7 Best Turtleson Golf Alternatives in 2026 | Ranked

Updated on: October 1, 2026

Exploring the brands UK golfers turn to when Turtleson, the second act from two of Peter Millar's founders, won't ship outside the US.

How We Review Golf Clothing Brands

Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.

Top Picks

  1. Fairway & Greene: Best overall alternative, with club-shop heritage that ships to the UK
  2. Sounder Golf: Best for British club-shop style sold direct
  3. Redvanly: Best for US athletic luxury that ships to the UK
  4. Lululemon: Best for premium comfort from a brand with UK stores
  5. Three Putt Golf: Best for golf streetwear off the course
  6. B.Draddy: Best for the same lived-in luxury with prices in pounds
  7. Johnnie-O: Best for US prep with duties usually paid at checkout

Why People Look Beyond Turtleson

UK golfers look beyond Turtleson because it's so hard to buy here. Its FAQ is blunt: "At this time, we do not offer international shipping." Its 291 stockists are all in the US, and the big UK golf retailers don't list it; Panmure Pro Shop in Dundee carries a small range in pounds. The polos are excellent, but a British golfer needs a brand that will deliver here.

Turtleson was founded in 2011 in Bristol, Tennessee, by Greg Oakley and Chet Sikorski, two of the founding partners of Peter Millar. It trades under the line "Style at Your Own Pace" and aims squarely at the clubhouse. Performance polos cost $105–$145, and most are $120 (about £92). Their Standwell collar holds its shape without stays.

The range is broad. There are merino and cashmere layers, the Tide to Tee trouser at $150, a seam-sealed Waterproof Defender jacket at $375 and a proper women's line. Core polos and quarter-zips run S–5XL. In January 2026 it signed twins Parker and Pierceson Coody, grandsons of 1971 Masters champion Charles Coody. Buyers rate it 4.7/5 from nearly 1,000 on-site reviews.

The only European route is a trade one. A March 2025 deal with the Confederation of Professional Golf offers custom orders to PGA professionals in its member countries. In September 2026 Turtleson hired sales leads for France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and the UAE. The UK wasn't on the list. Its returns pages disagree (30 days or 60), and it publishes no sustainability claims. Each brand below fixes part of that.

Detailed Breakdown by Brand

Fairway & Greene: Best Overall Alternative

Available on: fairwayandgreene.com

Key Features:

  • Founded in 1995 and part of Summit Golf Brands, alongside B.Draddy and Zero Restriction
  • Polos with a memory-wire cutaway collar, plus a Made in the USA polo line
  • Zegna Baruffa Merino windsweaters, from £224 to the £314 Commodore before VAT in October 2026
  • The PGA of America's official staff uniform supplier since 2025, with Sepp Straka signed in January 2026

Pros:

  • Ships to the UK and shows prices in pounds, where Turtleson won't deliver here
  • Polos at £65–£69 before VAT in October 2026, below Turtleson's $120 (about £92) polos
  • A full ladies' line with polos, skorts and zip mocks, to match Turtleson's women's range
  • The Caves Quarter Zip scores 5.0/5 from 108 on-site reviews

Cons:

  • UK returns and exchanges are accepted, but you pay the return postage to the US
  • Prices exclude VAT and import charges, and no UK delivery fee is published
  • No golf trousers or waterproofs and a single pair of shorts, where Turtleson has the Tide to Tee trouser and the Defender jacket

Verdict:

Fairway & Greene is the same species of brand as Turtleson: clubhouse polos and merino layers built for the member's locker. Unlike Turtleson, it will post to a British address and show you the price in pounds. VAT and import charges come on top, though, and you pay the postage on any UK return.

Sounder Golf: Best for British Club-Shop Style Sold Direct

Available on: soundergolf.com

Key Features:

  • Founded in London in 2021 by Cathal McAteer, who founded the fashion label Folk, and Urban Golf founder James Day
  • Named after the Sounder clubs Seve Ballesteros played in the late 1970s
  • Polos in 100% organic cotton, made by a family-owned factory in Portugal, at £75–£85 in October 2026
  • Pleated Good Walk chinos (£135–£145), cotton-cashmere knits and a £275 waterproof jacket made with Protected Species

Pros:

  • Stocked at golf clubs and resorts including Carnoustie, Gleneagles, Nairn, Skibo Castle and Cleeve Hill
  • Priced in pounds with VAT included; UK delivery is £5.95, or free over £100
  • A Trustpilot score of 4.7 from 573 reviews in October 2026, where Turtleson's Trustpilot profile has no reviews
  • The relaxed clubhouse look Turtleson trades on, in natural fibres

Cons:

  • No women's line, where Turtleson has one
  • Only 14 days to return, and shipping costs aren't refunded
  • Tops stop at XXL (a 46-inch chest), where Turtleson's core polos reach 5XL

Verdict:

Sounder is the British take on the Turtleson idea: premium clubhouse clothing sold through famous Scottish golf shops and its own site. It swaps performance polyester for organic cotton, and the price includes VAT. The short returns window is the one term to respect.

Redvanly: Best for US Athletic Luxury That Ships to the UK

Available on: redvanly.com · Read our full Redvanly review

Key Features:

  • Founded in 2013 by Andrew Redvanly with his brother Eric and cousin David Pagana, and still a family business
  • Says it made the "first-ever pull-on golf short and pant": the Kent trouser is $150 and the Bradley $160
  • Official on-course and off-course apparel partner of TGL's New York Golf Club for the league's second season
  • Rick Shiels signed as an apparel partner in June 2025, and darts player Luke Humphries is an ambassador

Pros:

  • Ships to the UK for a flat $50, and shows UK visitors pounds (the Kent was £120 in October 2026)
  • A near-perfect on-site average from more than 10,000 customer reviews
  • A deep pull-on trouser range, where Turtleson's trousers and shorts are a supporting act
  • Core polos at $110, a little under Turtleson's typical $120

Cons:

  • No word on duties, so budget for UK import charges on top of the $50
  • Its returns pages give different windows, and international returns are arranged by email
  • No women's range and no UK stockist, where Turtleson at least has a women's line

Verdict:

Redvanly is the American premium brand that will take a British order: $50 flat, with any import charges to follow. Its pull-on trousers fill the gap Turtleson leaves at the bottom of the wardrobe. Vague duty and returns terms make it a route rather than a solution.

Lululemon: Best for Premium Comfort From a Brand With UK Stores

Available on: lululemon.co.uk · Read our full Lululemon Golf review

Key Features:

  • A dedicated golf line since 2022, with men's and women's golf edits on the UK site
  • ABC golf trousers in Warpstreme four-way stretch fabric, plus Evolution and ShowZero polos
  • Min Woo Lee (signed January 2024) and Max Homa (January 2025) lead its golf roster
  • More than 20 UK stores

Pros:

  • Try the fabric and the fit in a British changing room, which Turtleson offers in only a handful of UK pro shops
  • Free UK delivery over £50 and free 30-day returns
  • Complimentary trouser hemming in its stores
  • A full women's golf range

Cons:

  • Men's polos from £78 and ABC golf trousers at £138 in October 2026, close to Turtleson money
  • Athletic styling rather than the country-club look a Turtleson buyer is after
  • Hemmed or altered items can't be returned

Verdict:

Lululemon is the practical premium option: try it on this afternoon and send it back within a month. The stretch fabrics compete with Turtleson's performance polos. What it will never be is a heritage club brand, which is the look that brought you here.

Three Putt Golf: Best for Golf Streetwear Off the Course

Available on: threeputtgolfclothing.co.uk

Key Features:

  • A UK golf streetwear brand based in Leeds, selling four garments in six graphic designs: Contours, Happy Place, Tee Time, Reckless Driving, The Scenic Route and Three on the Green
  • Tees: 100% cotton, 305gsm, relaxed fit, S–2XL, £24.99–£30.99, five colourways per design
  • Long-sleeve tees at 305gsm (100% cotton) for £28.99–£35.99, and 400gsm cotton crewneck sweatshirts for £37.99–£47.99
  • Hoodies: 430gsm, 56% cotton and 44% polyester, oversized drop-shoulder fit, S–2XL, £45.99–£54.99, four colourways per design

Pros:

  • A UK brand priced in pounds, with free UK delivery
  • Hoodies from £45.99, against $150 (about £115) for Turtleson's Bellfield hoodie before you even find a way to get one here
  • Tees run up to 3XL

Cons:

  • No polos, trousers or outerwear, and no caps or women's-specific range
  • Cotton streetwear, not technical kit: no moisture-wicking, stretch fabric or weather protection
  • Returns within 14 days of delivery, emailing support@threeputtgolfclothing.co.uk first, with return postage at the customer's cost

Verdict:

Three Putt is our own brand, so weigh this entry with that in mind. It replaces the hoodie and the sweatshirt on a Turtleson shopping list, not the polo or the trousers. If your club has a collared-shirt dress code, you'll still need a polo from elsewhere.

B.Draddy: Best for the Same Lived-In Luxury with Prices in Pounds

Available on: bdraddy.com · Read our full B.Draddy review

Key Features:

  • Founded in 2013 by Billy Draddy; the name is shorthand for "Brothers Draddy"
  • Part of Summit Golf Brands with Fairway & Greene and Zero Restriction, and official apparel provider for both teams at the 2026 Presidents Cup
  • Polos in what it calls organic Peruvian Pima cotton, made in Peru, at about £85–£106 before VAT in October 2026
  • Ambassadors include Open champions Brian Harman and Justin Leonard, and Paul McGinley

Pros:

  • The closest stylistic sibling to Turtleson here: soft American clubhouse polos with tour credentials
  • Ships to the UK, and choosing the United Kingdom shows prices in pounds
  • Women's and juniors' lines alongside the men's
  • Knitwear that runs up to Scottish cashmere

Cons:

  • Posted prices exclude taxes, shipping and import charges, and no UK delivery rates or duty terms are published
  • International returns are accepted within 30 days, but you pay the postage and buy the label from a local carrier
  • No UK stockists

Verdict:

B.Draddy is the nearest thing to Turtleson you can order to Britain, Presidents Cup pedigree included. The catch is everything after the basket: no published UK delivery or duty terms, and return postage on you. It sits sixth because the buying is uncertain, not the clothes.

Johnnie-O: Best for US Prep with Duties Usually Paid at Checkout

Available on: johnnie-o.com

Key Features:

  • Launched in 2005 by John O'Donnell, a former UCLA golfer who sold his first polos out of his car
  • Calls its style West Coast Prep, mixing East Coast tradition with West Coast casual
  • The Original polo is 95% cotton and 5% spandex at $89 (about £68), with performance mesh polos at $118 (about £91)
  • J.T. Poston and Jake Knapp signed in January 2026, and Poston won the Memorial Tournament that June

Pros:

  • Its FAQ says duties are generally paid and guaranteed at checkout, so most orders avoid a doorstep bill
  • An $89 entry polo undercuts Turtleson's $105–$145 polos
  • Published international delivery times: 6–14 business days standard, 1–5 express
  • Men's, women's and boys' ranges, plus big and tall sizes, with UK coaches Peter Finch and Danny Maude as ambassadors

Cons:

  • No returns on international orders, except where the law requires them
  • Prices in US dollars, so the cost in pounds moves with the exchange rate
  • The signature Original polo is cotton, where Turtleson leads with performance polyester

Verdict:

Johnnie-O is the American purchase that behaves best at a British checkout, with duty usually settled upfront and a published delivery window. Its entry polo costs well under a Turtleson. The no-returns rule on international orders means it suits buyers who already know their size.

Quick Comparison Grid

Summary

Turtleson is one of the most credible brands most British golfers have never handled. It comes from two of the men who started Peter Millar, sells through 291 American stockists including Pinehurst, and earns 4.7 out of 5 from its own buyers.

And it doesn't ship here. Not expensively, not slowly: not at all. The only European door is a trade deal for club professionals, and its September 2026 sales hires for Western Europe didn't include the UK.

Fairway & Greene is the same club-shop species, and it will deliver to Britain. Sounder is the British version of the whole idea, from Carnoustie to its own site. Redvanly ships for $50 flat and B.Draddy shows you pounds, though both leave the duty question open. Lululemon is the try-on option and Johnnie-O the duty-paid one. Three Putt covers the hoodies, sweatshirts and tees you wear after the round.

Frequently Asked Questions About Turtleson

Who founded Turtleson?

Turtleson was founded in 2011 by longtime business partners Greg Oakley and Chet Sikorski, and is run from Bristol, Tennessee, with Oakley as CEO. Before Turtleson, the pair were founding partners of Peter Millar alongside Chris Knott in 2001. The brand trades under the line "Style at Your Own Pace", and an international arm handles growth outside the US.

Does Turtleson ship to the UK?

No. Turtleson's FAQ says it does not offer international shipping, and its store delivers only to US addresses. The simplest UK route is Panmure Pro Shop in Dundee, which sold around 16 Turtleson pieces in pounds in October 2026. Otherwise it means buying on a US trip or using a US parcel-forwarding service. Forwarding adds its own fees plus UK import VAT and possibly duty, and returns from the UK would be at your own cost.

Where can I buy Turtleson in the UK?

Nowhere obvious. In October 2026, American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf and GolfOnline didn't list it, and Turtleson's store locator showed 291 stockists, all in the US. A 2025 deal with the Confederation of Professional Golf offers custom orders to PGA professionals in its member countries, so a club pro may be able to order it.

Who wears Turtleson on tour?

Turtleson signed twins Parker and Pierceson Coody, grandsons of 1971 Masters champion Charles Coody, in January 2026. Its roster lists Pierceson Coody, Trey Mullinax and Henrik Norlander under the PGA Tour, Parker Coody on the Korn Ferry Tour, and DP World Tour players including England's Marcus Armitage. LPGA and PGA Tour Champions players feature too.

How much does Turtleson cost?

Short-sleeve polos cost $105–$145 (most are $120, about £92), quarter-zips $130–$195, shorts $125 and trousers $135–$190. Jackets run $165–$375, with suede pieces up to $795 and a Kephart cashmere hoodie at $395. Prices are in dollars only, there's no UK delivery option, and any workaround adds fees and import tax.

What is Turtleson's return policy?

Its FAQ and product pages say returns within 30 days, but the refund policy page still says 60, so ask before relying on the longer window. Items must be unworn and tagged, every return needs a pre-approved RA number, and you pay postage unless it's faulty. Customers outside the US pay all shipping, duty and taxes.

Is Turtleson good quality?

The evidence is good. Turtleson holds 4.74/5 from 997 on-site reviews, and its guarantee covers workmanship, material and production defects. Fabrics are listed in full on every product page, from 91/9 polyester-spandex polos to 100% merino and cashmere. Its Trustpilot profile has no reviews, so independent evidence is thin.

What is the best Turtleson alternative for UK golfers?

Fairway & Greene is the closest match you can order to Britain: heritage clubhouse polos at £65–£69 before VAT, with merino windsweaters and a full ladies' line. UK returns are accepted, but you pay the postage back to the US. Sounder Golf is the British option, with organic cotton polos at £75–£85 including VAT and delivery free over £100.
