Honest Island Green Golf Clothing Review 2026 | Three Putt Golf

We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

A Manchester golf label that will put you in a polo, trousers and a midlayer for under £100. Just don't expect it to say much about you.
How We Review Golf Clothing Brands
Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.
Verdict: 7.2/10
Island Green is a budget golf clothing brand from Whitefield, Manchester, owned by distributor Pan World Brands and designed in-house since 2014. We liked the £24.99 Performance Polo in XS to 4XL, trousers in three leg lengths, a new £69.99 taped-seam waterproof with a two-year guarantee, and free 30-day returns.
It's also bigger than it looks: 99 products on its own site and a fresh 12-piece autumn/winter 2026 range that landed in mid-September.
Where it falls short for UK golfers: more than three-quarters of the range was on sale on 1 October, which makes the RRPs feel notional. The juniors' line is down to two boys' items, fabric and sourcing details are patchy, there are no exchanges, and free delivery only starts at £70.
This brand is best for beginners, society organisers and anyone who wants a full, sensible golf wardrobe for less than the price of one premium waterproof.

Key Features
- Signature tech/fabric: 4-way stretch performance polos with a mesh back yoke, 94% polyester / 6% elastane stretch waterproofs with fully taped seams, and brushed-inner stretch midlayers
- Design language: Mainstream club golf: solids, colour blocks, busy prints and sonic-quilted autumn layers
- Fit profile: Standard UK club sizing; men's tops XS to 4XL on the size chart (most styles S to 3XL), tapered or straight trousers
- Range depth: Men's and ladies' polos, midlayers, knitwear, trousers, shorts, skorts, gilets, jackets, waterproofs and winter accessories; juniors down to two boys' pieces
Pros
- Genuinely low prices: £24.99 polos, £44.99 trousers and a £69.99 waterproof jacket, with most of the range discounted further
- Free 30-day returns with Post Office drop-off, and same-day dispatch on weekday orders placed before noon
- Proper size coverage: the core polo runs XS to 4XL, and both men's and ladies' trousers come in three leg lengths
- A fresh AW26 range of 12 quilted and stretch layers at £49.95–£69.95
Cons
- More than three-quarters of the site is on sale, so RRPs feel notional and sale sizes sell out unevenly
- The juniors' range is down to a boys' polo and waterproof trousers on the brand's own site
- Patchy specs: fabric compositions on some pieces only, no waterproof ratings and no country of manufacture
- No exchanges, no published phone number, no international shipping, and free delivery only over £70
Island Green Pricing
Island Green prices like a value brand, then discounts like an outlet. Everything is shown in pounds with VAT included, and on 1 October, 77 of the 99 products on islandgreengolf.co.uk were reduced.
| Category | Entry | Typical | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polos/Tees | £22.99 | £24.99 | £34.95–£44.95 |
| Midlayers | £29.99 | £44.99–£49.95 | £69.95 |
| Trousers/Shorts | £27.99 | £39.99–£44.99 | £49.99 |
| Outerwear | £44.99 | £49.95–£69.95 | £74.50 |
| Caps | £12.99 | £14.99 | £24.99 |
Full prices on the brand's site: Performance Polo £24.99, ladies' Micro-pique Polo £22.99, print polos £24.99–£34.95, Long Sleeve Polo £44.95, knitwear £29.99–£49.99, top layers £39.99–£49.95, Padded Technical Hoody £69.95, chino £39.99, Tour Stretch Tapered Trousers £44.99, shorts £27.99–£39.99, gilets £44.99–£49.95, Waterproof Stretch Jacket £69.99, ladies' Padded Quilted Jacket £74.50, caps £14.99 and the SS26 5-in-1 Professional Pack £94.99.
Comparison:
- Island Green vs Three Putt: Two UK brands at accessible prices, built for different jobs. Island Green kits out the whole round, from £24.99 polos to £69.99 waterproofs. Three Putt sticks to golf-culture tees from £24.99, sweatshirts at £37.99–£47.99 and heavyweight hoodies at £45.99–£54.99, with free UK delivery. Kit for the course, or clothes for the identity.
- Island Green vs Glenmuir: Two UK club-golf staples at very different money. Glenmuir has made golf clothing since 1891 and its new autumn sweaters sit at £95–£100. Island Green's AW26 quarter-zips are £49.95. Heritage knitwear, or half the price and a fresh print.
- Island Green vs Under Armour: The big-brand alternative. Under Armour's UK site lists its Tech polo at £35, Matchplay polo at £40 and Drive Pro rain jacket at £140. Island Green undercuts all three, but Under Armour brings the bigger name and far wider shelf space.
- Island Green vs Galvin Green: Starter waterproof versus specialist. Island Green's £69.99 stretch jacket has taped seams and a two-year waterproof guarantee. Galvin Green's Arlo waterproof is £359 on its UK store. Rain twice a year, or every week?
Promos/Outlet Notes: The "up to 75% off" sale held 74 products on 1 October, including Top Stitch polos at £12.99 (was £24.99) and the two-piece men's waterproof suit at £39.99 (was £119.98). Mailing-list sign-up gives 10% off a first order, and the brand's Instagram bio advertises code INSTA10. GolfOnline had the new Quilted Performance Jacket at £54.95 (RRP £69.95), and County Golf clears older midlayers from £7.95.
Verdict: 8.2/10
Among the cheapest credible golfwear sold in Britain, and the near-permanent sale pushes it lower still. It loses a little for RRPs that rarely seem to apply and free delivery that only starts at £70.
Island Green Fit & Sizing (Usability)
Island Green keeps sizing simple: one site-wide size guide, standard UK measurements and plain fit descriptions (regular, tapered or straight). Golf Monthly forum members have called the sizing "spot on" and "pretty standard", though one 2018 post said pieces "go a bit baggy after a while".
Notes:
- Polos/Tees: The Performance Polo is a regular cut in 4-way stretch; the ladies' micro-pique uses 2-way stretch.
- Midlayers: Quarter-zips with chin guards, cut to layer over a polo; AW26 pieces run S to 3XL or M to 2XL.
- Trousers/Shorts: Tour and chino trousers are tapered with gripper waistbands, in 30–42 waists (chino 32–40) with 29", 31" and 33" legs. Ladies' trousers are straight-leg in 8–20 with 28", 30" and 32" legs.
- Outerwear: Adjustable cuffs and drawcord hems; waterproof trousers come in Short/Reg and Reg/Long fittings.
- Heat/Humidity: Polos are breathable, moisture-wicking and quick-drying, with UV protection on the print styles. Brushed-inner layers are for cooler days.
- Size Charts: Men's tops are charted by chest from 34" (XS) to 48" (4XL), plus separate trouser charts. No per-product fit notes.
Accessibility/Range:
- The core Performance Polo runs XS to 4XL; most other men's tops stop at 3XL.
- Ladies' micro-pique polos and trousers run 8–20, with three leg lengths on trousers.
- Juniors: boys' sizes Age 9/10 to Age 13 only, across just two items on the brand site.
Verdict: 7.3/10
Three leg lengths for men and women beats plenty of brands at twice the price. Uneven stock across sale sizes and a near-empty juniors' section hold it back.
Island Green Core Product Categories
Polos
The volume line. The Performance Polo (£24.99, XS to 4XL in eight colours) uses 4-way stretch with a mesh back yoke and contrast-tipped collar. The spring prints (chain, dot, geo and jacquard) list at £24.99 and were all £16.99 on 1 October. The Long Sleeve Polo is £44.95, and ladies' Classic Micro-pique polos are £22.99 in sizes 8–20.
Verdict: 7.3/10

Midlayers
The strongest part of the range right now. The AW26 drop adds colour-block and textured quarter-zips at £49.95, plus a Padded Technical Hoody and Quilted Lined Top Layer at £69.95. The "Chill Out" quarter-zip (94% polyester, 6% elastane) lists at £44.99 and was £34.99, and knitwear runs £29.99–£49.99.
Verdict: 7.5/10

Trousers & Shorts
The Tour Stretch Tapered Trousers (£44.99) and Stretch Tapered Fit Chino (£39.99) come in three leg lengths with gripper waistbands. The All Weather Bonded Fleece Lining Trousers (£49.99) are water-repellent and windproof for winter golf. Men's shorts list at £27.99–£39.99, and ladies get trousers, capris, a skort and Bermuda shorts in 8–20.
Verdict: 7.3/10
Outerwear & Waterproofs
The Waterproof Stretch Jacket (£69.99, added in March 2026) is 94% polyester / 6% elastane with fully taped seams, rubberised zip pockets, storm cuffs and a two-year waterproof guarantee. The ladies' version is £69.95. No waterproof rating is published. AW26 adds a £69.95 Quilted Performance Jacket and a £49.95 vest, and the two-piece men's suit was £39.99 on sale.
Verdict: 7.2/10

Ladies & Juniors
Ladies get a proper range: polos from £22.99, trousers in three leg lengths, skorts, a £69.95 stretch waterproof and four new AW26 pieces. Juniors is the weak spot. The brand site now lists only a boys' Performance Polo (£9.95, was £22.99) and boys' waterproof trousers. GolfOnline still carries junior waterproofs and a hoodie.
Verdict: 6.6/10
Caps & Accessories
Small and practical: a cotton Curved Peak Hat (£14.99), a ladies' diamante-logo cap, beanies at £12.99, a £24.99 Wide Brimmed Waterproof Hat, fleece-lined Thermal Mitts (£14.99), neck warmers, thermal base layers and socks. Nothing you'd buy for the logo.
Verdict: 6.5/10
Island Green Materials & Tech (Construction, Sustainability)
Island Green says it designs everything in-house at its North West HQ and works with long-standing manufacturers and suppliers. The fabrics are standard value-performance kit: polyester-elastane stretch, brushed inners and sonic quilting, with no named fabric technologies.
Backend (manufacturing & standards):
- Designed in the UK; the country of manufacture isn't stated on product pages.
- Parent company Pan World Brands says it works with suppliers in the Far East, the Indian subcontinent and Europe.
- No sustainability claims or certifications on the brand's own site.
- Fabric compositions appear on some pieces, such as the waterproofs and gilets, but not the core polos.
Application (on-garment features):
- Polos: 4-way stretch, breathable, moisture-wicking and quick-drying; mesh back yoke on the Performance Polo; UV protection on the print styles.
- Midlayers: Brushed-inner 4-way stretch, chin guards and zip garages, with sonic-quilted padding on the AW26 pieces.
- Waterproofs: 94/6 polyester-elastane stretch, fully taped seams, rubberised zips, inner storm cuffs and a two-year waterproof guarantee.
- Trousers: Gripper waistbands, 4-way stretch on the Tour trousers, a stretch cotton blend on the chino, and bonded fleece lining on the all-weather pair.
Verdict: 6.7/10
Sensible features for the money, and a waterproof guarantee many budget brands skip. Thin fabric disclosure and no sourcing or sustainability detail keep the score modest.

What Are Island Green's Review Ratings from Review Sites?
(As of October 2026)
- Trustpilot: There's no Trustpilot profile for islandgreengolf.co.uk, so there's no independent score to quote.
- On-site: Product pages carry no customer reviews or star ratings.
- Golf Monthly forum: In a January 2024 thread, one member summed it up as "cheap and cheerful", the "golf equivalent to Sondico for football". Another was "very happy with quality and sizing" after buying from County Golf.
- Media and Reach: Around 2,800 Instagram followers. The brand sponsors PGA events across Lancashire, Cheshire, the North West and Yorkshire, plus the TroyTec Championship. We couldn't find a magazine review of Island Green kit.
- Stockists: GolfOnline lists around 60 Island Green lines, including AW26 and junior waterproofs, and County Golf sells older-season pieces at clearance prices. We couldn't find it at American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18 or Clubhouse Golf.
Synthesis:
Island Green's reputation lives in forum threads and sale baskets, not review platforms. The verdict is consistent: decent for the money, standard sizing, don't expect it to last forever. Honest enough for a value brand, but there's no robust review base behind it.
Is Island Green a Good Golf Brand?
Yes, as a value brand. Island Green covers the whole round for men and women, at prices that make a sub-£100 outfit realistic, with free 30-day returns and quick dispatch. The trade-offs are thin specs, a juniors' range that has almost disappeared, and a near-permanent sale that makes the RRPs hard to take seriously. If you want golf-culture clothing from a UK brand with free UK delivery, Three Putt's golf tees and heavyweight hoodies are the off-course upgrade. Frequently Asked Questions About Island Green
Who owns Island Green golf clothing?
Island Green is an in-house brand of Pan World Brands, a Manchester importer and distributor founded in 1989 that also holds the Daily Sports and Lee Cooper Workwear licences. The UK webshop is run by Zulu Brands Ltd from the same Whitefield address. Island Green was established in 2014.
Where is Island Green clothing made?
The brand designs everything in the UK, but product pages don't state a country of manufacture. Its parent, Pan World Brands, says it relies on long-standing manufacturers and suppliers in the Far East, the Indian subcontinent and Europe. Treat it as UK-designed, imported golfwear.
Is Island Green good quality?
Good for the price is the fair verdict. The polos use 4-way stretch fabric, and the waterproof jacket has taped seams and a two-year waterproof guarantee. Golf Monthly forum members call it "cheap and cheerful", with mostly positive reports on value and sizing. There are no Trustpilot or on-site reviews to confirm durability at scale.
Does Island Green deliver across the UK and abroad?
Only to the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man: there's no international shipping. Standard delivery takes 2–3 days and costs £3.99, or is free over £70. Express (1–2 days) is £4.99, though not to Northern Ireland or the Scottish Highlands. Weekday orders placed before 12:00 dispatch the same day.
How does Island Green sizing run?
Standard UK sizing. Men's tops are charted from a 34" chest (XS) to 48" (4XL), though most styles stop at 3XL. Men's trousers come in 30–42 waists with 29", 31" and 33" legs. Ladies' sizes run 8–20, with 28", 30" and 32" trouser legs. Forum buyers generally report the sizing as accurate.
What is Island Green's returns policy?
Returns are free within 30 days of receipt, for unworn items in their packaging with labels attached. You book the return online and drop it at a Post Office. Refunds go back to your original payment method within 5 to 10 working days of arrival. There are no exchanges, so reorder the right size and return the original.
Does Island Green make junior golf clothing?
Only just. The brand's own site currently lists two junior items, a boys' Performance Polo and boys' waterproof trousers, both reduced and in sizes Age 9/10 to Age 13. GolfOnline still carries a junior waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers and a hoodie. There's no girls' range.
Where can I buy Island Green?
Direct from islandgreengolf.co.uk, which has the full range including the new AW26 pieces. GolfOnline stocks around 60 Island Green lines, sometimes below the brand's prices, and County Golf sells older-season stock at clearance prices. We couldn't find it at American Golf or Scottsdale Golf.
Is Island Green waterproof gear any good?
It's credible starter protection. The £69.99 Waterproof Stretch Jacket is 94% polyester / 6% elastane with fully taped seams, storm cuffs and a two-year waterproof guarantee, and the ladies' version is £69.95. Island Green doesn't publish a waterproof rating, so for weekly winter golf in heavy rain a specialist jacket is still the safer buy.
