Team Chervò lists Matteo Manassero, Francesco Laporta, Andrea Pavan, Gregorio De Leo, Jenny Shin, Emma Spitz, Alessandra Fanali and Alexandra Försterling. Jenny Shin won the 2026 Women's Scottish Open at Dundonald Links, and Chervò is an official Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup licensee.
- Social: About 29,000 Instagram followers on @chervo.official.
Synthesis:
Where Chervò is reviewed, the quality verdict is consistent: premium, well made and flattering. There's almost no independent customer-review base in the UK, so you're trusting editorial reviews, the tour roster and the fabric specs rather than a crowd of buyers.
Is Chervò a Good Golf Brand?
Yes, at the product level. Chervò makes genuinely premium golf clothing, with real Aqua-Block weather protection, beautiful merino-cashmere knitwear, a full women's range and a current tour winner in Jenny Shin. For UK golfers, though, the buying experience drags the score down: higher prices, duties-unpaid delivery, a €65 return fee and almost no UK stockists. Buy it in the sale, from a UK retailer where you can, and know your size first. If you'd rather spend on golf-culture clothing from a UK brand with free UK delivery, Three Putt's golf tees and heavyweight hoodies start at £24.99. Frequently Asked Questions About Chervò
Who owns Chervò?
Chervò S.p.A. is an Italian company founded in 1982 by brothers Manfred and Peter Erlacher. Manfred has led the business as CEO, and Peter, a former Italian national-team skier, as Chief Design Officer. It started as a ski apparel brand in the Dolomites and moved into golf in the early 1990s, beginning with waterproof rainwear.
Where is Chervò based and made?
Chervò's headquarters are at Costermano sul Garda, near Verona, with its registered office in Castelrotto in the Dolomites. Most apparel pages don't say where garments are made. Some knit accessories are labelled Made in Italy, and some trousers and jackets use Italian-made fabric. If origin matters to you, check the label or ask customer service.
Is Chervò a luxury brand?
Yes. On the UK site, full-price polos cost £118.72–£149.47, merino-cashmere knitwear £187.05–£209.26 and jackets £281.00–£340.79. That puts it alongside the names in our luxury golf brands guide. The sale and outlet, at 30–50% off older-season pieces, are the realistic way in for most golfers.
Do any professional golfers wear Chervò?
Yes. Team Chervò includes Matteo Manassero, Francesco Laporta, Andrea Pavan and Gregorio De Leo, plus Jenny Shin, Emma Spitz, Alessandra Fanali and Alexandra Försterling. Jenny Shin won the 2026 Women's Scottish Open at Dundonald Links. Kurt Kitayama won the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational in Chervò, the brand's first PGA Tour title.
How does Chervò sizing run?
The UK site shows UK sizes. Men's tops run UK 36–48, equal to Italian 46–58 or US XS–XXL. Men's trousers run UK 30–42, and women's polos UK 8–20. The size guide lists slim, regular and loose fits, so check the product page and the centimetre chart before ordering.
Does Chervò ship to the UK, and will I pay duties?
Yes. Orders are dispatched within one working day by UPS, and the delivery page quotes economy shipping to the UK from €14.50 in 5–7 working days. Chervò's terms say non-EU orders ship DDU. That means the courier may ask you to pay import VAT and duties before delivery, and Chervò says it can't predict the amount.
What is Chervò's return policy?
You have 30 days from delivery to start a return online, with tags attached and the parcel sealed. The UK store's returns page says return shipping is on you, with a €65 return fee covering shipping, duties and customs. There are no direct exchanges: return the item and place a new order.
Where can I buy Chervò in the UK?
Mainly direct from chervo.com. We couldn't find Chervò at American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf or GolfOnline. Love Golf Clothes stocks women's pieces, such as the Amarti winter polo at £109.99. Teepeg lists a few discounted items, including the Marduck waterproof jacket at £149.
What are Chervò's fabric technologies?
Chervò's proprietary suite includes Aqua-Block, a laminated waterproof membrane with taped seams, and Wind-Lock windproofing. Pro-Therm adds lightweight insulation, Dry-Matic manages moisture, and Sunblock uses a titanium-based UV filter. Aqua-Drop is a water-repellent finish, and 2-way and 4-way stretch fabrics run across the range.
