Quiet Golf vs Three Putt: Understated Polos or UK Golf Streetwear?
Updated on: October 1, 2026 • ~10 min read

We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

Logo-light polos from Costa Mesa, or heavyweight graphic cotton from Leeds. Two reactions to fussy golfwear at very different volumes, and who should buy which.
How We Review Golf Clothing Brands
Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.
Verdict and Quick Pick
Quiet Golf is a Costa Mesa, California label selling understated polos, one trouser and short, a hoodie, a corduroy jacket, hats and headcovers. Three Putt is a Leeds golf streetwear brand selling only tees, long-sleeves, sweatshirts and hoodies. Buy Quiet Golf for the course and the clubhouse, and Three Putt for off-course style with free UK delivery.
Best for a quiet, logo-light polo that passes a dress code: Quiet Golf. Performance polos at £89 with shell buttons, a Supima cotton polo made in Portugal and the San Marino stretch trouser at £138. UK buyers pay for shipping and handle any customs charges themselves.
Best for heavyweight golf streetwear bought easily in the UK: Three Putt. Tees from £23.99 and 430gsm hoodies from £45.99, priced in pounds with free UK delivery and nothing extra to pay on the doorstep.

Brand Overview
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt Golf is a UK golf streetwear brand based in Leeds. It makes four garments: tees, long-sleeve tees, sweatshirts and hoodies. Each comes in six graphic designs: Contours, Happy Place, Tee Time, Reckless Driving, The Scenic Route and Three on the Green.
It's worth being plain about the limits. There are no polos, trousers, shorts, outerwear, waterproofs or caps, and no women's-specific range. Three Putt is golf culture to wear around the game, not a full on-course wardrobe.
Quiet Golf
Quiet Golf is a Costa Mesa, California golf label, co-founded in 2021 by Christion Lennon with brothers Raul and Diego Diaz. Its flagship store there has a Foresight simulator inside.
In October 2024, Old Tom Capital, a golf-focused investment firm, led a seed round to grow the brand's pro-shop business. Lennon told Hypebeast at the time: "I want our clothes to be where the best golf is played." Collaborations include an adidas Samba Golf in October 2025 and earlier PUMA and Holderness & Bourne capsules.
The webshop is small. In October 2026 it listed 23 products, nine of them polos, and its Cashmere and women's collection pages were empty. American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf and GolfOnline don't list the brand, so UK buyers order direct.

Key Features and Fabrics
Three Putt Golf
- Tees: 100% cotton, 260gsm, relaxed fit, in five colourways per design.
- Long-sleeve tees: 280gsm, 85% cotton and 15% polyester, with a loose drop-shoulder fit.
- Sweatshirts: 400gsm cotton crewnecks in a regular fit.
- Hoodies: 430gsm, 56% cotton and 44% polyester, with an oversized drop-shoulder fit, in four colourways per design.
These are cotton garments, not technical performance wear. There's no moisture-wicking, stretch technology or weather protection. The appeal is fabric weight, a relaxed streetwear shape and the graphics.
Quiet Golf
- Active Pique polos: the Hampton, Remy, Sunny and Randolph, in 93–96% polyester with 4–7% spandex. Quiet Golf describes the fabric as four-way stretch and moisture-wicking.
- Active Jersey polos: the Claremont and Lowell, in 90% polyester and 10% spandex for a smoother, stretchier fabric.
- Vintage Supima Cotton Polo: 96% Supima cotton and 4% elastane, made in Portugal.
- San Marino Pant and Short: 57% cotton, 35% nylon and 8% spandex, with four-way stretch, a quick-drying finish and a snap front with a secondary button.
- Monterey Hoodie: 42% cotton, 42% modal and 16% nylon, in a fabric milled in Portugal.
- Cardroom Corduroy Jacket: 100% cotton corduroy with a polyester lining.
The performance polos share three-button plackets and Trocas shell buttons, and every product lists its fabric. What's missing is weather kit: no waterproofs or knitwear, so a wet British round needs a shell from another brand.

Quiet Golf shows UK visitors its own sterling prices, and these are its full prices in October 2026. They sit close to a straight conversion of the dollar prices, so they don't appear to include UK import VAT. Shipping and any import charges come on top.
The two brands overlap on only two garments. Quiet Golf's Monterey Hoodie costs £115, against £45.99–£51.99 for a Three Putt 430gsm hoodie. Its long-sleeve Hampton polo is £97, where a Three Putt long-sleeve tee is £27.99–£32.99. They're different garments, though.
Price Verdict
Three Putt wins on price for everything it makes, and free UK delivery with no import charges helps on every order. Quiet Golf's £89 polo is fair for the specification and has no equivalent in the Three Putt range. Just remember that its sticker price isn't the landed cost.
Fit and Sizing
Three Putt Golf
Each garment has one fit. Tees are relaxed and run from S to 3XL. Long-sleeve tees have a loose drop-shoulder fit, sweatshirts a regular fit and hoodies an oversized drop-shoulder fit, all from S to 2XL. These shapes suit layering and everyday wear more than a tucked-in round.
Quiet Golf
Quiet Golf publishes a measured size chart, in inches, under the size options on each product. Tops run S–XXL, with no XS and nothing larger. On the Hampton Active Pique polo, the chest measurement runs from 20¼ inches on a small to 26¾ inches on an XXL. There's a three-inch jump between L and XL, so check the chart if you sit between them.
The San Marino Pant and Short come in 28–36 waists, with a 32-inch inseam on the pant and 7½ inches on the short. Both are cut with added length and a shrinkage allowance for the high cotton content, and Quiet Golf tells you to order your true size.
Fit Verdict
Quiet Golf wins for a tidy on-course outfit, with honest charts and clear advice on the trousers. Three Putt goes a size bigger with its tees and suits a relaxed or oversized streetwear cut. A wrong Quiet Golf size means posting it back to the US at your own cost.
Style and Versatility
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt is golf streetwear built around six graphic designs, each across all four garments, so a tee and a hoodie can match. Tees come in five colourways per design and hoodies in four. They sit naturally with jeans or joggers, and suit relaxed rounds, the range and social golf. Golfers at clubs with a collared-shirt dress code will need a polo from elsewhere.
Quiet Golf
Quiet Golf is restrained country-club minimalism. Colours are muted, such as pine, wine, navy and bone, and the branding is a small embroidered QG flag or monogram. There are no graphic prints and no slogans.
A polo and the San Marino Pant make a clean round from one brand, and the Cardroom Corduroy Jacket carries the look into the clubhouse. The Harris Tweed headcovers, made by hand in the USA with Ross Co. Golf, are where the brand feels most like its own world.
Style Verdict
Quiet Golf wins for a polished, dress-code-friendly look that keeps its voice down. Three Putt wins if you'd rather wear a golf graphic than a small chest logo, on heavyweight cotton, for the range, the pub or the sofa. Hushed, or said out loud: pick your volume.

Quality, Durability and Sustainability
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt's quality story is fabric weight: 260gsm tees, 280gsm long-sleeves, 400gsm sweatshirts and 430gsm hoodies. On sustainability, the honest answer is short. Three Putt makes no recycled-content or eco claims and holds no sustainability certifications. Its tees are 100% cotton.
Quiet Golf
Quiet Golf's specifications are strong: Supima cotton, poly-spandex performance knits, Trocas shell buttons and handmade Harris Tweed headcovers. The Supima polo is made in Portugal, the Monterey Hoodie's fabric is milled there, and the headcovers are made in the USA. The Active Pique and Active Jersey polo pages don't say where those polos are made.
What's missing is customer evidence: no reviews on its product pages, and no Trustpilot profile in October 2026. Quiet Golf publishes no sustainability claims or certifications.
Quality Verdict
Quiet Golf wins on technical fabric and finishing details. Three Putt's case is heavyweight cotton at much lower prices. Neither brand makes recycled-content claims or names a sustainability certification.
Customer Support and Returns
Three Putt Golf
UK delivery is free on every order. Support is by email at support@threeputtgolfclothing.co.uk. You can return items within 14 days of delivery: email support first, and note that you pay the return postage.
Quiet Golf
Quiet Golf ships worldwide. Orders leave within five business days, and the brand says to allow one to two weeks for delivery. International shipping is priced by country and order weight at checkout. Quiet Golf says it takes no responsibility for customs charges, and duties and taxes paid on delivery aren't refunded.
Its shipping page also says it does its best to mark orders as gifts. Under the GOV.UK gift rules, gift treatment covers goods bought and sent between individuals, not companies, for personal use. Plan to pay any import charges yourself.
Returns depend on which page you read. The returns page allows 30 days from delivery through an online portal, with a 5% restocking fee on approved returns. The store's refund policy says 14 days, starting with an email to orders@quietgolfclub.com. Sale items and gift cards can't be returned, and there are no direct exchanges.
International buyers pay the return postage, and orders can't be changed or cancelled once placed. Shipping fees aren't refunded. Support is by email and a contact form, with ProShop@quietgolfclub.com named for order questions.
Support Verdict
Three Putt, for a UK buyer. Free UK delivery and no import charges beat paid shipping, customs left with you and two returns pages that disagree. Both brands make you pay return postage, but a parcel to Leeds costs less than one to the US.
Our Pick
Buy Quiet Golf if you want a quiet, well-made polo with no slogans, for a club that expects a collar. The £89 Active Pique polos and the £138 San Marino Pant make a tidy on-course outfit, and the Harris Tweed headcovers are a lovely extra.
Buy it knowing the terms. Order from quietgolf.com, check the shipping quote and budget for import charges on delivery. Plan on 14 days to return, the shorter of its two windows, and get your size right first time.
Buy Three Putt for heavyweight golf streetwear: graphic tees from £23.99, long-sleeve tees, sweatshirts and 430gsm hoodies, priced in pounds and delivered free in the UK. Every garment comes in the same six designs.
A Quiet Golf polo on the course and a Three Putt hoodie afterwards is a sensible split. If you like the understated look but would rather skip customs, our guide to UK golf brands has labels you can buy without an import step.

Frequently Asked Questions About Three Putt vs Quiet Golf
Is Three Putt a good alternative to Quiet Golf?
For hoodies and tees, yes. Three Putt's 430gsm hoodies cost £45.99–£51.99 against £115 for Quiet Golf's Monterey Hoodie, with free UK delivery and no import charges. For polos, trousers or a clubhouse jacket, no. Three Putt doesn't make them, and polos are the heart of Quiet Golf's range.
Which brand is better on the course?
Quiet Golf. Its Active Pique and Active Jersey polos are polyester-spandex performance knits, its collared polos meet club dress codes, and the San Marino fabric has four-way stretch. Three Putt's cotton tees and hoodies suit casual rounds and the range. Neither brand makes a waterproof, so a wet round needs a shell from elsewhere.
Does Quiet Golf ship to the UK?
Yes. UK visitors see prices in pounds, and international shipping is priced by country and order weight at checkout. Orders ship within five business days, and the brand says to allow one to two weeks for delivery. Quiet Golf takes no responsibility for customs charges, so budget for import VAT, possible duty and a courier fee.
What is Quiet Golf's returns policy?
Its two returns pages disagree. The returns page allows 30 days from delivery, with a 5% restocking fee on approved returns. The refund policy says 14 days, starting with an email to orders@quietgolfclub.com. International buyers pay return postage, and orders can't be cancelled. Three Putt allows 14 days from delivery, and the customer pays return postage.
How do the fits differ?
Quiet Golf sizes tops from S to XXL against a measured chart, and its San Marino trousers come in 28–36 waists with a shrinkage allowance, so order your true size. Three Putt is relaxed streetwear: tees in S–3XL, and loose or oversized long-sleeves, sweatshirts and hoodies in S–2XL. Neither brand has a women's-specific range.
Which brand is better value for UK golfers?
For hoodies and long-sleeve tops, Three Putt by a distance, and UK delivery is free. Quiet Golf's £89 polos and £138 trousers are fair for the specification, but shipping and any import charges come on top. Three Putt makes nothing to compare with them directly.
Is Three Putt good quality?
Three Putt uses heavyweight fabrics for what it makes: 100% cotton 260gsm tees, 280gsm long-sleeves, 400gsm cotton sweatshirts and 430gsm hoodies. They're casual cotton garments, so they won't stretch or wick like Quiet Golf's performance polos. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery if you email support first.
Are Quiet Golf and Three Putt sustainable?
Neither makes sustainability claims. Quiet Golf publishes no sustainability claims or certifications, though its Supima polo is made in Portugal and its Harris Tweed headcovers in the USA. Three Putt makes no recycled-content or eco claims; its tees are 100% cotton. If sustainability is your priority, look for a brand that publishes certified or recycled materials.
