Exploring the brands golfers turn to when the shirt is covered in pheasants and the return label is your problem.

How We Review Golf Clothing Brands

Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.

Top Picks

  1. Breezy Golf: Best overall alternative, sold in pounds by a UK distributor
  2. Rhoback: Best for premium performance polos priced in pounds
  3. Fore Bros Clothing: Best for British creator golfwear dispatched within 24 hours
  4. Three Putt Golf: Best for golf streetwear off the course
  5. Barstool Golf: Best for US golf merch with duties settled at checkout
  6. Stromberg Golf: Best for the waterproofs Waggle doesn't make
  7. Quiet Golf: Best for golf clothes that say nothing at all

Why People Look Beyond Waggle Golf

UK golfers look beyond Waggle for three reasons. Its prints lean on hunting, fishing and farm life, which suits a Minnesota lake more than a British members' club. Any return or exchange goes back to Minnesota at your cost. And it sells no waterproofs, the layer that decides whether you play here in October.

Waggle Golf began in 2018 after a Jimmy Buffett concert. Travis Baker looked at a crowd of Parrotheads in loud tropical shirts and wondered why nobody dressed like that for golf. He put his self-taught graphic design skills to work and sold the first polos and hats from his basement.

It has grown up fast. Waggle now runs three stores of its own in Minnesota and Iowa, including a flagship at its Blaine headquarters, which opened in late 2025. Waggle says it is sold in all 50 US states. In October 2026 most polos listed at $69 (about £53), and international shipping was a flat $9.99.

That makes it one of the easier American print brands to buy from here. The catches come later. Customers pay their own postage on international returns and exchanges, and on orders over $200 the taxes and duties are yours too. Waggle says its apparel is athletic fit and true to size, but reviewers say it can run slightly snug.

Then there is the look. The collections are called In The Hunt, Gone Fishing, Lake Life, Western and On The Farm, and the polos carry names like Fowl Play, Deer Stand, Rack Star and Rough Rider. That is taste rather than fault. Product descriptions also give no fabric percentages, and there is nothing waterproof in the range.

Here are seven alternatives, ranked by how well each one fills the gaps Waggle leaves for a British buyer.

Detailed Breakdown by Brand

Breezy Golf: Best overall alternative, sold in pounds by a UK distributor

Available on: breezygolf.com · Read our full Breezy Golf review

Key Features:

  • Launched in 2022 with Doing Things Media, the company behind the Bob Does Sports channel
  • Founded by Robby Berger, with Bob Does Sports regulars Joey Demare and Fat Perez on board
  • Polos in 92% polyester with "Anti Lobster" UPF 50+ sun protection, mostly sized SM–5XL
  • Co-branded collections for THE PLAYERS, the U.S. Open and the WM Phoenix Open, under the "Have A Day" motto

Pros:

  • Cloud 18 Golf is the official UK distributor: polos at £65 in October 2026, free UK delivery over £50 and 30-day returns
  • Returns go to a UK retailer, not back across the Atlantic
  • Polos run to 5XL on its own store, two sizes beyond Waggle's 3XL
  • The same drinks-and-mates humour, minus the deer stands and duck blinds

Cons:

  • No women's line, where Waggle sells women's and youth ranges, including skorts and dresses
  • No trousers, just two shorts styles, against Waggle's Ace Pant, Greenside joggers and sweatpants
  • No sustainability page or certifications

Verdict:

Breezy is the American character brand that solved UK distribution properly. A £65 Cloud 18 polo costs more than Waggle's $69 (about £53), but the return stays in the UK. Waggle out-ranges it on women's, youth and trousers, so this swaps the shirt rather than the wardrobe.

Rhoback: Best for premium performance polos priced in pounds

Available on: rhoback.com · Read our full Rhoback review

Key Features:

  • Founded in 2016 in Charlottesville, Virginia, by Kevin Hubbard and Kristina and Matthew Loftus
  • Revenue passed $150 million in 2025, and a minority investment of nearly $50 million from CHAMP was announced in June 2026
  • Performance polos in 92% polyester and 8% spandex, rated UPF 40–50+, in S–3XL
  • A licensed collegiate collection covering 78 US colleges

Pros:

  • A UK storefront in pounds, with men's polos at £73–£82 and Q-Zips at £98–£113 in October 2026
  • Flat $24 (about £18) international shipping
  • Fabric percentages on product pages, where Waggle's descriptions give none

Cons:

  • Polos at £73–£82 cost well above a $69 (about £53) Waggle polo
  • Customs and VAT come on top, and there are no return labels outside the US
  • Some of the spandex-heavy Q-Zips run small

Verdict:

Rhoback is the upgrade rather than the swap: plainer, well-rated polos priced in pounds, at a clear premium. Like Waggle, it leaves return postage to you, so check the size guide before you order.

Fore Bros Clothing: Best for British creator golfwear dispatched within 24 hours

Available on: forebrosclothing.com · Read our full Fore Bros review

Key Features:

  • Launched in summer 2025 by the Moloney brothers, whose Fore Bros Golf YouTube channel had about 315,000 subscribers in October 2026
  • Garments designed by Dan Freebairn, who has worked with Size? and adidas
  • Polos, tees, half zips, hoodies, a windbreaker, rope caps and beanies
  • Free UK delivery over £50, with orders dispatched within 24 hours on working days

Pros:

  • Polos list at £45–£50 (October 2026), including the Tour Polo in 88% polyester and 12% spandex, below a $69 (about £53) Waggle polo
  • A domestic return to Leicester, not a parcel back to Minnesota
  • Rope caps at £35 cover the hat side of Waggle's appeal, priced in pounds

Cons:

  • No trousers, shorts or women's range, against Waggle's men's, women's and youth lines
  • Returns run to 14 days with no exchanges, and sale items can't be returned
  • Core sizing tops out at XXL, one size short of Waggle's 3XL

Verdict:

Fore Bros is the closest thing Britain has to Waggle's basement-to-brand story, except it posts from inside the country. The range is a fraction of the size and the 14-day window is tight. Nothing here costs you international postage, though.

Three Putt Golf: Best for golf streetwear off the course

Available on: threeputtgolfclothing.co.uk · Read our full Waggle vs Three Putt comparison

Key Features:

  • A UK golf streetwear brand based in Leeds, selling six graphic designs across its streetwear: Contours, Happy Place, Tee Time, Reckless Driving, The Scenic Route and Three on the Green
  • Tees in 100% cotton at 305gsm, relaxed fit, S–2XL, £24.99–£30.99, in five colourways per design
  • Hoodies at 430gsm (56% cotton, 44% polyester), oversized drop-shoulder fit, S–2XL, £45.99–£54.99
  • Sweatshirts in 400gsm cotton at £37.99–£47.99, and long-sleeve tees at 305gsm for £28.99–£35.99

Pros:

  • Priced in pounds, with free UK delivery and no $200 duty line to watch
  • Tees from £24.99 and hoodies from £45.99, against Waggle's $59–$99 (about £45–£76) hoodies
  • Heavyweight hoodies and sweatshirts for the clubhouse and the drive home

Cons:

  • No performance polos, trousers or outerwear, so the rest of your golf kit comes from elsewhere
  • Cotton streetwear, not technical kit: no wicking, stretch or weather claims
  • Returns within 14 days of delivery, emailing support first, with return postage at the customer's cost

Verdict:

Waggle is built on loud printed polos and hats, which Three Putt doesn't do, so this is a partial swap. It covers the hoodie and sweatshirt half of a Waggle order, priced in pounds with free UK delivery. Wear it to and from the course, not as your on-course kit.

Barstool Golf: Best for US golf merch with duties settled at checkout

Available on: store.barstoolsports.com · Read our full Barstool Golf review

Key Features:

  • The golf arm of Barstool Sports, built around the Fore Play podcast, which PGA Tour winner Kevin Kisner joined full time in March 2026
  • More than 150 golf products in October 2026, roughly half of them hats and tees
  • $70 performance polos in 86% polyester and 14% spandex, with $80 quarter-zips
  • An adidas Ultimate365 capsule, including $95 tapered golf trousers

Pros:

  • Duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, so nothing is owed on delivery
  • Polos at $70 (about £54) cost the same as Waggle's
  • Much of the kit comes from proper makers: adidas for the performance capsule, '47 for many of the hats

Cons:

  • Up to two weeks before dispatch, then 8–14 business days by FedEx, with a flat $29.95 (about £23) UK shipping fee
  • UK returns are refund-only, posted at your cost to Ohio, and duties aren't refunded
  • No golf shorts and no women's golf line, where Waggle sells both

Verdict:

Barstool is the other American brand that takes a UK order without drama, and settling duties at checkout removes the doorstep surprise. It is slower than Waggle, costs three times as much to ship and won't exchange. Buy it for the podcast, and get your size right first time.

Stromberg Golf: Best for the waterproofs Waggle doesn't make

Available on: americangolf.co.uk · Read our full Stromberg Golf review

Key Features:

  • A British golf brand owned by American Golf since 2019, sold almost exclusively through its shops and website
  • Men's polos at £29.99–£49.99, Hampton trousers at £49.99 and Weather Tech trousers at £59.99
  • Bandit waterproofs: a £99.99 jacket rated to 20,000mm and £69.99 trousers
  • DP World Tour winner Andy Sullivan signed a two-year deal in January 2026

Pros:

  • Proper waterproofs, the category missing from Waggle's range
  • Around 80 American Golf stores to try things on, with free returns in store
  • Many men's lines run S–5XL, and trousers come in 30–46 waists with short, regular and long legs
  • Priced in pounds, with free standard UK delivery over £50

Cons:

  • Functional rather than fashion-led, with none of Waggle's personality on the chest
  • Postal returns are at your own cost
  • Some buyers find the legs and sleeves run long

Verdict:

Stromberg is the unglamorous answer to the question Waggle can't answer: what to wear when it rains sideways in Yorkshire. Nobody buys it for the graphics. It covers the categories the American print brands leave empty, on a shelf you can visit.

Quiet Golf: Best for golf clothes that say nothing at all

Available on: quietgolf.com · Read our full Quiet Golf review

Key Features:

  • Co-founded in 2021 by Christion Lennon, who launched Museum of Peace & Quiet, with brothers Raul and Diego Diaz
  • A flagship store in Costa Mesa, California, since 2023
  • Plain polos with a small embroidered QG flag or monogram, mostly in 90–96% polyester, plus one in 96% Supima cotton
  • A UK storefront in pounds, with polos at £89–£97 in October 2026

Pros:

  • The exact opposite of a pheasant print: plain colours and a small logo
  • Fabric percentages on every polo listing, which Waggle's descriptions lack
  • Fashion credibility, including an adidas Samba Golf collaboration in October 2025

Cons:

  • The brand takes no responsibility for customs charges, so import costs are yours
  • No women's range, and just one trouser and one short
  • Its two returns pages disagree: 14 days on one, 30 days with a 5% restocking fee on the other

Verdict:

Quiet Golf is for the golfer who has had enough of the artwork. It trades Waggle's printed polos for plain ones with a small logo, at £89 or more against about £53. You carry the customs bill yourself, so it is the priciest way to the opposite look.

Quick Comparison Grid

Rhoback Premium performance polos priced in pounds £££ None published (no certifications or recycled-fabric programme)
Fore Bros Clothing British creator golfwear sent from inside the UK ££ Some (20% recycled polyester in several hoodies and half zips; no certifications named)
Three Putt Golf Golf streetwear for the clubhouse and off the course ££ No recycled-content or eco claims; tees are 100% cotton
Barstool Golf US golf merch with duties settled at checkout ££ None of its own (the adidas capsule carries adidas's recycled-content claims)
Stromberg Golf The waterproofs Waggle doesn't make £ Low (some recycled polyester, such as the Knebworth polo; no certification named)
Quiet Golf Plain golf clothes with no prints at all ££££ None published (no certifications named)

Summary

Waggle deserves more credit than most American golf brands get in round-ups like this. It publishes a flat $9.99 international rate, gives you 45 days to return or exchange, and grew from a basement in 2018 to three stores, including a Blaine flagship. Hats are a huge part of it, with 139 of its 445 listings in October 2026.

The friction for a UK buyer comes after the parcel arrives. Returns and exchanges go back to Minnesota at your cost, duties on orders over $200 are yours, the fit can run snug, and there is nothing waterproof.

Breezy fixes the return problem with a UK distributor and sterling prices, which is why it ranks first. Rhoback raises the quality at a price. Fore Bros tells the same creator story from Britain, with quick dispatch. Three Putt covers the hoodie and sweatshirt half of the wardrobe with free UK delivery. Barstool settles customs at checkout, then takes its time. Stromberg covers the rain, and Quiet Golf is the palate cleanser.

Frequently Asked Questions About Waggle Golf

Does Waggle Golf ship to the UK?

Yes. Waggle charges a flat $9.99 (about £8) on all international orders, and its country selector lists the United Kingdom with prices in pounds. If an order is above $200, the customer pays any additional taxes and duties. Orders ship from its warehouse in Blaine, Minnesota, and Waggle asks you to allow up to two business days for dispatch.

What is Waggle Golf's website address?

The store is at getyourwaggleon.com. This catches people out, because wagglegolf.com isn't the brand's site. In October 2026 it redirected to a HugeDomains listing offering the domain for sale. If a link sends you to wagglegolf.com, you are in the wrong place.

Do Waggle Golf clothes run small?

Waggle's FAQ says its apparel "is athletic fit and runs true to size". Reviewers note it can run slightly snug, and Independent Golf Reviews called the sizing "on the slightly smaller side" in its spring 2026 review. International returns and exchanges are at your cost, so size up if you're between sizes. Men's polos run S–3XL.

How much does Waggle Golf cost in pounds?

In October 2026 most polos listed at $69 (about £53), quarter-zips at $79–$84 and men's hoodies at $59–$99. Golf shorts ran $59–$75, the Greenside jogger was $85 and the Ace Pant $92. Hats were $26–$59. Add the flat $9.99 shipping and a single polo lands at about £61, before any duties on orders over $200.

What is Waggle Golf's returns policy for UK buyers?

You have 45 days from receiving an item to return or exchange it, unworn and with tags. Waggle accepts international returns and exchanges, but the customer pays the postage back to Minnesota. Its refund policy also deducts a $6.00 handling fee from returns. US customers get free exchanges, so the domestic terms are better than yours.

Is Waggle Golf sustainable?

Waggle makes no sustainability claims. It publishes no sustainability programme or certifications, and its product descriptions mention no recycled or organic fabric. They don't give fabric percentages either. If that matters to you, Fore Bros puts some recycled polyester into hoodies and half zips, and Stromberg uses recycled polyester in some lines, though neither names a certification.

Who founded Waggle Golf?

Travis Baker founded Waggle in 2018. The idea came at a Jimmy Buffett concert, where the Parrotheads' tropical shirts made him wonder why golfers didn't dress like that. He sold polos and hats from his basement and took the business on full time in 2021. Waggle says its original ten designs were all named after alcoholic drinks.

What is the best Waggle Golf alternative for UK golfers?

It depends what you want from Waggle. Breezy is the closest swap, sold in pounds by Cloud 18 Golf with UK returns. Rhoback is the premium polo upgrade, and Stromberg covers the waterproofs Waggle doesn't make. For off-course streetwear priced in pounds, Three Putt sells heavyweight hoodies, sweatshirts and tees with free UK delivery.
