We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

A Minnesota brand of duck-blind polos and feature-packed hats against a Leeds streetwear label that sells four cotton garments. One is built for the buddies' trip, the other for everything after the round.
How We Review Golf Clothing Brands
Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.
Verdict and Quick Pick
Waggle Golf is a Minnesota brand of loud printed polos, hats, trousers and layers for men, women and children, priced in US dollars. Three Putt is a Leeds golf streetwear brand selling long-sleeves and heavyweight cotton tees, sweatshirts and hoodies from £24.99. Pick Waggle for on-course personality and Three Putt for golf style off the course.
Best for golf style off the course, delivered free in the UK: Three Putt. Heavyweight cotton tees, sweatshirts and hoodies with golf graphics, priced in pounds, with nothing above £54.99. It is casual wear, not performance kit.
Best for loud polos, hats and family golf trips: Waggle Golf. Most of its polos list at $69, its Repel hats are packed with golf features, and it dresses men, women and children in the same prints. UK buyers pay $9.99 shipping and their own return postage.

Brand Overview
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt is a UK golf streetwear brand based in Leeds. The range is deliberately narrow: tees, long-sleeve tees, sweatshirts and hoodies.
Each garment comes in six graphic designs: Contours, Happy Place, Tee Time, Reckless Driving, The Scenic Route and Three on the Green. The idea is golf culture you can wear anywhere, not a full on-course wardrobe.
That brings honest limits. The range has no performance polos, trousers, shorts, outerwear, waterproofs or caps, and no women's-specific line. If your club has a collared-shirt dress code, you will want a polo rather than a tee.
Waggle Golf
Waggle began in 2018 with an idea at a Jimmy Buffett concert. Founder Travis Baker watched a crowd of Parrotheads in loud tropical shirts and wondered why golfers didn't dress with the same sense of fun. He started selling polos and hats from his basement and went full time in 2021.
Waggle is based in Blaine, Minnesota, where a new headquarters, warehouse and flagship store opened in late 2025. It also runs stores in Maple Grove, Minnesota, and Coralville, Iowa. In January 2026 it signed Chandler Phillips as its first PGA Tour golfer.
In October 2026 its store listed 445 products across men's, women's and youth ranges, and hats made up roughly a third of them. The prints lean on Midwestern outdoor life, with collections called In The Hunt, Gone Fishing, Lake Life, Western and On The Farm.
The store showed a UK visitor prices in US dollars in October 2026, and its country selector offers the United Kingdom in pounds.

Key Features and Fabrics
Three Putt Golf
- Tees: 100% cotton, 305gsm, relaxed fit, S–2XL, five colourways per design.
- Long-sleeve tees: 305gsm, 100% cotton, oversized drop-shoulder fit, S–XL.
- Sweatshirts: 400gsm cotton crewneck, regular fit, S–2XL.
- Hoodies: 430gsm, 56% cotton / 44% polyester, oversized drop-shoulder fit, S–2XL, four colourways per design.
These are heavyweight casual garments, not technical performance wear. Do not expect moisture-wicking, stretch fabric or weather protection.
Waggle Golf
- Polos: classic, hybrid and women's sleeveless styles in a polyester-spandex blend with an athletic fit. Waggle sells them as ultra-breathable, moisture-wicking and anti-wrinkle.
- Tees: graphic tees with a relaxed unisex fit, described as "heavyweight soft", plus long-sleeve versions.
- Layers: Twilight and Sunday quarter-zips, UPF 50+ Featherlight hoodies, Core and Zenith Zip hoodies, sherpa pullovers and Wildknit crewneck sweaters.
- Bottoms: the Ace Pant, a polyester-spandex chino with made-to-move stretch and a silicone-gripped waistband. Greenside joggers, three styles of golf shorts and women's skorts sit alongside it.
- Hats: snapbacks, plus the Repel line in water-resistant polyester with perforated panels, a floating brim, a magnetic ball-marker holder and a tee holder.
- Outerwear: the Endeavor and Playmaker jackets and the Albatross anorak, which is water-resistant and packs into itself.
Two gaps stand out. Product pages name each fabric blend but give no percentages. And for all the jackets, nothing in the range is sold as waterproof.
Price Comparison
| Category | Three Putt | Waggle Golf (US list prices) |
|---|---|---|
| Tees | £24.99–£30.99 | $39 (about £30) graphic tees |
| Long-sleeve tees | £28.99–£35.99 | $39 (about £30) |
| Hoodies, sweatshirts and sweaters | Hoodies £45.99–£54.99; sweatshirts £37.99–£47.99 | Men's hoodies $59–$99 (about £45–£76); Wildknit sweaters $99 (about £76) |
| Polos | Not in the range | Mostly $69 (about £53), with a few at $74–$79 |
| Quarter-zips | Not in the range | $79–$84 (about £61–£65) |
| Trousers and shorts | Not in the range | Golf shorts $59–$75 (about £45–£58); Ace Pant $92 (about £71) |
| Jackets and waterproofs | Not in the range | Jackets $99–$139 (about £76–£107); no waterproofs |
| Caps | Not in the range | Snapbacks $35 (about £27); Repel hats $59 (about £45) |
| Delivery to a UK address | Free | Flat $9.99 (about £8) |
Waggle prices are the full US-dollar list prices on its store in October 2026, converted at about $1.30 to the pound. They exclude the $9.99 shipping. Waggle's shipping policy says that on orders above $200, the customer pays any additional taxes and duties.
A single $69 polo lands at about £61 once the $9.99 is added. A single $39 tee lands at about £38, against £24.99–£30.99 for a Three Putt tee delivered free.
Price Verdict
Where the two ranges overlap, Three Putt is usually cheaper once shipping is added. Its dearest item, a £54.99 hoodie, costs less than Waggle's $84 Core hoodie before shipping. Waggle wins on polos, though: $69 for a printed performance polo is keen pricing for this style of brand. For trousers, shorts, quarter-zips and caps, Waggle is the only option of the two.
Fit and Sizing
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt runs S–2XL across the range, except the oversized long-sleeves, which run S–XL. Tees have a relaxed fit, long-sleeves a loose drop shoulder and sweatshirts a regular fit. Hoodies are oversized with a drop shoulder, so size down if you want a closer look.
Waggle Golf
Waggle's FAQ says its apparel "is athletic fit and runs true to size". Reviewers note it can run slightly snug, and Independent Golf Reviews found the sizing on the slightly smaller side in its spring 2026 review. If you're between sizes, size up.
The size range is wide. Men's polos run S–3XL, and men's tees, hoodies and quarter-zips XS–3XL. Women's tops run XS–2XL. The Ace Pant comes in 20 waist and leg combinations, from 30x28 to 42x34. Hats fit heads up to 7¾.
Fit Verdict
Waggle wins on choice: XS and 3XL in most men's tops, numeric trouser sizes and a full women's range. Three Putt is roomier and cut for streetwear shapes, but it stops at 2XL. Getting a Waggle size wrong costs international postage, so check the size chart first.
Style and Versatility
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt is golf streetwear: golf-themed graphics on heavyweight cotton, cut in relaxed and oversized shapes. A Three Putt hoodie works for a casual range session, the pub after a round or a weekend layer. It is not the right top for a members' competition at a traditional club.
Waggle Golf
Waggle is loud on purpose. Its own line is that "compliments come free with purchase", and the polos have names like Fowl Play, Deer Stand, Rack Star and Rough Rider.
That suits a buddies' trip or a relaxed club perfectly. Because the polos have proper collars, they meet a collared-shirt rule. Whether a duck-blind print suits your club is a separate question, so check its golf dress code first. Families get extra mileage, because men's, women's and youth ranges share many of the same prints.
Off the course, Waggle leans into lake-cabin style: graphic tees, flannel overshirts, sherpa pullovers and knit sweaters.
Style Verdict
Waggle is the more complete golf look, from first tee to clubhouse, with prints you either love or don't. Three Putt is the better fit for everyday streetwear with a golf accent. Pick Waggle for sunny rounds with your mates, and Three Putt for cold mornings, the pub and the car park.

Quality, Durability and Sustainability
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt's quality story is weight. Tees are 305gsm cotton, sweatshirts are 400gsm and hoodies are 430gsm. On sustainability, Three Putt makes no recycled-content or eco claims. Its tees are 100% cotton.
Waggle Golf
Waggle's strengths are on the garment itself. Polos are sold as breathable, moisture-wicking and anti-wrinkle, the Outpost button-downs carry UPF 40+, and the Featherlight hoodies and women's Refresh quarter-zips carry UPF 50+.
Our Waggle Golf review found product reviews consistently strong on fabric, stitching and especially hats. The weak spot is disclosure, with no fabric percentages given.
On sustainability, Waggle publishes no sustainability programme or certifications. Its product listings make no recycled or organic fabric claims.
Quality Verdict
Waggle wins on technical features: wicking polos, UPF ratings and genuinely clever hats. Three Putt wins on heavyweight cotton at a low price. Neither makes a sustainability case, so that part is a draw. Neither makes waterproofs either, so for wet rounds see our guide to the best waterproof golf clothing.
Customer Support and Returns
Three Putt Golf
Delivery is free across the UK. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Email support@threeputtgolfclothing.co.uk first, and note that you pay the return postage. Support is by email.
Waggle Golf
Waggle's contact page lists a phone line, 651-313-5961, open 8am to 4pm US Central time. That is roughly 2pm to 10pm in the UK. Email goes to support@getyourwaggleon.com.
International orders pay a flat $9.99, and Waggle asks you to allow up to two business days for dispatch from Blaine. On orders above $200, taxes and duties are yours, so smaller baskets are simpler.
The refund policy is generous on time. You have 45 days from receiving an item to request a return or exchange, as long as it is unworn with tags. International returns and exchanges are accepted, but you pay the postage back to Minnesota. US customers get free exchanges, so the domestic deal is better than yours.
Waggle's pages also mention a $6.00 handling fee on returns, though they disagree on whether it applies outside the US. Ask support before you send anything back.
Support Verdict
Waggle has the longer returns window and a phone line, which Three Putt doesn't offer. For a UK buyer, though, Three Putt is simpler: prices in pounds, free delivery and a short trip back for any return.
Our Pick
Buy Waggle if you want personality on the course. Its $69 polos are well priced for printed performance kit, the Repel hats are packed with practical golf features, and the Ace Pant and golf shorts complete the outfit. It is also the obvious choice for matching family kit. Budget $9.99 for shipping, keep orders under $200 if you can, and size carefully. Our full Waggle Golf review covers the range in more detail.
Buy Three Putt if you want golf style for everywhere else, delivered free in the UK. Heavyweight tees from £24.99, long-sleeve tees, sweatshirts and hoodies under £55 cover the walk to the first tee and the pub after. If your club requires a collar, you will want a polo rather than a tee.
Plenty of golfers will happily own both: a Waggle polo for the summer trip and a Three Putt hoodie for the drive home. For more US labels and how they handle UK orders, see our guide to American golf brands.

Frequently Asked Questions About Three Putt vs Waggle Golf
Is Three Putt a good alternative to Waggle Golf?
For off-course style, yes. Three Putt sells long-sleeves and heavyweight tees, sweatshirts and hoodies from £24.99, with free UK delivery. It is not a like-for-like swap, though. Waggle is built on printed polos and hats, and the Three Putt range has no caps, trousers or waterproofs, and no technical wicking fabrics.
Does Waggle Golf ship to the UK?
Yes. Waggle charges a flat $9.99 (about £8) on international orders, and its country selector offers the United Kingdom in pounds. On orders above $200, the customer pays any additional taxes and duties. Orders ship from Blaine, Minnesota, and Waggle asks you to allow up to two business days for dispatch.
Which is better on the course?
Waggle. Its polos use a polyester-spandex blend sold as moisture-wicking and anti-wrinkle, they meet a collared-shirt rule, and it makes golf trousers, shorts and UPF layers. Neither brand makes waterproofs. Three Putt's cotton tees and hoodies suit a relaxed round at an easy-going club, but offer no performance fabric.
Is Three Putt good quality?
Three Putt's quality case rests on fabric weight. Tees are 305gsm 100% cotton, sweatshirts are 400gsm cotton and hoodies are 430gsm cotton/polyester. That is substantial for casual wear at £24.99–£54.99. Waggle offers more technical fabrics, but publishes no fabric percentages, and a $69 polo costs more than any Three Putt tee.
Does Waggle Golf run small?
Waggle says its apparel is athletic fit and runs true to size. Reviewers note it can run slightly snug, so size up if you're between sizes. Its polos and Sunday quarter-zips are athletic cuts, while its tees, Core hoodies and Wildknit sweaters are relaxed fits. Three Putt cuts are roomier throughout, with oversized hoodies and relaxed tees.
Which is better off the course?
Waggle's off-course range leans into cabin and lake life, with graphic tees, flannel overshirts, sherpa pullovers and knit sweaters. Three Putt is golf streetwear, with heavyweight cotton and golf graphics. For the pub, a winter weekend or a gift priced in pounds, Three Putt is the easier pick.
Are Waggle Golf and Three Putt sustainable?
Neither makes much of a sustainability case. Waggle publishes no sustainability programme or certifications, and its product listings make no recycled or organic fabric claims. Three Putt makes no recycled-content or eco claims; its tees are 100% cotton.
Which is better value?
For tees and hoodies, Three Putt. Its whole range sits between £24.99 and £54.99 with free UK delivery, while a single $39 Waggle tee lands at about £38 with shipping. For polos, Waggle is good value at $69 (about £53). For trousers, shorts and hats, only Waggle makes them.
