7 Best Fairway & Greene Alternatives in 2026 | Ranked
Updated on: October 1, 2026

Exploring the brands UK golfers turn to when a classic American polo label is built for US pro shops, not British buyers.

How We Review Golf Clothing Brands
Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.
Top Picks
- Chervò: Best overall alternative, with Italian premium golfwear sold in pounds
- Castore Golf: Best for British performance polos with free UK returns
- Ping Apparel: Best for a full range you can buy from UK golf retailers
- Abacus Golf: Best for rated Swedish waterproofs from UK stockists
- Three Putt Golf: Best for golf streetwear off the course
- B.Draddy: Best for American heritage from the same stable
- Sunderland of Scotland: Best for Scottish heritage waterproofs
Why People Look Beyond Fairway & Greene
UK golfers look beyond Fairway & Greene because it is easier to admire than to buy from Britain. The site shows prices in pounds, but they exclude VAT and no UK delivery fee is published. Britain's big golf retailers don't list it, so there's nowhere to try a size. It also makes no waterproofs or golf trousers.
Fairway & Greene is a classic American clubhouse label. It sits inside New York's Summit Golf Brands with B.Draddy and Zero Restriction. The range is built on polos: cutaway-collar styles in 88/12 poly-spandex with a memory-wire collar, plus nine Made in the USA styles. The Caves Quarter Zip scores 5.0/5 from 108 on-site reviews. At the top sit Zegna Baruffa Merino windsweaters with a windproof lining.
The credentials are current. It has been the PGA of America's official staff uniform supplier since 2025. Ryder Cup player Sepp Straka signed in January 2026, calling it "a traditional golf brand with a very classic style" (The Golf Wire). There is a full ladies' line too, with polos, skorts and merino layers.
The trouble starts at checkout. UK prices are straight conversions of the US price, and the terms say they exclude taxes, shipping and import charges. Cutaway polos cost £65–£69 before VAT in October 2026. The shipping page lists only US UPS services, and no UK delivery fee is published. There are two jackets, neither waterproof, one pair of shorts and no golf trousers or caps. Each brand below fixes at least one of those gaps.

Detailed Breakdown by Brand
Chervò: Best Overall Alternative

Available on: chervo.com · Read our full Chervò review
Key Features:
- Began as a ski label in the Dolomites in 1982 and moved into golf in the 1990s; now sold in more than 40 countries
- A UK store priced in pounds with UK sizing: men's UK 36–48 (XS–XXL) and women's polos UK 8–20
- Aqua-Block waterproofs rated at over 20,000mm with taped seams, such as the £281 Masterpiece jacket
- An official Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup licensee, with a 2027 Ryder Cup capsule launched in August 2026
Pros:
- Waterproofs with a published rating, where Fairway & Greene sells no waterproof at all
- UK sizes on a UK store, where Fairway & Greene uses US sizing with a conversion chart
- Men's, women's and junior ranges across polos, knitwear, trousers and jackets
- Team Chervò player Jenny Shin won the 2026 Women's Scottish Open
Cons:
- Men's polos cost about £119–£149 in October 2026, around double Fairway & Greene's £65–£69 before VAT
- UK orders ship DDU, so the courier may bill you for import charges on delivery
- Every return carries a €65 fee, and there are no direct exchanges
Verdict:
Chervò is the premium European answer to the same clubhouse brief, with real waterproofs that Fairway & Greene doesn't make. It costs far more, import charges can still land at your door and every return costs €65. Buy it for the waterproofs and the Italian finish, not for value.
Castore Golf: Best for British Performance Polos with Free UK Returns

Available on: castore.com · Read our full Castore Golf review
Key Features:
- A British sportswear brand founded by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon, with its first golf collection in April 2019
- The Essential polo at £48 (93% polyester, 7% elastane) and the Pique Stripe polo at £60 in October 2026
- Golf trousers at £65 and £78 in Regular and Long legs, LVS quarter-zips at £78 and jackets at £130–£165
- Kit partner to LIV's Majesticks Golf Club since 2025, whose 2026 roster includes Lee Westwood and Ian Poulter
Pros:
- A UK brand priced in pounds, with delivery at £3.95 or free over £60, where Fairway & Greene publishes no UK delivery fee
- Free returns within 28 days
- Polos from £48, below Fairway & Greene's £65–£69 before VAT
- A Trustpilot score of 4.5 from 10,672 reviews for castore.com in October 2026
Cons:
- No women's golf clothing on castore.com in October 2026, where Fairway & Greene runs a full ladies' line
- No exchanges: a wrong size means a refund and a fresh order
- Jackets are water-resistant rather than waterproof, and nothing rivals the Baruffa merino knitwear
Verdict:
Castore is the practical British swap: athletic polos and trousers priced in pounds, with free 28-day returns. It has none of Fairway & Greene's clubhouse prints or merino, and nothing for women. For a man who wants a smart golf polo with no import risk, it is the easiest buy here.
Ping Apparel: Best for a Full Range You Can Buy from UK Golf Retailers

Available on: pingeurope.com · Read our full Ping Apparel review
Key Features:
- From the family-owned golf maker founded in 1959 by Karsten and Louise Solheim, with its European base in Gainsborough
- Polos at £45–£65, midlayers at £55–£110 and trousers at £55–£100 on pingeurope.com in October 2026
- AquaDrive Pro waterproofs rated by PING at 30,000mm, with a five-year limited warranty on AquaDrive Pro and SensorDry 2.5
- Men's (most styles S–3XL), women's (sizes 6–20) and junior (ages 7–12) ranges
Pros:
- Sold direct in pounds, with UK delivery at £5 or free over £50
- Stocked by American Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf and GolfOnline
- Waterproofs and golf trousers, the two things Fairway & Greene doesn't make
- Polos from £45, well below Fairway & Greene's £65–£69 before VAT
Cons:
- Only 14 days to return, with postage at your own cost
- Functional sports styling rather than clubhouse stripes and coastal prints
- Sustainability goes item by item, such as the recycled-polyester Lindum polo, with no wider programme
Verdict:
Ping runs the pro-shop model that Fairway & Greene uses in America, on this side of the Atlantic. The look is plainer and the 14-day return window is short. You can still buy a complete kit, waterproofs included, without a customs charge in sight.
Abacus Golf: Best for Rated Swedish Waterproofs from UK Stockists

Available on: clubhousegolf.co.uk · golfonline.co.uk · Read our full Abacus Golf review
Key Features:
- A family-owned Swedish brand founded in 1991 by Sven-Olof Karlsson and Ingrid Lindgren Wachtmeister, based near Lund
- Three published waterproof tiers: Links (10,000mm), Bounce (15,000mm, four-way stretch) and Pitch 37.5 (20,000mm, sealed seams)
- Men's sizes S–3XL, women's XS–2XL and junior sizes, from rainwear to polos and midlayers
- An official licensee of the 2026 Solheim Cup and the 2027 Ryder Cup
Pros:
- MyGolfSpy named the Pitch 37.5 joint Best Overall in its 2026 rain gear guide, with a 9.8 score
- UK stockist RRPs in pounds: Pitch jacket £269.99, Bounce £219.99 and polos £44.90–£50
- PFC-free rainwear that covers the wet-weather kit Fairway & Greene doesn't make
Cons:
- Abacus's own store ships only to Sweden and Denmark, so UK buyers rely on retailers
- No long-term waterproof guarantee is stated
- Just two Trustpilot reviews (3.5/5), so there is little independent buyer feedback
Verdict:
Abacus beats Fairway & Greene where British golf is hardest: in the rain. Its jackets carry published ratings and a major buying-guide win, and UK golf retailers sell them in pounds. It isn't a polo brand at heart, so pair it with something else for the clubhouse.
Three Putt Golf: Best for Golf Streetwear Off the Course

Available on: threeputtgolfclothing.co.uk · Read our full Fairway & Greene vs Three Putt comparison
Key Features:
- A UK golf streetwear brand based in Leeds, selling six graphic designs across its streetwear: Contours, Happy Place, Tee Time, Reckless Driving, The Scenic Route and Three on the Green
- Tees: 100% cotton, 305gsm, relaxed fit, S–2XL, £24.99–£30.99, five colourways per design
- Long-sleeve tees at 305gsm (100% cotton) for £28.99–£35.99, and 400gsm cotton crewneck sweatshirts for £37.99–£47.99
- Hoodies: 430gsm, 56% cotton and 44% polyester, oversized drop-shoulder fit, S–2XL, £45.99–£54.99, four colourways per design
Pros:
- Priced in pounds, with free UK delivery
- Tees from £24.99 and hoodies from £45.99, against Fairway & Greene polos at £65–£69 before VAT
- Published fabric weights and blends for every garment
Cons:
- No performance polos, trousers or outerwear, and no caps or women's-specific range
- Cotton streetwear, not technical kit: no moisture-wicking, stretch fabric or weather protection
- Returns within 14 days of delivery, emailing support@threeputtgolfclothing.co.uk first, with return postage at the customer's cost
Verdict:
Three Putt is our own brand, so weigh this entry with that in mind. It covers the off-course half of a wardrobe, not the cutaway collar or the merino windsweater. If your club has a collared-shirt dress code, you'll want a polo rather than a tee. For hoodies, sweatshirts and tees after the round, it's a UK option priced in pounds.
B.Draddy: Best for American Heritage from the Same Stable

Available on: bdraddy.com · Read our full B.Draddy review
Key Features:
- Founded in 2013 by Billy Draddy, the third generation of Draddys in sportswear; the name is shorthand for "Brothers Draddy"
- Fairway & Greene's sister brand inside Summit Golf Brands, alongside Zero Restriction
- Polos in what it calls organic long-staple Peruvian Pima cotton; the original Liam polo is 92% Pima and 8% spandex, made in Peru
- Official apparel provider for both teams at the 2026 Presidents Cup at Medinah, as it was in 2024
Pros:
- Accepts international returns within 30 days of purchase
- Soft cotton polos for golfers who don't want poly-spandex against the skin
- Ambassadors include Open champions Brian Harman and Justin Leonard, and Paul McGinley
- Women's and juniors' lines, plus Italian merino and Scottish cashmere knitwear
Cons:
- Polos cost about £85–£106 before VAT and delivery in October 2026, more than Fairway & Greene's £65–£69
- No published UK delivery rates or duty terms, and posted prices exclude taxes and import charges
- No UK stockists, and return postage from Britain is yours to pay
Verdict:
B.Draddy is the same group's softer, pricier take on the clubhouse polo, swapping poly-spandex for Peruvian Pima cotton. The UK buying problems are much the same, with VAT and delivery on top and no UK stockists. Choose it for the cotton and the cashmere, not for an easier route to Britain.
Sunderland of Scotland: Best for Scottish Heritage Waterproofs

Available on: glenmuir.com/sunderland · Read our full Sunderland of Scotland review
Key Features:
- The Sunderland family began tailoring in Glasgow in 1911, and Toby and Ida Sunderland founded the sportswear business in 1966
- Owned by Glenmuir of Lanark since 2020
- Waterproofs rated at 8,000mm and 5,000g/m²/24h, with a lifetime waterproof guarantee for the fabric
- The Whisperdry Stealth jacket at £180, Quebec waterproof trousers at £95 and Morzine showerproof trousers at £75
Pros:
- Free UK standard delivery (1–3 working days) and free UK returns within 28 days
- Proper waterproof jackets and trousers, the half of a British wardrobe Fairway & Greene skips
- The Quebec trousers score 4.8/5 from 241 reviews in October 2026 and come in four leg lengths
- Stocked by Function18, GolfOnline and Clubhouse Golf
Cons:
- Weatherwear only: no polos or shirts
- An 8,000mm rating is modest next to the 20,000mm jackets from Chervò and Abacus
- No exchanges, so a wrong size means a refund and a reorder
Verdict:
Sunderland has the kind of heritage Fairway & Greene sells, with roots in 1911 Glasgow tailoring. It only answers the weather question, not the polo one. For a UK golfer, free delivery, free returns and a lifetime fabric guarantee make it an easy buy.

Summary
Fairway & Greene makes a very good clubhouse polo. The cutaway styles cost £65–£69 before VAT, the Caves Quarter Zip is close to perfectly rated, and the Baruffa windsweaters are serious knitwear. The PGA of America dresses its staff in it, and Sepp Straka signed in 2026.
For a UK golfer, the buying is the problem. Prices show in pounds but exclude VAT, no UK delivery fee is published and no big UK retailer stocks it. There are no waterproofs or golf trousers either.
Chervò is the premium pick, with rated waterproofs and UK sizing. Castore and Ping sell in pounds with UK delivery and returns, and Ping adds a full family range. Abacus and Sunderland cover the rain. B.Draddy is the sister brand, with Pima cotton in place of poly-spandex. Three Putt covers the hoodies, sweatshirts and tees you wear after the round.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fairway & Greene
Does Fairway & Greene ship to the UK?
Yes. A UK visitor sees prices in pounds, but they are conversions of the US price with no UK VAT added. The terms say posted prices exclude taxes, shipping, customs and import charges, and no UK delivery fee is published. Check the full total at checkout before paying, as VAT and possibly duty come on top.
How does Fairway & Greene sizing run?
Traditional rather than slim. The cutaway polos have a slight taper from chest to hips, and the brand describes its cuts as tailored but not tight. Men's styles mostly run S–3XL, with six core styles up to 5XL. Ladies' sizes run XS–XL or XS–2XL. The size chart uses US sizes, with UK conversions.
Who owns Fairway & Greene?
Summit Golf Brands, a New York golf apparel group led by Chairman and CEO Chad Delp. Its portfolio is Fairway & Greene, B.Draddy and Zero Restriction. Summit runs a 70,000 sq ft fulfilment and embroidery operation in Wisconsin. It says it serves more than 3,000 retailers, pro shops and corporate partners in over 25 countries.
How much does Fairway & Greene cost in the UK?
Shown to a UK visitor in October 2026, before VAT and delivery: cutaway polos £65–£69, Made in the USA polos £76–£84 and the Caves Quarter Zip £120. Baruffa Merino windsweaters run from £224 to £314 for the Commodore. Ladies' polos are £85 and skorts £107. UK VAT comes on top, plus a delivery fee that isn't published.
Where can I buy Fairway & Greene in the UK?
Direct from fairwayandgreene.com. American Golf, Scottsdale Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf and GolfOnline had no Fairway & Greene products in October 2026. The brand's strength is US pro shops and clubs, so UK golfers will rarely see it in person or get the chance to try a size before buying.
Is Fairway & Greene sustainable?
There is little to go on. Sustainability sits on a page shared across Summit Golf Brands, which lists general aims such as recycled polyester and water-efficient dyeing. It gives no certifications or figures for Fairway & Greene itself. The polos are poly-spandex, and the windsweaters use Italian Zegna Baruffa Merino wool.
Which golfers wear Fairway & Greene?
Austrian Ryder Cup player Sepp Straka signed with the brand in January 2026 and wears it at selected PGA Tour events. PGA of America staff wear it at the PGA Championship and Senior PGA Championship under a multi-year deal announced in March 2025. Summit's group-wide ambassadors include Colin Montgomerie, Darren Clarke and Jim Furyk.
What is the best Fairway & Greene alternative for UK golfers?
Chervò is the best overall swap if the budget stretches: Italian premium golfwear priced in pounds, with rated waterproofs and UK sizing. For a cheaper polo with free UK returns, Castore starts at £48. Ping sells polos, trousers and waterproofs for the whole family through UK golf retailers.
