7 Best Antigua Golf Alternatives in 2026 | Ranked

Exploring the brands golfers turn to when Antigua's value polos are priced in dollars and its own store won't ship to Britain.

How We Review Golf Clothing Brands
Every review on the Three Putt journal is written by Graeme Whiles, the founder of Three Putt Golf Clothing. As a competing brand, we have an obvious conflict of interest. We take this seriously and address it directly in our review methodology, which explains how we assess brands consistently regardless of whether they compete with us.
Top Picks
- Ping Apparel: Best overall alternative for a full club range sold in the UK
- Slazenger Golf: Best for a corporate cousin you can buy in the UK
- Calvin Klein Golf: Best for a licensed label with UK golf shops behind it
- Stuburt: Best for British club kit sold direct in pounds
- Cutter & Buck: Best for corporate polos with certified recycled fabric
- Three Putt Golf: Best for golf streetwear off the course
- Levelwear: Best for North American golf and team-wear with a major champion
Why People Look Beyond Antigua
UK golfers look beyond Antigua because its golf range is hard to buy here. Antigua's own store ships only to US addresses and prices everything in dollars, and no major UK golf retailer listed the brand in October 2026. The one working route, Fanatics' TGL shop, sells team gear rather than the golf collections.
Antigua is an Arizona apparel house with a long golf history. Tom Dooley started it in his Scottsdale garage in 1976 as Eagle Golf of Scottsdale, and renamed it Antigua in 1979 after a Caribbean holiday. It now runs from Peoria, Arizona, under chief executive Keith Kealer, and it dressed the 1993 US Ryder Cup team.
The appeal is fair money and inclusive sizes. Men's polos ran $40–$70 (about £31–£54) in October 2026, from the $40 Legacy piqué to $65 Fall 26 golf polos in Desert Dry stretch jersey with UPF 50+. Core Essentials polos such as the Tribute and Legacy run S–5X. Around the golf sits a big licensing business, from the NFL and MLB to TGL teams and Manchester City.
There's a British twist. In 2003 Antigua agreed to sell a controlling interest to Ashley NA, part of Mike Ashley's sports retail group, for $10.25 million. Its president, Ronald McPherson, said the deal gave it "an ability to sell Antigua products in the United Kingdom". Today IBML, Frasers Group's licensing arm, lists Antigua alongside Slazenger, Everlast and Kangol. The golf range still isn't on British shelves.
The gaps go beyond postage. There are no men's golf trousers or shorts and no dedicated golf rain jacket. Returns run 30 days from the ship date, with postage free only for wrong or damaged items. Even the store's Big & Tall page showed no products in October 2026. Here are seven alternatives, most of which you can buy in pounds.

Detailed Breakdown by Brand
Ping Apparel: Best overall alternative for a full club range sold in the UK

Available on: pingeurope.com
Key Features:
- Family-owned PING, founded in 1959 by Karsten and Louise Solheim, bought its European clothing licensee, PING Collection Europe, in November 2013
- The Sensor platform sorts the range by job: SensorCool polos, SensorWarm layers and SensorDry waterproofs
- Polos at £45–£65, trousers at £55–£100 and waterproof jackets at £150–£300 on pingeurope.com in October 2026
- Men's tops XS–3XL on core styles, women's sizes 6–20, junior pieces for ages 7–12 and Team Europe's 2026 Solheim Cup kit
Pros:
- Priced in pounds with free UK delivery over £50, and stocked by American Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf and GolfOnline
- Proper rainwear: the £300 AquaDrive Pro jacket is rated 30,000mm, and AquaDrive Pro and SensorDry 2.5 pieces carry a five-year limited warranty
- Trousers in four cuts and four leg lengths, from 30 to 44 inch waists, where Antigua sells no men's golf trousers
- The £45 Lindum polo is 100% recycled polyester with UPF 40+
Cons:
- Dearer than Antigua's US prices: a £45 Lindum against a $40 (about £31) Legacy piqué
- Returns within 14 days only, posted back at your own cost
- Nothing beyond 3XL, where Antigua's core polos reach 5X
Verdict:
Ping is the closest thing to Antigua's pro-shop polo that a British golfer can simply order, and it adds the golf trousers and dedicated rainwear Antigua doesn't make. You pay more per polo than Antigua's dollar prices, but you pay in pounds. Big sizes are the one place Antigua still wins.
Slazenger Golf: Best for a corporate cousin you can buy in the UK

Available on: slazenger.com and sportsdirect.com
Key Features:
- A British sports brand founded in 1881 and part of Frasers Group since 2004
- IBML, Frasers Group's licensing arm, lists Slazenger and Antigua side by side in its brand portfolio
- Golf polos, zip tops, trousers, shorts, water-resistant jackets and caps, plus women's and junior basics, shoes and equipment
- Sold mainly through Sports Direct, while slazenger.com charges the full list price for the same items
Pros:
- Sports Direct prices in October 2026 of £9.50–£12 for polos and £15 for golf trousers
- The Check polo runs XS–5XL, matching Antigua's 5X ceiling, and trouser waists run from 28 to 50
- Junior polos, trousers and zip tops, plus women's golf trousers in sizes 8–18
Cons:
- No genuinely waterproof jacket: both golf jackets are listed as water-resistant
- £4.99 standard delivery on every order, and online returns cost from £4.99
- Plain polyester basics with no named fabric technology, and no customer reviews on the Sports Direct listings
Verdict:
Slazenger is the irony of this list: a brand from the same licensing portfolio as Antigua, sold on British rails at a fraction of Antigua's dollar prices. It matches Antigua's big sizes but not its fabrics. Expect plain basics and paid returns rather than Desert Dry stretch jersey with UPF 50+.
Calvin Klein Golf: Best for a licensed label with UK golf shops behind it

Available on: americangolf.co.uk and function18.com
Key Features:
- A licensed line: PVH-owned Calvin Klein licenses golf to PGB Sports of Cork, its global master licensee since 2009
- Stocked by American Golf, Function18, Clubhouse Golf, GolfOnline, County Golf and Next
- Most polos at £35–£60 and trousers at £44.99–£69.99, with a £35 Uni polo in organic cotton and recycled polyester
- The Feather Dry 15K jacket is rated 15,000mm, fully seam-sealed with waterproof zips, at £89.99–£110
Pros:
- The same licensed-brand model as Antigua's team ranges, but sold from UK stock with no import charges
- American Golf delivers free over £50 and takes online returns within 30 days, free in any of its stores
- Men's, women's and junior collections, plus golf trousers and seam-sealed rainwear Antigua doesn't make
Cons:
- No Calvin Klein Golf shop of its own, so prices and policies vary by stockist
- Men's sizes mostly stop at 2XL, far short of Antigua's 5X
- No current tour roster to set against Team Antigua's LPGA names
Verdict:
Calvin Klein Golf runs the licensed-label model Antigua knows well, but through British golf shops. Its polos cost about what Antigua's would after conversion, and the seam-sealed Feather Dry 15K covers the rain that Antigua's range doesn't. Larger golfers will find the 2XL ceiling the deal-breaker.
Stuburt: Best for British club kit sold direct in pounds

Available on: stuburt.com
Key Features:
- Trades as World Wide Golf Brands Ltd from Whitefield, Manchester, and traces its name to the shoemakers Stubbs and Burt in 1860
- Graeme McDowell won the 2010 US Open and Darren Clarke the 2011 Open in Stuburt shoes
- Polos at £29.99–£49.99 at full price, in a 92% polyester, 8% spandex stretch knit with UV50
- Signed deals with three LIV Golf teams in 2024 and now dresses Fireballs GC
Pros:
- Priced in pounds with free UK delivery over £60, and a 4.2 Trustpilot score from 669 reviews in October 2026
- A full men's outfit, from polo to waterproof trousers, with waterproofs rated 10,000mm, taped seams and prices under £100
- A £29.99 Urban Performance polo, close to Antigua's $40 Legacy once converted
Cons:
- Men's clothing only: the sole women's items are a boot and a glove, and there's no junior range
- Sizes stop at 3XL, short of Antigua's 5X
- 30-day returns with no exchanges, and you pay the return postage
Verdict:
Stuburt is the British direct-seller at roughly Antigua's polo money, with an independent review base Antigua can't show. It adds the golf trousers and rainwear Antigua lacks. Women and larger men are better served by Antigua's range, if they can get hold of it.
Cutter & Buck: Best for corporate polos with certified recycled fabric

Available on: cutterbuck.com · Read our full Cutter & Buck review
Key Features:
- Founded on Seattle's waterfront in 1989 by Harvey Jones and Joey Rodolfo, and owned by Sweden's New Wave Group since 2007
- Official collections for the 2026 U.S. Open and the 2026 PGA Championship
- The Virtue polo is 95% recycled polyester, with GRS-certified recycled content
- Title sponsor of the Swedish Golf Federation's men's tour, the Cutter & Buck Tour, since 2024
Pros:
- The same corporate and licensed polo brief as Antigua, with certified recycled fabric behind it
- amfori BSCI and Fair Labor Association partnerships, matching Antigua's FLA credentials
- A dedicated big and tall department for larger golfers
- Polos turn up on Amazon UK from various sellers, so there is at least one route in
Cons:
- Its US shipping page says "international delivery is not available"
- Its European site, cutterbuck.eu, is a catalogue with no prices or checkout
- The US store sells no caps or other headwear
Verdict:
Cutter & Buck is Antigua's closest American twin: corporate polos, championship licences and FLA membership, with certified recycled fabric on top. For a UK buyer it repeats Antigua's problem, because its own store won't ship here either. Amazon UK sellers are the workaround, which is why it sits fifth.
Three Putt Golf: Best for golf streetwear off the course

Available on: threeputtgolfclothing.co.uk
Key Features:
- A UK golf streetwear brand based in Leeds, selling four garments in six graphic designs: Contours, Happy Place, Tee Time, Reckless Driving, The Scenic Route and Three on the Green
- Tees in 100% cotton at 305gsm, relaxed fit, S–2XL, £24.99–£30.99, in five colourways per design
- Hoodies at 430gsm (56% cotton, 44% polyester), oversized drop-shoulder fit, S–2XL, £45.99–£54.99
- Sweatshirts at 400gsm, £37.99–£47.99, and long-sleeve tees at 305gsm, £28.99–£35.99
Pros:
- Priced in pounds, with free UK delivery
- Hoodies from £45.99, against $75 (about £58) for Antigua's Effortless full-zip hood in the US
- Heavyweight hoodies and sweatshirts for the clubhouse and the drive home
Cons:
- No polos, trousers or outerwear, so clubs with a collared-shirt dress code mean buying a polo elsewhere
- Cotton streetwear, not technical kit: no wicking, stretch or weather claims
- Returns within 14 days of delivery, emailing support first, with return postage at the customer's cost
Verdict:
Antigua dresses the corporate golf day, and Three Putt dresses the bar afterwards. That makes it a partial answer rather than a replacement for an Antigua polo, which is why it sits sixth. It earns its place because it actually arrives, priced in pounds with free UK delivery.
Levelwear: Best for North American golf and team-wear with a major champion

Available on: us.levelwear.com
Key Features:
- A family-owned Canadian company from Richmond Hill, Ontario, that dates itself to 1987, with Hester Ngo as chief executive
- An NFL licence in August 2026 joined its MLB, NHL, NBA, US Soccer and CFL deals, completing a set of major North American leagues
- Most full-price golf polos at $70–$90 (about £54–£69), with the Versa polo in 91% recycled polyester
- Ambassadors Aaron Rai and Ryan Fox won the 2026 PGA Championship and The Open
Pros:
- The same golf-plus-licensing model as Antigua, with more tour success behind it in 2026
- Proper rainwear: the $175 Repel jacket is a fully taped 15k/15k waterproof
- A deep women's line, running XS–XXL on most styles
Cons:
- The US store ships only to US addresses, and the Canadian store only to Canada and the US
- Men's golf tops stop at XXL, well short of Antigua's 5X
- Its returns pages disagree (60 days from order on one, 30 days from shipping at checkout), and sale items are final
Verdict:
Levelwear is the version of Antigua's golf-and-licensing model that won majors in 2026, and it is just as hard to buy from Britain. It beats Antigua on waterproofs and loses on big sizes. It closes the list as the mirror image, proof that the postage problem isn't Antigua's alone.

Summary
Antigua does the unglamorous things well. It makes fairly priced polos in sizes to 5X, carries licences from the NFL to TGL, and publishes its supplier list as a Fair Labor Association participant. Fifty years on, it is still a dependable pro-shop and team-store name in America.
Very little of that reaches Britain. Its own store ships only to US addresses, the main UK golf shops don't stock it, and only TGL team gear comes through Fanatics. That's despite a 2003 deal its then president said would let it sell in the United Kingdom, and a Frasers licensing arm that still lists the brand.
The alternatives split by what drew you to Antigua. Ping is the all-round answer, with the golf trousers and rainwear Antigua doesn't make. Slazenger is the Frasers-family budget option, Calvin Klein Golf the licensed label in UK golf shops and Stuburt the British direct-seller. Cutter & Buck and Levelwear are the North American mirrors with the same postage problem. Three Putt covers the clubhouse.

Frequently Asked Questions About Antigua
Who owns Antigua?
Antigua is based in Peoria, Arizona, and run by chief executive Keith Kealer. In 2003 it agreed to sell a controlling interest to Ashley NA, part of Mike Ashley's sports retail group, for $10.25 million. Frasers Group's licensing arm, IBML, still lists Antigua alongside Slazenger, Everlast and Kangol. Tom Dooley founded the business in Scottsdale in 1976 and renamed it Antigua in 1979.
Does Antigua ship to the UK?
Not from its own store, which ships only to US addresses and charges in dollars. Major UK golf retailers, including American Golf, Function18 and GolfOnline, listed no Antigua clothing in October 2026. The working route is Antigua's TGL team gear on Fanatics' TGL shop, which ships to Great Britain in 4–10 business days. It charges 20% VAT on orders up to £135 and adds a clearance charge at checkout above that.
How much are Antigua polos?
In US dollars, the Legacy piqué is $40 (about £31), the Tribute $45 (about £35) and the Skills $55 (about £42). Fall 26 golf polos cost $65 (about £50), and the Cruise and Ananas $70 (about £54). Women's polos run $40–$65 on its US store, and TGL team polos cost more through the TGL shop ($80.99 for a New York Golf Club polo in October 2026), before shipping and UK import charges.
Does Antigua still make big and tall sizes?
Yes, style by style. Core Essentials polos such as the Tribute and Legacy run S–5X, and women's core styles run XS–3X. The newest Fall 26 golf polos were listed online in M–XL only, though, and the store's Big & Tall collection page showed no products in October 2026. Among brands you can buy in the UK, Slazenger's Check polo runs to 5XL.
Who wears Antigua on tour?
Team Antigua lists LPGA players Stacy Lewis, Lizette Salas, Allisen Corpuz and Lauren Coughlin, alongside Will Gordon and senior-tour player Woody Austin. The history runs deeper. After a 1988 deal with the NFL, Antigua dressed Payne Stewart in NFL team colours on tour, and it outfitted the 1993 US Ryder Cup team captained by Tom Watson.
Is Antigua still a golf brand?
Partly. Its store says "Our heritage is based in golf apparel", and new Fall 26 golf polos arrived in July 2026. But the store listed more than 5,700 products in October 2026, much of it licensed gear for US leagues, colleges, TGL teams and Premier League clubs. Golf is now one part of a much bigger licensed-apparel business.
Is Antigua good quality?
For the money, yes. The golf polos use performance jerseys with Desert Dry wicking, four-way stretch and UPF 50+, and the Essentials piqués are built to take embroidery and repeated washing. Independent evidence is thin, though. There's no Trustpilot profile, and the Tribute polo held 5.0 from seven on-site reviews in October 2026.
What is Antigua's return policy?
You get 30 days from the ship date to return unworn items with tags for a refund or an exchange. Return postage is free only if Antigua sent the wrong item or it arrived damaged, and full-price items get a price adjustment within 10 days of shipping. The terms are written for US orders, since the store ships only to US addresses.
