PXG vs Three Putt: Premium Golf Wardrobe or UK Golf Streetwear

We test golf apparel the way we play. Hard, social, and honest.

Both brands put attitude into golf clothing. PXG sells a full premium wardrobe that is hard to buy in Britain, and Three Putt sells four streetwear garments with free UK delivery.
How We Review Golf Clothing Brands
Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.
Verdict and Quick Pick
PXG Apparel is the premium clothing line of US club maker Parsons Xtreme Golf: 146 pieces, from $65 tees to a $375 blazer, none sold on its UK website. Three Putt is a Leeds golf streetwear brand selling tees, long-sleeves, sweatshirts and hoodies from £23.99. Play in PXG if you can reach it, and wear Three Putt off the course.
Best for golf style off the course, with free UK delivery: Three Putt. Heavyweight graphic tees and hoodies from £23.99 to £51.99, ordered online in pounds. It is casual wear for the range, the clubhouse and the drive home, not technical kit.
Best for a premium on-course wardrobe: PXG. Stretch polos in two fits, water-repellent Darkness Pants, seam-sealed rain gear and a women's range bigger than the men's. In the UK, though, the clothing is sold through PXG's London South showroom in Esher, not online.

Brand Overview
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt is a UK golf streetwear brand based in Leeds. The range is deliberately narrow: tees, long-sleeve tees, sweatshirts and hoodies.
Each comes in six graphic designs: Contours, Happy Place, Tee Time, Reckless Driving, The Scenic Route and Three on the Green. The idea is golf culture you can wear anywhere, not a full on-course wardrobe.
That brings honest limits. There are no polos, trousers, shorts, outerwear, waterproofs or caps, and no women's-specific line. If your club has a collared-shirt dress code, you will need a polo from elsewhere.
PXG Apparel
PXG Apparel is the clothing line of Parsons Xtreme Golf, the Scottsdale, Arizona club maker Bob Parsons founded in 2013. Renee Parsons established the apparel line and ran it as President and Executive Creative Director from 2018. She became PXG's Chief Marketing Officer in late 2024.
It is a bigger wardrobe than most expect from a club company. In October 2026, pxg.com listed 146 clothing pieces: 74 for women, 69 for men and three unisex. The tour roster, which includes England's Marco Penge and Céline Boutier, is built on clubs first.
The catch for British golfers is access. PXG's UK website sells clubs, caps, gloves and socks, but no clothing. UK golf retailers such as Scottsdale Golf, Clubhouse Golf and GolfOnline list its clubs and accessories rather than its clothes. The UK route is PXG London South in Esher, Surrey, whose showroom carries "PXG's latest apparel, accessories, bags, and hats".

Key Features and Fabrics
Three Putt Golf
- Tees: 100% cotton, 260gsm, relaxed fit, S–3XL, five colourways per design.
- Long-sleeve tees: 280gsm, 85% cotton / 15% polyester, loose drop-shoulder fit, S–2XL.

- Hoodies: 430gsm, 56% cotton / 44% polyester, oversized drop-shoulder fit, S–2XL, four colourways per design.
These are heavyweight casual garments, not technical performance wear. Don't expect moisture-wicking, stretch fabric or weather protection.
PXG Apparel
- Polos: the $125 Heritage Polo is 88% nylon and 12% elastane, in Athletic or Comfort Fit. The $125 Sport Pique Polo is a lightweight 85/15 knit that wicks, dries quickly and blocks UV, with PXG's signature snap placket.
- Graphic tees: $65 tees such as the Turf Club Tee use a soft cotton blend in a relaxed fit, with vintage-style golf artwork.
- Hoodies and layers: the $95 Clubhouse Cozy Hoodie is 95% modal and 5% spandex in a fitted cut, and hoodies climb to $195. The $165 Essential Pullover is a stretchy, moisture-wicking quarter-zip.
- Trousers: the $135 Essential Golf Pants have a flat front and slightly tapered leg. The $225 Essential Darkness Pants are breathable, water-repellent and four-way stretch.
- Rain gear: the $295 Fairway Camo Rain Jacket is seam-sealed, with waterproof zip pockets and a packable pouch. PXG publishes no waterproof rating, and calls the $275 Rain Pants water-resistant.

Price Verdict
Three Putt is far cheaper where the ranges overlap. A tee costs around half the converted price of a PXG graphic tee, and every Three Putt hoodie costs less than PXG's cheapest $95 hoodie. PXG's money buys what Three Putt doesn't make: performance polos, stretch golf trousers and rain gear. For UK buyers, the cost of reaching it comes on top.
Fit and Sizing
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt sizes run S–3XL on tees and S–2XL on everything else. Tees have a relaxed fit, long-sleeves a loose drop shoulder and sweatshirts a regular fit. Hoodies are oversized with a drop shoulder, so size down if you want a closer look.
PXG Apparel
PXG is unusually open about fit. Men's polos come in Athletic Fit, fitted through the waist with a shorter body, or Comfort Fit, relaxed and longer. Some styles, including the Tour polos, are Comfort Fit only. Product pages list garment measurements for a Large: the Heritage Polo measures 47¾ inches at the chest in Comfort Fit and 44¼ in Athletic.
Men's tops mostly run S–3XL, with XS on a few hoodies and some styles stopping at 2XL. Most trousers and shorts come in 30–42 inch waists, and there's no big-and-tall line. Women's pieces run 2XS–XL on most styles and XS–XL on the rest, all in US sizes.
Fit Verdict
PXG wins on fit choice. Two polo cuts, published measurements and a full women's size run make it one of the easier premium brands to size from a distance. Three Putt keeps it simple, with relaxed tees and oversized hoodies made for wearing rather than swinging. Both top out at 3XL in tees.
Style and Versatility
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt is golf streetwear: golf-themed graphics on heavyweight fabric, cut in relaxed and oversized shapes. A hoodie works for a casual range session, the pub after a round or a weekend layer. It is not the right shirt for a members' competition at a traditional club, so check your golf dress code first.
PXG Apparel
PXG's look is black-and-white minimalism with a hard edge, with Fairway Camo prints and snap plackets as signatures. The Darkness skull, numbered 26, honours Bob Parsons' service with the 26th Marine Regiment in Vietnam. The polos pass a collared-shirt dress code, and the $375 Every Occasion Blazer covers the clubhouse dinner. Off the course, its graphic tees lean on vintage-inspired artwork and PXG branding.
Style Verdict
PXG dresses the round and the clubhouse, with a look nobody mistakes for anyone else. Three Putt dresses everything around it, from the car park to the bar, in heavyweight cotton with golf graphics. If you want golf attitude on a polo, PXG has it. If you want it on a hoodie for less, Three Putt does.

Quality, Durability and Sustainability
Three Putt Golf
Three Putt's quality story is weight. Tees are 260gsm cotton, sweatshirts 400gsm and hoodies 430gsm, built for warmth and structure rather than airflow. They are casual garments, so there is no wicking, stretch or weather protection to judge them on. On sustainability, Three Putt makes no recycled-content or eco claims. Its tees are 100% cotton.
PXG Apparel
PXG builds its golf clothing on stretch performance knits, and labels the specification clearly. The polos are 85–88% nylon with elastane, the Darkness Pants are water-repellent with four-way stretch, and the rain jacket is seam-sealed.
There are gaps at these prices. PXG publishes no waterproof rating for its rain gear, no country of manufacture on its product pages and no sustainability programme. For a rated waterproof, see our guide to the best waterproof golf clothing.
Quality Verdict
PXG wins on technical build, with performance fabrics for every part of a round. Three Putt wins on heavyweight cotton for casual wear. Neither publishes a sustainability programme, and PXG's missing waterproof rating is the main hole in its spec.

Support Verdict
PXG offers more ways to reach a person: a UK freephone line, an email team and a store you can walk into. It also allows 28 days to exchange. Three Putt wins on buying, because you can order online in pounds with free UK delivery. Both give 14 days for a refund, with return postage paid by you.
Our Pick
Buy PXG if you want a premium golf wardrobe with real attitude and can get to Esher or shop in the US. The $125 Heritage Polo, in the cut that suits you, and the $225 Darkness Pants are the signature pieces. Its women's range is the strongest reason to make the trip.
Buy Three Putt for golf style off the course and on relaxed dry days, with free UK delivery. Heavyweight tees from £23.99 and hoodies under £52 cover the clubhouse and the drive home. A sweatshirt or long-sleeve tee rounds it out. Golfers at collared-shirt clubs will still need a polo from elsewhere.
The two can share a bag: a PXG polo for the round, and a Three Putt hoodie for the walk to the bar. For more US labels, see our guide to American golf brands.

Frequently Asked Questions About Three Putt vs PXG
Is Three Putt a good alternative to PXG?
Only off the course. Three Putt sells heavyweight tees, long-sleeves, sweatshirts and hoodies from £23.99, with free UK delivery. There are no polos, trousers or outerwear, and nothing is built for wicking, stretch or rain. It can't replace PXG's polos or Darkness Pants for a round, but it costs far less for clubhouse and weekend wear.
Can I buy PXG clothing in the UK?
Not online. PXG's UK website sells clubs, caps, gloves and socks, but no clothing, and UK golf retailers list its clubs and accessories rather than its clothes. The UK route is PXG London South in Esher, Surrey, whose showroom carries apparel. Call ahead on 01372 898700 to check stock in your size.
Which is better on the course?
PXG, clearly. Its polos are nylon-elastane stretch knits that wick, dry quickly and block UV, in two fits. The Darkness Pants are water-repellent with four-way stretch, and the rain jacket is seam-sealed, though PXG publishes no waterproof rating. Three Putt's cotton tees and hoodies suit a relaxed round on a dry day, but offer no technical performance and no collar.
How do PXG and Three Putt tees compare?
Both make golf graphic tees for wearing off the course. PXG's cost $65 (about £50) on pxg.com, in a soft cotton blend with a relaxed cut and vintage-style artwork. Three Putt's cost £23.99–£29.99 in 260gsm, 100% cotton, also relaxed, in six designs. Both run S–3XL, but only Three Putt sells its tees online in the UK.
Which is better value?
It depends on the job. For casual wear, Three Putt is far cheaper: the whole range sits between £23.99 and £51.99. For golf kit, PXG's prices sit at the top of the market, with most polos at $110–$145 (about £85–£112). For UK buyers, the cost of getting to Esher or the US comes on top.
Are PXG or Three Putt sustainable?
Neither makes it a selling point. PXG publishes no sustainability programme and doesn't state where its garments are made. Three Putt makes no recycled-content or eco claims, and its tees are 100% cotton.
Which is better for women golfers?
PXG, by a distance. In October 2026, pxg.com listed 74 women's clothing pieces, more than the 69 for men. They include skirts at $145–$185, dresses, the $110 RP Signature Polo and $200 Darkness Pants, mostly in 2XS–XL. Three Putt has no women's-specific range.
